    Yes pleeeease show curling with a flat iron videos. I have a stand, head and a 360 body wave (that looks straight) with body wave bundles that I'm itching to get together ( I sewed it all in) but I'm scared because they cost a pretty penny lol.
    I seen several of your children's hair videos, a wifey wig video (Excellent job with the detangle wash n set) and now this 1.
    I have a whole storage crate of curly, wavy and straight wigs that are now (as you've said) orphans lol.
    I haven't seen anyone else on youtube that I would even ask. Your work is Awesome.

    I love the Bio Ionic 10x. I use it on all hair types. I don’t care for the flat irons that come in the kits for Cosmetology school. I went to Paul Mitchell. The flat iron that I got with my kit is fairly new because I already had their titanium one. The starter flat irons actually work because I helped some students when they had clients and that’s all they had. I never thought about it but I might do a giveaway.

  • @award7509

    Does this also work on natural kinky hair or do you use the higher temp?

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  7 лет назад

      +A Ward it depends on the fabric of hair. In some instances, kinky hair is more fine and actually requires less heat. It varies based on the thickness of the individual strands more than it does on the coil pattern of the hair.

      +Kendall Norman I'm actually not a huge fan of that line for various reasons, but I will tell you this:
      The best way to fight humidity is with your moisture balance. Using a richly moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, following up with a moisturizing leave in, and then glazed with a small amount of a smoothing serum usually does the trick quite nicely! 👍🏽❤️

    Is a titanium flat iron better then a ceramic one?

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  6 лет назад +4

      For coarse/resistant hair, yes. For finer hair, ceramic is better. I prefer a Tourmaline iron for most people because it’s a happy middle ground😊

    Hi Lynnwood! love your videos! I am a mom who has not taken any type of classes on hair care/hair styling. I have 2 daughters who are biracial 10 and 4. My 4 year old is still in pony/pig tails and bows or i let it stay out and curly with a headband! My 10 year old however has natural, long (mid back length hair ) hair and it is thick with a tight curl and likes it that way but has discovered she likes it straightened! She has had it flat ironed twice at a salon. She loves it but it can become pricey. I have tried to do it myself but noticed 1.-it didn't get as straight as at the salon and 2-it did it stay for as long. I dont want to damage her hair. Do you have any tips or suggestions on what blow dryer and flat iron to get for home use as well as what products to use to keep her hair healthy, shiny and straight for at least 2 weeks so I don't have to repeat the process and potentially damage her hair?

    Great video, you made that haircut work lol, TFS! Can you please tell me what flat iron temperature you'd recommend for kinky hair? I have kinky "type 4" hair with *a lot* of strands, but the strands are fine. I've been using 410, but I'm afraid that'll damage it because of how fine my strands are. Is that a good temp, or should I lower/raise it?

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  7 лет назад +3

      +Liyah Richmond thank you! If the strands are fine, I would stay between 360 and 380, depending on how fine it is. Excellent question!

      I just need to figure out what to do with my natural, yet transitioning hair.

    • @GetGlamFam
      @GetGlamFam  7 лет назад +1

      +Nisai Gibbs keep it moisturized, to tons of twisted styles, natural updos, braids, or protective styling are typically the way to go. Try not to use too much heat if you are trying not to mess up your curl pattern.

    • @nisaigibbs5533
      @nisaigibbs5533 7 лет назад +1
