I was at the guitar store a couple of weeks ago and I passed by this guitar that was hanging on the wall. It had a nice top, the wood grain was really close together and white. I knew it was a Yamaha. I looked inside the sound hole and was surprised that it was an FS800. I thought it would be a higher end model. So, I just went by it to look at the rest of the guitars and played a couple other guitars. 4 days later I went to the same store to buy guitar picks and I walked by it again and took a look at it again and passed, thinking that I already had a Yamaha AR3M, an all solid guitar that cost about $900.00. So, I went on to play a Martin D-10E. While I was playing the Martin for about 3 songs I looked at the Yamaha FS-800 hanging in the wall and I heard it call my mame. So I picked it up and played a couple of songs and I went wow!… With all due respects to Martin, I said to myself, this little thing projects and sounds better than the D 10 that I was playing. I have had many Yamaha guitars before. But it was the tone that didn’t really like and sold them all back to guitar center. It turns out that I had an LL16, LS16 and others. This one sounded different and it had a tone I was looking for. So i said, I already have way too many guitars going up to almost $3000. End of story that Yamaha didn’t let me put it down and sold my AR3 back to Guitar Center and this one is a big time keeper. I call it “mi diablita” my little devil. What an amazing, easy to play, awesome sounding and projecting 000 size guitar. I owned a Martin OM solid, made in Nazareth and this one I like better!…
Hello, Thank You for your comment. The audio in my videos are very limited at times..And I need to try to remake this one. But YES it would be a great choice as the size is nice, and the body size is great for all around playing. If I could have only one acoustic guitar that I currently own, it would be this one. Try to buy on Amazon in case there is any major defects you can return it easily.. Any mass produced product that can happen. Look out for excessive buzzing from really high frets, warped necks.. ECT. Or, if the price is around the $220.00 USD try to buy it locally. Music stores usually overcharge for a basic setup that is "sometimes" needed after buying an acoustic guitar. Setting a truss rod in the neck and lowering the string saddle is a basic setup. $50.00 USD is a good price anything $100.00 or higher is not. There are great videos on RUclips how to do either / or. Have a great day / night. - Mr.Tom
Hi there. My first time here. Songwriter and live performance musician here. You are refreshing. Im going to purchase one of these guitars for porch, for couch...lol For therapy in my writing rut. God Bless. Will continue my visits with you. 😊
Thank You for your comment and visiting. Sorry for the late reply as I've been trying to expand my videos a bit on TikTok and Clapper. I again REALLY DO suggest this guitar, shop around for the best price but make sure if you buy it on line it that retail company has a great return policy. I think Amazon may be still your best bet. And for a concert body sized guitar and what I said about the versatility of strumming chords and finger-picking.. this one in at the low price point, is hard to beat. Thanks again for dropping by.
Good video....thanks for posting
Thanks, I appreciate your comment. Happy Holidays.

I really love the FS800, for strumming or finger picking it's a great all around acoustic guitar.
Great video Tom. Im looking at this same guitar for my granddaughter for her first guitar. They really sound great for their size.

I completely agree with you the FS800 is Really good acoustic guitar, and most luthiers are expensive for no reason.
