  • The 10th Pacific Islands Leaders Meeting (Palm 10) began today in Tokyo, Japan.
    Senior Government ministers are here accompanying Prime Minister Hon. James Marape at this meeting.
    Japan's committment to support development in Pacific Island nations, in the Climate change and fisheries sector areas, are top of the agenda at this meeting, amongst others.
    Bilaterals will be held over the the next two(2) days).
    Palm 10 is an initiative of the Japanese Government, to address its support programs for the Pacific, and importantly have the important conversations with the leaders. Initial meetings were held in 1997.
    Looking forward to the next couple of days, and the conversations that will be held.
