Since I use Cakewalk, I have the TH-3(I don't know if it's still free) and comparing it with TH-U Essentials, I think the most noticeable difference is the amount of items between the two. Hi my friend. I tested it here and the page worked normally. Did you test it on another browser, computer or at different times? Since there are 1000 licenses per day, it could be that you had reached the daily license limit in your attempts, but I really don't know what it could be.
Yeah, I noticed that the input and output were clipping way too much. It is tough to dial it in on the fly. I record DI and reamp afterwards to dial in the correct level.
@ It's a little trickier with single coil based guitars like Strats. They are very spiky with the transients. That's why I record the DI at a conservative level, so I'm not worrying about clipping whilst I'm trying to track stuff. Then I can sort out the final level during the editing process and make sure it's optimal, but not clipping.
