10.37 from a pole vaulter shows how crazy world class athletes are.
I reckon he's going to break the 100m world record by 1cm
😂😂😂💯
💀🤦 This should have more likes 😂😂
Benchmark is 9.58 cms so long way to go :-)
🤣🤣🤣
1cm is a lot over 100 meters.
He’s a pole vaulter and he runs 10:37 in 100 meters. That’s crazy fast! Actually unbelievable
If he trained, I think he could hit 10.1-2. And he if could hit those speeds, he could do 6.5. No one pushing him to that level sadly.
Sadly? He's shattered the WR many times. I believe he has the top 20 greatest jumps himself. What more do you expect? @@HunterThinker
he looks like a super villain in every thumbnail i see him in
For a Swede, he looks like a super hero
I only see, Lisan al Gaib ..
@@ponli7532 ok true
@ponli7532 so a super villain 👀
Lol Mondo initially wanted to race Shelly after Shelly challenged him ..that didn’t happen now he is is racing Karsten i guess he has been forever ready 😂😂😂
@@tondetanditonny802 it was easier to set this up since they’re both sponsored by puma
@@youdontknowme4903 + RedBull
Mondo should run with a pole in his hands and Karsten has to jump hurdles.
Underrated comment! LOL
This is fascinating--two gold medalists (and world record holders) in very different events doing a match race in yet another different event. Do they go under 10.5?
I think there’s a good chance. Mondo ran a 10.5 with slight wind in high school. He’s obviously gotten a much faster top speed, because that’s essential for vaulting. It’s possible
They'll both be under 10.5 I think Mondo will win at 10.38. Karsten will run low 10.4s. If the weather is good and there's no illegal adverse or favorable wind in either direction, i think that's about the range.
Did u even listen to the clip `?
@@Dave-lr2wo when did you edit this comment? Pretty accurate
@@mfrese I did not edit it at all. I did not edit the times, if that's what you're asking. Been in the sport for decades, coached, and competed at a high level. Know it inside and out.
Great point by him about the tactics behind pole vaulting!
He looks like the son of Gru
Athletic Gru!
new world lead coming soon from mondo
im joking dont get butthurt
I agree with Mondo the high jump and pole vault you gota set a target height first not a jump then measure the height it wont be interesting
As long as you stay injury free
Funny you say this. Karsten had to pull out of the 400 hurdles in Zurich the day after because he had tightness in his hamstrings probably from running the 100m against Mondo the day before...oops.
Also the skill of clearing a bar is something I value at least
they both clear a bar in their events :P
Karsten's advantage is that he's more used to starting pistols in his event. He'll gain "a lot" of time already from the start.
HAHA HAHAHA

Cool Guy Mondo!
he gna use a 100m pole to vault to the finish line
The final leg again
He works for CITIUS
Grant Holloway should be in this race
Would be totally unfair lol. The man has a 6.5 60 pb
He would easily win
Honestly tho
I would pay money to see that🎉
Grants the only one between these two who actually does sprints whether it be 4x100m, 4x400m , 400m, 60m etc.
He'd fold them
Grant would smoke them both.
Is he from Ice Age?
why
@@DocWalker202 search for Sid from Ice Age.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
when are they gonna run that? there isnt schedule for 100m matchup.

His English isn't too bad for a Swede
@@michaelggriffiths he's half american
Grew up in America
He's from Louisiana. That accent is more coonass than Swedish.
He's american, he's not even fluent in sweedish although he's learning
I was expecting some Italian type accent
Born and raised in the USA.
He's from New Orleans. No Italian accents down there 😂
I predict Mondo wins with 10.15.
I think he wins but it'll be closer to 10.3
Slow down there buckeroo
@@veganpotterthevegan 10.36 not bad at all, considering he hasn't ran 100m for a while
@@Emerald449 nope, definitely solid. I just didn't see anything lower than a 10.25 without an illegal tailwind
He's fast...but never that fast. He ran a 10.57 in high school so one would have expected him to run a little faster than that now....and he did...good fun race with both athletes having identical top speeds over the 100m..it was just the start that separated them.
I prefer a crossbar for the pole vault and high jump. Changing it ruins the event in my view.
Both of them should race the current fastest decathletes in the world. (The decathletes will win.)
I'm not sure the decathletes will win. Decathletes are more on the power side & other than the 1500m the other events are power, however a lot of Decathletes spend a lot of time focusing on technique. Warholm as a 400mH, likely has a pretty heavy focus on sprinting as 400m is a sprint, so I'd guess he sprints more than a Decathlete does in terms of percentage of training. When he's doing 400mH he's still sprinting to the hurdle where-as a Decathlete has time spent practicing throws, & High Jump for example.
@@richardgallimore5976 Nope, that's all pretty much wrong. Karstens listed PB in the 100m is 10.52 -- almost .4 SLOWER than the fastest decathlon 100 time.
1. The decathlon scoring coefficient scoring gives slight priority to running, then jumping, then throwing. The top athletes' strengths reflect this.
2. The fastest ever 100m run by a decathlete in a decathlon is 10.12 (Warner). Eaton ran a 10.2, Thompson a 10.26, Huffins ran a 10.22. Many have run under 10.4. There are many times faster than 10.45, and a fair number under 10.4. Ashton Eaton also ran a 45.00 400m. Bill Toomey ran a 45.68 400m....in 1968.
3. Karsten's open-400 time is only .13 faster than Eaton's, and Karsten didn't have to do a decathlon at the same time!
I don't think you realize how fast elite decathletes are. Why don't you wait to reply after the race is run. If either Mondo or Karsten runs faster than 10.2, please do feel free to tell me how wrong I am.
BONUS: 'm not even sure Karsten could beat the fastest decathletes in the 110 hurdles. Frank Buseman ran a 13.47, Hämäläinen ran a 13.57. Dvorank rank a 13.61 and there are lots of times under 13.9.
You know Warholm was a Decathlete before he focused on the 400mh
Mondo’s time would have beaten all but two of the Decathletes at the Paris Olympics. The Decathlon World Best is 10.12 but 10.37 is a superb 100 meter time for the decathlon.
There are very, very few Decathletes that consistently run 10.3s or better. Damian Warner does. Not many others. A lot of really good Decathletes run mid/upper 10s.
I thought this man was a Swede why does he sound American?
@@Ace-mw9pm He is American, swedish-american. Chose to compete for Sweden, I imagine he has his own reasons for that
