Video was better than what Apple or Verizon provided - upgraded from an 8 to a 12 mini - additionally there were great suggestions for iCloud backup as well - the video was a 10/10
@@sujitchoudhari4801 great the battery on my 7 plus was toast I could only use it for 2-3 hours with the 12 pro max I can go the whole day and have half the battery left not to mention the camera and overall performance of the phone is just much better

Upgrading from my 8 plus to the 12 pro. Would’ve waited another year if only my charging port wasn’t dead and my battery was still good. Hoping the 12 pro will last me 4 years minimum without any major problems.
I watched this BEFORE i started the process and it was very helpful, but he speaks fast and i needed to stop and rewind a few times when following where he was sending me on my phone. Also-- Looking at his 12 tips for new Iphone.. GREAT tips to look at. THANKS
just a FYI for ppl like me who use a Beta Profile and have iOS 14.4 Betas or whatever (any beta actually, in case someone reads this in the future): if you are restoring a backup from a phone that is running a beta iOS firmaware, u need to update to that Beta iOS firmware on the new device first. so, i recommend the simplest way (also the most old fashioned) is to save a hard copy backup to ur computer, then set up the new one asa new device, then install ur beta profile on it and update. when done, go and restore the backup to it. there u go. its most likely not a fast process but it works.

Upgraded from 7 plus to 12 Pro Max 😭🤬🤯 🥳 After 2 days of videos, reading, calling apple, carriers and 30+ attempts. Finally!! In a video I watched on transferring data thru computer ( mines dead ) watched anyway. It mentioned both phones had to have same software update. What did I have to lose?! My 7 was updated but the 12 wasn’t. So I did new phone setup, updated software, then general- reset-erase all content and settings. Then followed your video and oh happy day 3. Hope this helps some one. Thanks for video
Hey Brandon, one thing to be aware of is that there’s currently an issue using this method if you have photos saved to iCloud. It will transfer all photos to the iPhone 12, even if optimize iPhone storage is enabled. This caused the storage on my iPhone 12 128GB to fill up. A work around is to backup the iPhone from a restore instead. This prevents this issue from happening.

All sim card does is give you ability to call and stuff like that so yes put in old sim card from old iPhone to save contacts and stuff like that

It does everything, literal copy of your phone, so the new phone will be logged iNto all apps

If you use iCloud Keychain you’ll have all your passwords saved during the transfer so it’ll auto fill when you log in to your apps again.
