Well done from 🇬🇧, I was 17 doing my first solo and now many thousands of hours later flying cargo and passengers the time really does fly by, you flew well 👍🏽
I vividly remember this flight for me and it is something I will never forget. You do for the first time what man was never intended to do but had found a way to accomplish, and you do it by yourself. You take flight. It’s a very bizarre feeling looking to your right and a empty seat with unlatched seatbelt is there. That was actually seven years ago today for me. 388 hours later and I learn something new every trip.
Excellent job! And Renton is such a cool airport. I remember my first solo, in a sailplane, like it was yesterday, even though it was eons ago (1978) at the age of 15. I also remember that moment when you look at the other seat and realize that for the first time there’s no instructor there and you are truly on your own. Pretty quickly though, your nervousness turns to excitement. I chuckled when I saw Natalie go through that same progression of emotions, like we all do on that day. Great job Natalie, congratulations!
Congratulations Natalie - wonderful first solo. Like so many others here, this brought back memories of my first solo at Ford Island in Pearl Harbor back in '76 and tears of excitement for you. You'll remember this flight for the rest of your life. Stay safe Natalie and happy flying.
Natalie, watching took me back three years almost to the day when I soloed---the fear, the anticipation, and the broad smile and giggle when you greased that landing. One big difference: our ages. I was 74. Pleasure to watch!
What an absolutely delightful video. Her excitement and slight apprehension is evident, and yet she's clearly very much in charge of herself and her aircraft. Congratulations and happy belated birthday!

This video moved and made me cry, it's so beautiful to imagine it was her first solo flight. Congratulations !!!
Thanks for watching!
I did my first solo four years ago in a 162 Skycatcher. Love that airplane. Great to see another solo in one. Way to go Natalie!
Well done from 🇬🇧, I was 17 doing my first solo and now many thousands of hours later flying cargo and passengers the time really does fly by, you flew well 👍🏽
Time "flies by" lol good one
What a gorgeous day for a first solo! Visibility as far as the eye can see. Congrats!
Amazing video. Congratulations on your solo, it's the most memorable moment in every pilot career. Cheers from Italy
Wow long time ago bro
誕生日に、初めてのソロフライトなんて❗️❗️❗️ なんて素敵なプレゼントであり良い思いで何だろう❗️❗️❗️羨ましいな❗️❗️❗️
Natalie, watching took me back three years almost to the day when I soloed---the fear, the anticipation, and the broad smile and giggle when you greased that landing. One big difference: our ages. I was 74. Pleasure to watch!
I absolutely loved this. I couldn’t get enough of the honest excitement. This made me smile and cry.
What an absolutely delightful video. Her excitement and slight apprehension is evident, and yet she's clearly very much in charge of herself and her aircraft. Congratulations and happy belated birthday!
I was crying, literally, for joy for this young lady! May she enjoy many hours flying the skys!
Congrats. Savor the moment. It will always bring that smile and feeling back when you tell family and friends about your solo.
That reaction to her extremely smooth landing... "shut up". LOL What an awesome young lady. Good job.
In america she still has to wait 5 years to drink beer. But she is allowed to fly a plane.😂😂😂
In England 🏴 you can be 14 to fly a glider or a balloon with supervision, 16 to fly a glider or a balloon and 17 to fly a aeroplane or helicopter. The drinking law is 18. Alcohol is not good for you and there is no purpose.
What? you need to be 21 to drink beer in the USA?
In America can you drink in your own house or outdoor public places or in a pub or restaurant with a meal?
But drinking beer is way not as important as flying planes! So, totally reasonable approach.
Well they’re going to let a 16 year old fly an aircraft if he or she has done training over an 18 year old or a 21 year old fly an aircraft without training and just decided they want to fly one.
I love the fact that she seems surprised by her own incredible ability!
You did it young lady, be very very proud!
Yes, incredible ability to have parents that can afford flying lessons. Truly talented to control the circumstances of her birth before she was even born. Unprecedented in human history.

I don't even think YOU know what you're talking about?!
@@richardarmed4847 Oh wow, you have such an ability to form such an incredible argument, such logic and reasoning that can't be argued with. Well done you. Absolute incredible achievement, you should so so proud of yourself. You deserve multiple awards for intelligence, wit, and astonishing verbal prowess. Again, well done.
@@fredjimbob2962 bro shut up. We're talking about her flying abilities. No matter who paid for her training (personally for mine it means working my own ass off) it's up to her to learn everything and do it. Nobody likes people who do what you are, and you aren't "cool" for trying to be right on the internet while ruining someone's day, especially on something so special as a first solo.
Everything perfect young aviator. Your smile tells a lot about your passion of flying. There is only one thing, never say ready for takeoff, it’s ready for departure. This has been changed after the Tenerife disaster. Wish you a wonderful flying life!
Eric
Like half the pilots in ORD and EWR get that wrong.
@@sl66ggehrubt absolutely.
More about this please
Sweet 16 on runway........16
A book in every home or Billy Idol referance? 😲
Waw
how she can do that?
i dont understand...so are kids aware or unaware after all ??? or how could an unaware person do such stuff not every so called adult could do ??????
Yavşama la
Brought back so many wonderful feelings of learning to fly, almost 30 years ago. Lovely to watch the 1st solo effect on real people. Bravo!
Natalie, your solo two years ago, if I'm reading it correctly, put a huge smile on my face so much that it hurts !! I remember my solo at Oakland airport back in 1989. It's a wonderful feeling. What I like about your solo is how enthusiastic you are. Its great to see young women doing this. Today, I fly the E175 at SkyWest Airlines and love it. What I'm getting at is that we occasionally have flight attendants that make the jump to pilot too> Great job !! Hope you're out there flying your dreams. GEEEEZZZZZ !!! My face still hurts smiling for you!!
I have enjoyed watching this as though I was the one soloing..my day will come..have a blessed aviators journey young miss.
She is full of talent and confidence.
Well done child ❤️
Solo'ed years ago... brought tears to my eye to see this... Her enthusiasm is infectious!!
My first solo, back in the 70s was almost a non-event. No video, not even photos and nobody came to congratulate me. At the time it didn't seem to matter much, but now I wish I had even a photo remind me of that day. What I do remember clearly was the flight test with the examiner, but again, no photos, and I forgot to ask him to sign my flight notepad!
Thanks for sharing!
GO NATALIE GO NATALIE THATS MY BEST FRIENDDDD
Very cool!
You are a true friend for supporting her👏☺
Go Kate!
You shoukd fly with her 😉
She is realey cute
Love it. My daughter is 10 years old, and her grandfather is a Marine fighter pilot and commercial airline captain. He said he's paying for her flight school if she's not a bum like her Dad! Lol. I hope she chooses this amazing career path. Congrats, Natalie!
A nice post about your father...but, why spoil it with a critical comment about your daughters father? What's the point?
@@realdiamondshow Because he has the right to be self-deprecating, and it's funny...
@@realdiamondshow Because that's me. Lol. It was a self deprecating remark.
@@nitemareman1 Ah...I didn't realise that. Lol!
It's a pure joy! I remember my first solo - it was one of two happiest days in my life so far! Greetings from Poland!
Bless her. Love the joy she has flying. Thank you for sharing.
exactly
Young folks with goals and motivation, good to see, congratulations!
Way to go Natalie..All of us fellow pilots are proud of you...BTW nice landing :)
I feel so happy for her❤️
Long way to go girl!🌟
Awesome, fantastic....beautiful girl....God bless you....still ahead...forever..
You're so lucky buddy!!💗😍
I'll also bring my this day as a aspiring PILOT!!🔥🤌🏻
Great job! Congratulations! Thanks for taking us along, it was fun to watch. I have no recollection of my first solo (nearly 40 years ago), so I enjoyed sharing the experience with you. (Sort of)
Nailed the landing!
And that delighted smile says it all 😁
Someone told me this is the best moment of the entire pilot's career.
Evidently it’s like the first hit of a drug but each time gets better and better
Whole video is worth watching just to see the smile on her face when she landed on her own. Beautiful moment, thanks for sharing. Best of luck to her.
Glad you enjoyed it
I'm not crying, you're crying. Congratulations. You go girl. We heard that shoutout to your Grandmother. The sky is your highway now. Lead the way.
this is the way
Love watching this young lady enjoy her first solo! I laughed with her, and even had happy tears when she made her first solo landing..."Shut Up!!!" Welcome to the fellowship of pilots Miss Natalie!
So AWESOME! Love to see kids learn something positive these days!!!!
I'd fell safe flying with her any day.
feel. Sorry. LOL!
Wow, I got a tear in my eye when this 16-year young woman taxied to the Runway. it is always such a high risk to fly, especially when you are alone.
Well done young woman, you can challenge anything and possess nearly steel nerves. 🛩
This is the FBO I did my training at, in a Skycatcher as well. I was 16 when I did my first solo (in N60524), but it certainly wasn't on my birthday!
Congratulations!
Natalie: *sounds super cool and professional over the radio*
Natalie: *once radio is off* OH mY Godd...
I feel that a lot xD
Congrats Natalie!!
Me at 16 was flying the paper airplane...beside Natalie's skill, I admire her courage, because things like this you don't only prepared to fly but to die as well... congrats Natalie... from the Philippines...
This is a gutsy young lady, very brave, she´ll make a fine pilot!
Those adorkable happy giggles when stable and trimmed-out just made my day. :D What a privilege to be able to fly that young. At that age I was just pondering my first moped.. :P That landing tho.. Sooooo smooth!!
Thank you!
Great job✈️
Congrats on your solo! Awesome job! I solo'd in 1991 at 20 years old and never forgotten how exciting it was. Enjoy your flying and be safe.
I loved seeing Natalie's serious concentration, hand-eye coordination, but then her smiles and proud voice gestures at each critical accomplishment!
She seems very smart and super sweet and she is obviously aware of every task. She would be a joy to fly with, either right or left seat. Congratulations, Natalie -- well done, old girl!!
Well done! You must have qualified by now, I'm wondering if you have moved on to bigger aircraft!
What an amazing and inspiring young lady. Congratulations on your solo. Kudos to your parents and instructor.
Congratulations Natalie well done loved that emotion when wheels touched down awesome effort for 16 years old 😊😊😊
Congratulations. Something to be so proud of and especially at such a young age. Well done.
This is what I should have been doing when I was 16. Unfortunately had parents who were ambivalent and wanted me 'play it safe.' Natalie, do what YOU want to do and be yourself.
I love how she's all serious voice when she's talking to the tower, when she's off Mike she's all squee.
I remember mine..31 years ago, like it was yesterday..Congrats Natalie and happy flying..
Youre first Solo flight in Microsoft Sim ?
Wow !just wow !as a woman I’m so proud As a mom I sent it to my daughters wow !good for her and her parents! Well done while some kids are wasting their youth away this gives me hope
Congratulations ! You did it ! And you did it very well ! I had my first solo in... 1991, aged 21 ! On C-150, en Belgium. It is always so emotional to see a first solo flight ! Good luck with the sky ! Enjoy !😉😊
What on Earth is this ?
When I was 16, I didn't even know how to dress myself properly.
I was unwilling to take a car Driver's Education course.
I took that course the following year. Even then, it was scary.
Congratulations, Natalie !
Man, I'm so happy for this new pilot already within the first 5 seconds of the video.
Очень рад за нее))) молодец! Молодцы! Приятно видеть счастливого человека в начале жизненного пути)))) удачи тебе)))
Natalie you landed that like a butterfly with sore feet! Well done.
May your sky be blue and your wind calm.
Woooow. Good job young lady. My 7 year old is a daughter has a dream of flying a plane one day. I keep encouraging her that she will one day❤️❤️❤️✈️✈️✈️
Awesome! I love how she giggles he's so excited! I don't even know her and I'm proud of her!
Love the Joy you felt on your 16th... I felt every moment of what you lived on my 16th... WELCOME to a VERY select club.. You brought tears to my eyes in memory.. What a gorgeous human being..
Thank you so much!!
Amazing, what a proud moment for a young lady with nerves of steel, everyone who sees this is so proud of you
Exactly. She is brave
