A few things to note, first of all I again "DO NOT" recommend this guitarlele. I found afterward doing this video, is the frets from the thirteenth fret and higher are installed slanted and that makes each chord slightly out of tune. This Kadance company never contacted me back via email on my findings with "both" defects from my first purchase and second purchase before I made this video and also to note once again that I also reached out to them via Facebook. I was able to finish setting this Guitalele up as well as installing real Aquila Strings on it, the 96c Guilele set. I can also, tune and play it to Standard E tuning after I configured the saddle height and the truss rod in the bridge a certain way. On this second guitarlele the frets are slanted from the 13 fret upwards to the body. So when playing chords that high up the fretboard the slanted frets cause the chords to be out of tune. There no simple fix, in regards to that. One other thing to add, I talked to Amazon in regards to all of the work that I put into this SECOND Guitalele that is in this video. Because I've spent so much time into shipping the other first Guitalele out, and then had to go beyond a basic setup, filing down the high frets, fret end, the saddle (more than just a normal setup) as well as I even had one of the "supposedly" Aquila String break over night on its own (a first for me).. They refunded me HALF of the cost. So in the end, I only paid $35.00 for this Guitalele. To me, that is very fair outcome. Also to note, the Kadance Company that I have the link to this new video on their facebook page did not comment AT ALL on this second video. Again.. there is something very strange about this company and I again DO NOT recommend there products if you are not experienced in setting up string instruments or basic repairs. Tom , yamaha gl 1 is unavailable in my country right now ...options are very limited .... if i have to get one of these ..what do you suggest .. the acoustic or the semi acoustic ? Kadence has both available ... and are the strings of the semi acoustic made of fluorocarbon ?

Unless you are experienced in instrument repair and do not mind spending more of your money and time repairing the instrument. See if you can find a KMISE Guitarlele, I have one of those and I've owned it for at least 3 years now. I don't recommend any strings for this instrument as I do not recommend the instrument.
