Apologies for not reading the manual before. I hear you. :-) I've read it today and it is actually called "Quick Start Guide" and tbh did not helped me much. Definitely not a real manual. Because it is an unboxing video in the first place and this is the first contact to a hardware drum machine of this type, I could not really prepare myself beforehand. But I guess it gives still a good novices impression!
The sampling feature is probably what is interesting me the most, cause you can change the sound of your one shot or loop sample in a drastic way, i have a lot of Reason studio one shot and recycle loop that i can use in this thing and also my own acoustic drum and some jazz or disco LP full of interesting drum to use, the Linndrum sample is just a bonus .
I sure the og sounds way better- the converters are heavy duty in them- not even high end Mocs have good converters as why I had a black lion swap out in my mpc x- you think behringer is loading a few hundred dollar unit with high end parts lol- I ordered one but I guarantee it doesn’t sound anywhere close as good as the og- I have almost every og drum machine and new ones and ogs knock the sound out the park in comparison to any new units minus the newer rossum sp1200

What’s funny is the US is supposedly everyone’s first market and everyone’s priority as business small or large but I ordered the LM the day it was announced and at Sweetwater they don’t even have an ETA while in the UK and other places people already have tracks with it. Glad you got yours friend. Enjoy it and we will watch until we get ours too

These are not made in Germany so regardless of the fact that Behringer is a German company, these are made in China so just because the headquarter of the company is in Germany, shouldn’t mean that Germany gets them first. I’d assume they would ship to all the countries together if they are shipping already because they are shipped from China. I don’t know I’m just assuming and kind of thinking out loud.
I've _pre_-ordered directly, maybe 5min after the product was published on the Thomann site. Availability status was always "Available in some months". But 2 days ago I received an UPS notification that something is on it's way from Thomann. I guess I was both quick and lucky.

Very limited amount of control without the menu diving, it would seem. Not worth the money, unless you feel particularly pedantic about adjusting your pans in real time.

I actually have the VPROM VSTi (a LinnDrumm clone VST) in my daw. It is a great plugin. But I want a hardware instrument for 2 reasons. Being DAW-less, not distracted by the DAW. This encourages creativity at least for me. And for latency reasons. With my Mackie mixer I am latency free. 0ms. Not possible with an iPad.
It has a 8-12 bit dac per track and analog filter but I agree that there are much better drum machine options than an almost fully digital one with built in samples where you can only tune 3 of the drum samples Weird choice But if you don’t get why someone would want a hardware drum synth/drum machine over a vst, then you’ve never owned a hardware drum machine
Yes but good garbage, probably not as clean as the Roland TR 8 S or the AKAI MPC sampler that can do more, but if there DAC is a true lofi stuff with no emulation it can make the sound crack in a good way, they also put a resonant filter to have fun with your drum sequence the original linndrum don't have this and you can't use as a real sampler, even if you can change the eeprom chip to have new sound.
