    To kick off the comments, is this pedal worth the hype? And what effect on the console will you use the most?

    Great demo! For the reels setting, is it automatically dotted eighths, or do you have to program that?

      Hey I really appreciate it!
      And so as you turn the “Time” knob the subdivisions will change! The tempo of the subdivision are set by the tap tempo! So it will do all the different subdivisions!
      I find that this is a complicated way of doing it, but once you use it it makes sense!

    Heya, sorry, quite unrelated, but how did you record the drums in the beginning? Is it even recorded or samples? Absolutely love the sound.

    Hi, do you think it could replace "normal" modulations and ambient effects in a guitar pedalboard?
    And could the sound and feel be good in a band mix with a second guitarist?
    Or this pedal is only for experiments, unconventional sounds with a touch of vintage feel?

    • @JackSole17
      @JackSole17  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hey, yeah so we’ve been kinda talking about this in another comment thread, but I totally think that you can put the chroma console on a pedal board and have it take the place of some ambient effects and modulation!
      And the effects would sound great in a band mix I’m sure! I’ve been experimenting with it a lot and can’t wait to use it with my band!
      Everything thing about this pedal feels world class, the drive sounds really good, but I wouldn’t replace my overdrive with that one!

    • @MartinStromer85
      @MartinStromer85 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@JackSole17 My "fear" is that the overdrive and fuzz section could be with too much digital sound

    How well does the pitch mode track and can the effect be turned on and off fast enough to simulate the Nels Cline / Adrian Belew whammy effect (set an interval and then randomly spam the bypass for glitchy stuff)? I sold my Whammy IV to pay for one of these but I’m concerned I won’t be able to do that effect anymore.

    • @JackSole17
      @JackSole17  7 месяцев назад

      The pitch effects is really cool but not super conventional, there is a bit of a delay to the tracking!
      But I would say you’ll be able to come close to recreating what your going for! And it turns off and on quickly!!

    • @tannerdowning-mcadams110
      @tannerdowning-mcadams110 7 месяцев назад +2

      i would say the tracking is very similar to a 1st gen whammy, like you hear on early radiohead. definitely not clean like a pog but it has its own thing. mark johnsons review has a good demo of each effect individually if you want to hear it.

    • @CardinalPhonics
      @CardinalPhonics 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@tannerdowning-mcadams110 that’s exactly what I’m looking for! I love the bad polyphony of the IV but I need the tracking latency to be pretty minute otherwise my more Fripp/St. Vincent’y lines don’t communicate nearly as well. It seems like in every demo of the Chroma Console the pitch effect is given the least amount of air time

    Aside from fuzz what can the CC do that LVX can’t do?

    • @JackSole17
      @JackSole17  7 месяцев назад

      That’s a good questions! I would say you would be able to achieve most things the CC can do with the LVX, but on the other hand the CC’s effects are voiced differently! Like can they both do a vibrato sound? Yes, but do they sounds the same? No I don’t think so!
      Another big one for example is the lofi effects on the CC sounds different then the LVX lofi effects!
      Both hugely amazing creative pedals!

    Feels like this is a good pedal for DJ-ing or desktop mixing but ‘one parameter per effect’ doesn’t look enough for me. Gestures and order changing is neat though. Great channel btw, subscribed.

      This is definitely for desktop mixing and synths, and guitar and bass effects when recording. I wouldn't really put this on a pedalboard unless you needed one of the specific sounds for some reason.

    • @JackSole17
      @JackSole17  7 месяцев назад

      @@Eli_B3000 There are some great features that make this pedal super pedalboard-friendly, like assigning the bypass footswitch to turn some effects off and some on! I've had it on my board for a couple of weeks now and I'm loving it!

      @@JackSole17 I hear you, but just wanted to point out that this isn't going to replace a stack of pedals for most people since it's got some very niche tones to it. It's more like a compliment to your setup and less of a replacement. I was seeing if I could replace a few of my stack of pedals I use for synths, but it is more of a jack of all trades type thing. However, I think it's enough to replace my Generation Loss, which is a whole single pedal that costs as much as this one, so that's good. But it won't replace a few of my delays and reverbs, the delay and reverbs are decent on here but not quite the same, or at least from what I've heard so far while using it. It is a great tool though and I'm definitely hanging on to it, I love the build, colors, and many of the features on it.
