The end of Jeht's quest was so unreal. The way Traveler just agreed to un-alive all of those people. I was like, "I don't feel so good after all this genocide."
If you played the entire game back to back all the way from Monstadt to Sumeru, you will feel what the Traveler felt. Constant betrayal and back stabbing, enough is enough, it's time to either step up or fucked up. I'm fine with people who just get in the Traveler's way, but to plot our death for the 3rd time in a single week is enough don't you think ? And there's literally no longer any good people in the Tanit tribe anyways since all the good ones already either got assassinated or left. And that includes Jeht, she's ain't that good a girl, just a mindless muscle that accept all of Babel's assassinations of innocent people without a doubt. I don't even need to know the fact that the Tanit was selling Jeht to Fatui, cause the moment Babel said she would kill us to gain control over the Jinn, she was dead as fuck to me. When Paimon adviced us that we should think more about this, I was like "back the fuck off Paimon, they all had their chances to gave up on killing us for like 6 quests ago... This shit is bouta get nasty Honey". The fact that the Traveler animation went into battle mode right after that had me immersive as hell 😂 Also, after this there's the other Vasrana part of the desert, and guess what ? MORE BETRAYAL !!! 😂
Honestly Bebel got defeated the moment Jeth got Introduced in her scheme. She is a fearless, brutal war machine yet she is reasonable and listens to people before coming to a judgement, to the point that she even allowed Bebel to speak at the end after all she did and was willing to let her go alive. Another grave mistake Bebel made was to underestimate the traveller, she saw the traveller as nothing more than Jets friend and a person who coincidentally became the master of the jinn. Her plan was more focused on Jeth than the traveller, she made both of them against each other, yes but she believed Jeth's loyalty to the tribe is more than her friendship to the traveller and she was right to some degree(Jeth attacked the traveller before listening to them and tried to kill them as well) but she didn't include the possibility that the traveller might be way stronger than Jeth and that they might make Jeth listen and figure out her true plans. It's not her fault though, before the arrival of the traveller, Jeth has shown her capabilities and she is perhaps the strongest person in the whole tanit tribe. But she should have done a background check of the traveller, after all they were a variable in her plan cause she never really knew their potential
Naw bro, she messed up the moment she tried scheming against us, the travelers. We can take down a puppet-God, what is a tribe in the desert compared to it? Whelp, either way... Zhongli really makes the game funny, 'cause of how the antagonists say they're going to wreck us all, and me just standing there with a 50k Zhongli shield...
Not an coincidence that HYV uses different religions and mix them. Babel was named after the Tower of Babel, a parabel that God brought all the people around the world and men was capable of speaking one same language. However, men wanted to equal to God, however, He noticed this heresy and punished humankind by making them speak different languages, and not longer able to understand each other. Therefore the word babbling, which means "incoherent words". Which makes another connection with their tribe name, Tanit. A warrior goddess of dancing, creation and fertility, which is a reference to Nabu Malikata, the Goddess of Flowers, which also known as the goddess of dancing, creator of the first Djinns / Seelies and Purple Padhisaras. Thank you so much for this lore bit, Klemen!
I love the trope of women using their beauty and sex in exchange for power, and Babel ticks all the boxes. Might think about that baby lost in the sands (and growing up to become Dehya) though.
The Sumeru world quests have been amazing, Babel was honestly a pretty good villain with how manipulative she was and her background was a very surprising discovery, part of me wants more Jeht quests but the other kind of just wants to assume Jeht is happy wherever she is. Another quest runs the risk of her ending up in another bad situation. Also as weird as it sounds I find it almost amusing how the Traveler didn't even hesitate to eliminate a whole tribe of people, they seem like the type of character that would be against this. But then again they don't really seem to feel bad about killing hilichurls even after finding out that they use to be human, and also a character called Haniyyah said that mercenaries that managed to escape made posters of the Traveler so they can avoid them. So I guess the Traveler actually has one heck of a body count, I wonder if this was even their first time wiping out a whole bunch of people. ((Haniyyah is a character from the Fabulous Fungi event))

Oh! So that's why Babel is white! I'm sure this is going to trigger a lot of people, but most people from Sumeru's desert has dark skin in diferent shades, while those from the rain forest are mostly white. I was very confused why would they make her design so pale then.
I've read about it on Reddit, but even though I'm 100% caught up with all the quest and have explored everything I haven't found it,can you describe where it is?
@Animely I don't know if you'll see this. I must apologize for a late response. I didn't get notifications. I only came back because Ashikai mentioned the video, and I decided to watch it again. If you haven't already found the notes, they are scattered near the path into this part of the desert. After triggering Paimon's dialogue on arrival, I saw a seelie. I followed it. There were 3 or 4 notes along the seelie route. Mostly near hillichurls digging in the ground. The last note mentions a young woman with scars who is hunting for Masseira.
In the Hebrew bible Babylon is named "Babel" (sound more like Bavel) and pronounced more similar to how he says it. Im guessing he says it that way because of the origin of the name
Not exactly. Tanit is the name of a warrior goddess of dance, creation and ferlity, which is a parallel with Nabu Malikata, the Goddess of Flowers, who is know mostly know because of her mystical dancing skills and creation of Djinn and the Purple Padihsaras.

Man I loved babel.
Oh! So that's why Babel is white! I'm sure this is going to trigger a lot of people, but most people from Sumeru's desert has dark skin in diferent shades, while those from the rain forest are mostly white. I was very confused why would they make her design so pale then.
yup! it's cool if HYV intentionally thought of that
I know this was about Babel and not Jeht, but did you find the letters about the mercenary group lead by a woman fitting Jeht's description?
I've read about it on Reddit, but even though I'm 100% caught up with all the quest and have explored everything I haven't found it,can you describe where it is?
@@Animely0 same i need to know, firdt I've heard about thus
Yeah maybe we'll make a video about her story next
@Animely I don't know if you'll see this. I must apologize for a late response. I didn't get notifications. I only came back because Ashikai mentioned the video, and I decided to watch it again.
If you haven't already found the notes, they are scattered near the path into this part of the desert. After triggering Paimon's dialogue on arrival, I saw a seelie. I followed it. There were 3 or 4 notes along the seelie route. Mostly near hillichurls digging in the ground. The last note mentions a young woman with scars who is hunting for Masseira.
Time to see another graet video

Great
your pronunciation of Babel is a bit odd for me since it is quite different from the one I know, could anyone tell me why he pronounce it like that ?
In the Hebrew bible Babylon is named "Babel" (sound more like Bavel) and pronounced more similar to how he says it. Im guessing he says it that way because of the origin of the name
Babbels hot 🙂
Tanit=Taint
am I dumb to think about this or is it a coincidence?
Not exactly. Tanit is the name of a warrior goddess of dance, creation and ferlity, which is a parallel with Nabu Malikata, the Goddess of Flowers, who is know mostly know because of her mystical dancing skills and creation of Djinn and the Purple Padihsaras.
Babel is babe with big L
