Cayos Cochinos, best place to visit in Honduras Central America

We decided to call ourselves Digi-Nomads which stands for digital nomad. We are a multi-culti couple currently living in Mexico. We love to discover new places and capture fun and beautiful moments with the phone or the drone to share it with our friends and families all over the world.
This short walk around is our first spontanous attempt. We stayed in a resort called Palma Real in Honduras for 3 weeks and decided to go on a day trip to Cayos Cochinos.
With the car we drove to the African Tour Center in Armenia ( a small town 30min from la Ceiba) The tour operator welcomed us warmly and seated us in a small boat that fit 12 people. We did a couple of short sight seing stops, such as visiting Cayos Menor and Cayos Grande. Amongst those two stops we did a little bit of swimming and snorkeling off of the second biggest reef in the world called Mesoamerican Reef.
Eventually we docked on the Chachahuate key for lunch which was a lot of fun. We ate delicious fish cooked by the Garifunas and fished by the fishermen from the island.
The Garifunas on the island are very happy and friendly people. There is also a place to sleep there if you feel like taking your island experience a step further. Bookings can be done through Airbnb. I am sure the stars are amazing at night. :)

Honduras Beaches
Chachahuate is one of the 13 Bay islands in Honduras. Many people know of Roatan and Utila, but the Cayos Cochinos Islands are so full of culture and an incredible biosphere. Two islands of Cayos Cochino are even forest islands and are famous for the endemic specie the pink boa.
Through Airbnb you can even book a room or a nice villa on the island. It is the perfevt place to disconnect to connect.
The fishermen can take you out fishing, you can hike through the forest, yoi can snorkel or just enjoy the beach with some beer and amazing Garifuna food.
