DirectX is a crucial component of Windows 10, required by many multimedia applications. However, sometimes there might be DirectX errors on Windows 10, and today we’re going to show you how to fix them.
Some applications require older versions of DirectX in order to run properly, and you have to install it manually. To do that, you can download the installer from here.
After you’ve downloaded the file, install it and restart your computer. After your computer restarts, most DirectX errors should be fixed.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 operating systems. Works for all major computer manufactures (Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba, Lenovo, Samsung).

If you want to fix the problem ( directx not available or disabled) then hear me out . Just download driver booster latest version and then when you open it it will show you the latest intel or vga adapter updates. Download it and restart your computer and the problem

I’m not sure if you can help me with this, but did and installed everything shown in the video because I thought I was having an issue with it. I’m trying to install direct x 9 for a video capture device, and I’m getting an error message “ This version of DirectX is not compatible with the version of Windows currently installed.” Which is directX 12.

Thank you for your help. 🙂 Another issue that may cause this is Windows Defender, because for me, I tried multiple times but the setup did not respond, but when I turned off Windows Defender, it began installing on the first try.

hi there i have this problem too! but the problem im running into is that its allready installed, everytime i try to play a steam game it comes up with the error, "the following components are required to run this program directX runtime" yet i have it installed, when i follow along with this video i try to install directX and it says that i have a newer version of it and there is no need to download.. i don't know what to do lol please help!

I found out this error also happens if you have 64 bit dll files in your syswow64 or you if you have 32 bit dll file in your system32 folder. Then I deleted all the those files and installed it successfully..
