This might be the place I'll go for my first trip to Japan and considering Hokkaido wasn't far away means Aomori, holds great advantage over other area in Tohoku. I can travel to two different main island without spend too much! I got introduced to Aomori by some Japanese horror tv show talked about the scariest horror stories around Japan and Aomori ranked high, what a weird way to introduced to a place in Japan that I never heard of back then as kid! I know Tokyo,Osaka,Saitama but Aomori I got interested to go there since 2003!
The entire Aomori region is incredibly fascinating and beautiful! There are mountains, caves, forests, rivers, lakes, temples, attractions, quaint towns, the city, shopping, hiking, wild horses, surfing, fishing, and so on and so on. Speaking of ghosts and paranormal, there is Osore-Zan. The temple on the mountain stands guard against what is believed by the Japanese to be a Gate of Hell. I recommend going to Osore if you travel around the Aomori prefecture.
Do they have a ski resort in Aomori area? Kinda shame if they don't have one,I heard western Aomori received one of heaviest snowfall in all of japan and the world. I wanna try some winter wonderland's ski action since I'm from tropical area.
Oh, yes! There must be over a dozen in the Aomori prefecture. My favorite is Hakkoda. Closer to Aomori city is Nakoa resort. The best snowboarding I've experienced was in the Aomori prefecture of Japan.
I think this will be it,My first trip to Japan will be spend on Aomori,Hokkaido area. I just found out that my dad had been to Hiroshima before around 20 years ago and my plan was to go there first but I think that will have to wait for my next trip. Aomori it is!
I think you'll enjoy your visit! Japan has amazing and very thrilling supernatural folklore. Once you've been introduced to it, their concepts seem to be everywhere. Thanks for checking out the video and I hope you have a great experience out there. :D
Good afternoon! I'm glad you're taking a trip, and I hope that my video hasn't summarized the area through my pictures. The video title should really by, "Aomori City, Japan", because it exclusively shows what could be considered the downtown area of Aomori City. There's quite a bit to do just in this city. There's a fun aquarium, several temples and museums, many shops, great restaurants, and nightlife entertainment. The ocean scenery is beautiful and the parks are relaxing. When there's a festival, especially the Nebuta festival, the whole city is thriving with life and bustling with its unique culture. The Aomori prefecture offers much much much more. I was able to explore caves, hike trails with gorgeous rivers and waterfalls, drive through amazing winding mountains with some of the most unique bridges and tunnels I've been through, snowboard (everywhere!), food food food... There's really so much to do. I recommend Cape Shiriazaki to see the wild horses that stand through the raging winter (called the Kadachime), one of Japan's "Gates of Hell" at Mt. Osore (there's a nice observatory on the same mountain as well), Ryusendo Caves (I think that's how it's spelled -- can't remember, but there's a lake inside of the caves and nice lighting), the Hirosaki Castle and Cherry Blossom Festival there, the Morioka Castle (be sure to eat Jajamen there), Sendai for a big city with city things, and everything you can find in between. I had such an amazing time there, I really miss it lol. Hope you have a good trip too!
Hello guys, To you know any district in Aomori have a population of around 60 thousand. And hospital beds of 300 only. Need to locate a doctor (Yoko) who station there
