10:00 saw a similar situation last week. 2 police cars blocked the right turn lane, the street on the right was blocked by a police car, ambulance, fire truck and tow truck, all lit up like a christmas tree. Several cars in front of me moved into the right turn lane and stopped behind the police cars, then one pulled out then turned right in front of the police car.
Had one last week, everyone pulled over to let Ambo under lites thru then as they went to move back into lane, an arsehat that was tailgating ambo at full speed nearly sideswiped the lot. He was so close to the the Ambo no one saw him.
I worked at a servo where there was barricades across driveway and fire engines with lights on in entry and exit. A person still wanted to mount the kerb and drive over a garden to get in!
On a positive side I remember coming down a hill to a set of green lights but noticed an ambo sitting on the right side lights and sirens on trying to cross. I came to a complete halt as I was the first actually at the lights and all other drivers behind me also stopped across all 3 lanes, only then did the ambo cross, which tbf was probably the right call
Are drivers getting worse? I've had 3 close calls with drivers recently. They keep pulling out from side streets into the main road I'm on, requiring me to brake hard. Had 2 if those in a week, and another cutting across T junction into opposite lane. And another doing 40km/hr in an 80 zone. Is it covid related?
I had a similar incident with a couple of RAAF jets south of Mackay. They came up on us from behind. I heard them before I saw them, and they scared the hell out of me!

"Cop car block road, but me want go down road, wot I do now?????"
The cops cars were probably in the drivers' blind spot behind the A pillar.

This is the most truly frightening compilation I have seen. Stay off the roads!
Yep. This one was nuts.

Jesus the lady at 7.36 has a death wish. Great reaction times by the driver.
Need to use a ":" for time stamps to work.
no death wish, just a bad assumption. she clocked the car with the indicator in front of dash cam driver, considered that way safe, and was concentrating on picking a gap on her other side. obviously she didn't see the car behind the turning car, and was willing to bet that there wasn't one there.
either way, incredible reaction from the driver.
I was the driver. Appreciate the compliment. Didn’t miss her completely though - winged her with the passenger mirror; you can hear the clunk in the clip. So there was a split second difference between her jogging on, and her being badly maimed / deaded.
@jesserowlingsify - that was my initial thinking too but it was about 5.5 seconds between the Lancer turning off, and her stepping out. If you count that out aloud, it’s actually quite a while. So I wonder whether perhaps she’s from a country where you drive on the left, and she just forgot to look the “other” way.
