Thanks for the night view. I think all NX at premium level and higher should have both the heads up display and panoramic camera std because of the premium price

I think the NX should be priced a bit lower than it's current MSRP the HUDS display is honestly not worth the $1,100 in my opinion

PS2: The single LEDs adjust for height? I thought only tri-beam LEDs did that.

The LEDs do adjust for height but not for corners/cornering.
Ahh yes a lot of requests for the LSS 3.0+, I'm currently out of country but will make the video next month once I come back to the states!

Congrats. I love mine. The digital key is a bit touchy. Overall, it’s a comfy cruiser that can do sporty driving. The fuel economy seems to drop rapidly as the speed increases. I get from 44 mpg to 28 depending on the speed.

I love the fact that the hybrid NX doesn’t have the same power train as the RAV4 Hybrid. A 360 camera is optional.

So I got a text from the GM at my dealership 2 weeks ago who said “I’m sorry to tell you this but your car hasn’t even been built yet.” Yet the person I spoke with mid January said everything looked good for a March arrival. Oh I’m so disappointed. October! I’ve been waiting since October. Sigh 😔
He asked if I’d be interested in another color or a hybrid…nope I’m stuck on the F-Sport and I’ll wait as long as I have to, reluctantly. Until then, I’ll live through yours 😊

Very nice quality video, Gary. I like how you showed a variety of perspectives while filming during this drive. May I ask how you were able to film the drive so well in dark conditions. Whenever I try and film a night drive somewhere, I get super bright flares from oncoming traffic and other light sources which are distracting.

Yes I use a sony ZV1 with ISO at a high setting I believe 4000. It camera also has a night mode as well which helps.

@@GaryHwang it will be black with the Canadian premium package (still has 9" infotainment screen). Not worth spending ~6K to get the larger screen.
Clearly this will be the #1 configuration of all NX models. (Best value for the money, best fuel economy etc).
What do you think it’s lacks or missing? Anything you wish it had?
And the big regular vs. Premium fuel argument. Thoughts?
100% agree that the hybrid is the best bang for your buck.
I wish that they made the back trunk area a little bigger and the illumination lighting nicer/luxury feel.
It can take regular gas! Looked up the owners manual
@@GaryHwang If you have a major warranty claim and you’ve been using regular fuel Lexus won’t honour the warranty terms and conditions. Gives them a huge out. Be careful.
Billy Rock you are wrong. The owners manual says you can use 87 octanes
@@william6765 I’m right. “The 2022 Lexus NX requires premium unleaded gasoline. You should be looking for an octane rating of 91”
Budget $30,000 for an engine replacement in a few years. Happen to a buddy with a BMW X3.
@@billyrock8305 my 2010 RX is supposed to use premium and I rarely put premium gas in it. I have around 138,000 miles on it and it’s still driving great!

@@GaryHwang I think the triple beam set up uses an Led strip above the RDL whereas the single beam has an incandescent flasher in the front. I just wanted to confirm this.

What about fuel economy plz?

Do the ambient lights dim when the vehicle is put into gear (drive or reverse). The older models with the basic white ambient lighting do that. Really hope that isn't the case.
Nope it doesn't dim when you put it into gear but its very very hard to see the light its not that bright
Someone needs to tell Lexus to make another nx with the v6 and the hybrid together
I would say go buy the RX 450h for the hybrid and v6. The RX is a great SUV too I was honestly close to buying that over the NX but I bought the NX because it's a completely new model and better on fuel
@@GaryHwang yeah I love the rx for that reason not everyone can plugin there care because of high electric bill unless that is solar power
@@GaryHwang it’s just a matter of time left before Lexus discontinues the 3.5L V6 hybrid from the RX. You definitely made the right choice by getting the NX. The RX is outdated
Nice car! Do you know if the car required paid subscription (Drive Connect thing that is 1$6-$19/month) to be able to use the normal navigation? Like just the normal map and direction usage. I dont care much for the intelligent assistant. Thanks.
Yes unfortunately it requires paid subscription to use the maps, and lexus app features. It does come with the first 3 years as a free trial
Hi Gary, really enjoying your videos! I just got my 350h for a week now and I notice an electronic whine/buzzing from the digital gauge cluster/instrument panel (like coil whine from a pc). I've heard this before on other vehicles with digital clusters. Just wondering if you could hear it from yours? (A/C off, Engine on, and have a listen behind the steering wheel).

I haven't heard of a weird noise like that from mine yet. Everytime i turn the car on its very quiet since it uses the battery power until I accelerate hard enough to star the engine
have you tried the triple beams headlights? I am planning to get one but I am not sure if it worth the upgrade. thanks
I have not! But I am more than satisfied with the current headlights

Yes they do! For both

Nope they stay on! But you do jave the option to turn it off

what are these colours on the map....all is blue and a bit green.....can you set f.e. highways to red or other colourization ?
Yes on your Google maps settings you cna change some of these features

Yes it is!

Hi there I just picked up my NX 350 and wanted to ask if you remember what came with yours like in the back of your trunk. I had both pairs of mats and the first aid kit but no trunk net or the leather key pouches they say come in the glove compartment. Did you get any of those?
Yes I received all of those incouding trunk net and key pouches. Ask the dealership for those they should give it to you

I've actually been keeping it mostly in ECO mode lol to use the most of the battery before the engine kicks in. Especially with gas prices now lol
my 12 year old LEXUS RX does have frontlights with motors which turn into the corner depending on speed and steering angle/speed. This system still works 100% fine and i really dont wanna miss that at all !! Unfortunately its expensive and since Lexus went cheap and cheap they cancelled it on the RX from 2015 on. In these models you only can get simple ON/OFF cornerlights...cheap like in a Hyundai/KIA. Does the NX have this option ? ruclips.net/video/cEJfZixI-YU/видео.html
