It's crazy how unrepairable modern tech has become. They could have made opening so much easier just by hiding some screws under the rubber bumpers.

SO where is your video of you removing the battery?
I have a doubt as I've been working for years with an electronics and repair laboratory, if the surface book 2 GTX 1050 GPU card can be attached to the surface book 1 base, if there's any adaptation for this my friend, just a question... the connectors are practically identical, I don't know if updating the firmware will recognize the most current gpu, you already do some test with this case ....

I need to replace batteries in both keyboard and screen batteries. What is your feedback/ advice replacing the surface book 2 15" screen battery without breaking the screen?

Did the usb A port module have a cutout for the gpu fan?
I’m looking for a replacement part but am uncertain if the performance base uses a different module than the one without gpu.

Hi Rick, did you manage to get this base to charge? Is so where did you purchase the replacement battery?
You can use the charger directly on the base to charger it up
once you remove the base, are the ram slots accessible?
ram cannot be upgraded

So after I warp the F out of the base to get the base off and change the battery. How can I get my bottom plate/base to form back to a relatively straight/flat bottom again? Lol😅
heat helps... but too much will warp it

Hi, I have surface book 1 i5 8GB/128GB,
When I insert the plug into the Charging Port, the white light comes on
When I press the power button, the laptop does not turn on.
I can't disconnect the screen from the keyboard either. When I press the Surface's Eject Button, the light turns red.
When I press the power button and hold down the volume up button, after a dozen or so seconds, the red light from the Surface tablet's disconnect button lights up once.
Dear colleagues, what is the reason why I can't turn on surface book1 ?
