Thank you very much I enjoyed your video I am an older guy I'm a Potter I didn't start throwing until I was 55 years old and I'm 58 now. I threw in high school and everybody said that I was a natural at it I don't remember that I was that good but it came back to me really fast it took me about 2 hours to remember how to center and I was Off to the races. It's the love of my life I'm badly disabled so it's the only thing I really can do anymore. You have very beautiful hands they're made for pottery you are very good. Right now I'm concentrated on making lots of teapots I'm going to sell them I think although I never want to sell anything that I make because I enjoy looking at them so much

Thank you for the kind note. I’ve been doing pottery for the past 4 years only and I fell in love with it as well 😃! I’m sure you’ll make a lot of sales 😃. Wish you the best and enjoy the making!!!

Do your cups get hot? The tea cups I throw get too hot if you pour hot water in them and you can't hold them... I'm wondering if there's a solution, but I can't seem to find anything.

Hi Joshua, yes mine gets hot too but no more than the ones that you buy from the big homeware stores. If yours are hotter than the store ones, maybe try doing them slightly thicker and see how that goes. Else you could try a double walled cup, and see (never tried that one myself but would be curious to find out too 😃)!!!

A good idea might be to get your hand on a good hand made tea cup and feel the thickness. I had not been taking into account the shrinking for my pieces.

Beautiful work, I love the shape. How much clay did you use for this size?
