    regarding the Ruin Golems, these are 100% Khaenriah tech. the aranara quest is proof of that and there are documentations of their pilots in the first ruin golem(the forest one)

      Yes your kinda right, but as evident in the world quest dirge of bilqis. it is said that the ruin golem found near the desert of hadramaveth is different than the others found in the rainforests. implying that khaenriahn tech was not used in creating the specific ruin golem we found with liloupar.

      The way the machines are described as an unending labourforce, makes it kind of sound like the The Algorithm of Semi-Intransient Matrix of Overseer Network, that creates the smaller machines. But the one we know is clearly linked to Deshret and the forbidden knowledge in its descriptions. Still it would parallel the forbidden abyssal knowledge that Liloupar gave the king very well with the Lord of Flowers giving her forbidden knowledge to Deshret with very different motivations but similar outcomes.

    What saddens me the most is the fact that all the horrors such as rebellion, death even cannibalism started with the death of the Goddess of Flower. With all three, it was one of the best cities to live in ever. Knowledge, power, technology and art. And now? First god is dead. The second sacrificed himself, and the third will be forgotten. The greatest tragedy in Genshin I've ever experienced.

    That there is no good outcome of believing in already dead god, and I now understand how he said that Havria story is a "warning" to him. Because I believe he at least now some bit about Sumeru history and the three rulers...
    Maybe that's the reason why Watatsumi condition is (arguably) better than dessert people, prob because Orobashi make it looks like he's in the wrong (attacking Inazuma island unprovoke). So Watatsumi island don't cling too much hope on him long after his death.

    Other than that, great summary as always. I was unaware that Kisra and Shirin were siblings as I took the adopted part on face value. The brass mask probably was to hide Shiruyeh's deformity like you hypothesised. Otherwise I thought that it was to mask his identity as their son.

      The most pragmatic thing a ruler can do, is offer former slaves a place in his or her armies. Fantasy rulers could always find use for bigger armies.
      A greater ruler would hire them to build great things. But in this case, Primal Constructs already took that role.
      Still, there clearly was a need for laborers who would clean the canals and make the water flow again. And farming is always good work that will, at least, keep them fed.

    And boi what a story it was! Saw both your videos and can't wait for the third part!
    Couple of notes/questions:
    1.We know how boodline was important, so I wonder how being "half-jinn" could impact in one's nature. For instance, maybe Shirin could only do those "deformed jinn childs" due to her mixed blood?
    (I want to know more info about her and how she ended becoming the "Mad Queen").
    2. Other question I have is what happened to Liloupar sisters (the original jinn) after they were helping (?) King Deshret to build his Mausoleum?
    3. And what was the role of the 3 Kings under direct command of King Deshret doing during all this family drama? Shouldn't they have rebelled against the Kingslayer (Shiruyeh's)? So i was wondering, since Rukkadevata was one of the original archons, would that mean that the archon war in sumeru only ended after king deshret's death? cause he rejected the gnosis so the three of them would rule together.

    • @Aozora210
      @Aozora210 Год назад +3

      I think that might not be the case. It could've ended as soon as Deshret rejected the gnosis and Celestia chose Rukkhadevata instead (or he nominated her, who knows).
      So far it seems like multiple gods can exists at the same time even if one of them is archon as long as they're not trying to pry gnosis over each other? Much like Marchosius and Andrius are still around while Morax and Barbatos become the archon (I mean Andrius "died" so Barbatos can become archon but at the same time he's still alive and kicking in Wolvendom??) because they accepted that Morax and Barbatos are the better choice of archon instead of themselves and did not try to fight over the gnosis. I think the archon war will only happen when the gods are fighting for the gnosis for themselves instead of sharing it.
      I think when Deshret rejected the gnosis, it's kinda implied that the gnosis immediately went to Rukkha because Nabu was cast off by Celestia so they probably won't welcome her back as an archon, and Rukkha supposedly left the desert around Nabu's death (though Liloupar said that Nabu and Rukkha had some kind of disagreement so she might have left earlier) and went to one corner of Sumeru to build her rainforest, which might seem impossible without the power of Dendro Gnosis considering at that time all Sumeru was already a very desolate desert from the Divine Nail sent way way earlier, and the Aranaras said that in the beginning the forest had too much sand until it was able to become the land that we know today, so by then she probably had received the Dendro Gnosis and used it to build the rainforest.

      @usalisa3656 Год назад +1

      @@Aozora210 The lore is kinda weird on that part, because Ei had to sacrifice herself so that Makoto could be the Archon. Since Andrius also had to do so for Barbatos to be the Archon, I think it implies that they couldn't co-exist (at least for the "crowning" period)? That's why I don't really understand how it happened in Sumeru. Because somehow Celestia would have been okay with 3 gods reigning while they were not for other nations.
      As for the Gnosis, I think that it's possible Rukkha earned it after Deshret's death? GoF died before him, so maybe the gnosis was given to Rukk after _his_ passing. Because the three of them weren't Archons when they were all alive. When her two friends died, Rukkha naturally became the Archon of Sumeru, or at least that's how I see it. We may have new info about it in the future patches though.

    • @Aozora210
      @Aozora210 Год назад +1

      @@usalisa3656 Understandable @ the weird lore because I have been wondering what is up with Andrius and Beelzebul/Ei that they had to sacrifice themselves so Barbatos and Baal/Makoto can become archon 🤨
      However there are samples like the God-kings of Sumeru and also Marchosius, Haagentus, and Morax who all can vibe together despite archon war going on? I mean Guizhong/Haagentus is definitely a casualty of archon war, but it doesn't seem as if Morax is about to kill her himself nor Marchosius for him to become the Archon anyway (he said that gods in Liyue form alliances during archon war, which includes his group of gods and adepti), so it implied that like the god-kings of Sumeru, the surviving gods of Liyue can coexists despite one of them being an archon.
      The trend of potential archon sacrificing themselves so another god can become the archon so far follows the stronger, more combative god (Andrius and Beelzebul) sacrificing themselves for a kinder and more human-caring gods (Barbatos and Baal). While that might seem like the case with Deshret and Rukkha, it hasn't been mentioned anywhere that Deshret died so Rukkha can become an archon. It's always Deshret died so he can erase the forbidden knowledge. Most Eremites believed that Rukkha betrayed Deshret so she can become the "God of Wisdom", but then the Archon Quest has proved them wrong.
      Then again, the timeline is still very fuzzy. Some said Deshret died "over a thousand years ago", which would make his death way past the end of Archon War and would be odd if Rukkha hadn't been archon by then, but also some said that he had been dead for thousands of years, which ranges between two to three thousands years, which means his death could really mean that Rukkha became the "victor" of Archon War.
      All these blabbering and in the end I do agree with the hope that Hoyo would clear them more in coming updates....

    Its kind of interesting but I do wonder why we arent finding traces of Venessas tribe as they drifted around...its much more recent history so there should be traces. I would imagine that they would have drifted into other regions like Sumeru, since they ended up captured as slaves and it didnt seem like it was done by their own in their own land. None of the countries seem to have been interested in invading other nations either at that point, everyone seemed too busy dealing with their own crap...and the nation that currently seem closest to Natlan seem to be the sumerian desert, but the Deshret people were still drifting around themselves and trying to survive, so I dont think they had possibility of invading Natlan beyond just smaller raids... Im very curious to the state of Natlan and what happened with Murata...
    Sorry for going on about this when it seem unrelated...I just thought it peculiar that we didnt see more recent history, there isnt even recent graffiti which has been common throughout our own history.

    Might it be possible that the fact that Kisra is Liloupar's son and also raised by Ghognus and later adopted by Ormazd aren't mutually exclusive to each other? She could have mothered him and left him in Ghognus' care as part of her ploy against Ormazd, since Kisra is younger than Shirin and we know that Liloupar's vengeance started by the time when Shirin was born. After all, we didn't have direct confirmation that they were siblings until Liloupar said it herself, and she is the true schemer of everything, so of course she would've known the truth better, but everyone else who wrote the story about Gurabad only had the truth about Kisra's origin as they know it (after all it's said the Tales of Shiruyeh and Shirin are Eremite's version of the history). It is like Zhongli said during the Lantern Rite, "The same truth will sound different coming from different people. As more bear witness to a story, feelings and interpretations expand in variety too", so instead of a correction or completely different truth, I'd say it's just a matter of different perspective, and maybe those truth will compliment each other instead of contrasting each other.
    That aside (and probably the notes about Ruin Golems mentioned by others already), this is such a great video. I always love how you decided to use made-up maps for showcasing areas and location. it felt much like a history documentary and thus very enjoyable to watch. Also thank you very much for sticking to many in-game characters and footages instead of resorting to AI art like some content creators do. I truly appreciate that.

      @@HaguromoGitsune The most we know so far for sure is that the chaos cores contain a dark power which seems to have negative effects on the forest in Sumeru. Otherwise before these chaos cores, Khaenri'ah also utilized energy blocks containing pure leyline energy. Strictly visually I would speculate that aside from the jinn fragments, the Celestial nail could be a potential power source due to the light blue glow which all mechanisms in the desert have.
