Thank you very much for these Mr Ferguson. Your videos are a great aid to my studies! The visuals, pacing, and explanation are all excellent, I would not know what to improve. It might be quite difficult and/or timeconsuming to make these, I hope you know how much it means to the (as of yet unfairly small, but I'm sure it will expand with time) audience that you have.
I'm very much enjoying this series and finding it really useful, but there is one thing I think might have been done better here (I'm a grouch and usually have at least complaint to make no matter how well done a thing is). The majority of the FUDGEBOW examples used the female gender, and I wondered why we hadn't used that opportunity to demonstrate with more male nouns, given that the Accusative is essentially invisible with neuter or female genders. (and a small note that vids 2 and 3 in this series explicitly state that we've learned the pronouns, but I unless I dozed off for a moment I don't remember them being in video 1) Otherwise, this has been fantastic so far... I'm a Duolingo user and that style of learning - with sparse attention to explicit grammar learning - means you can be perhaps a bit beyond A1 in some ways and still making very basic errors in others, so this is a brilliant way to clear that up. Loving this series so far, thank you Mr Ferguson
I feel like crying cause im finally understanding these after sitting in class for hours and understanding nothing of what my teachers told me thank you so so so much
Thank you very much for your effort and time to teach, it's very useful for me and I understand every bit that u taught. God bless you more and your work
Linguistically, the direct object is not the thing have the verb doing to it. It's the thing that's not the subject but is direct, the first thing, it's normally the form "I do something" but indirect would be "I do something to someone/thing" the "to someone/thing" is the indirect object.
Thank you for your work! I am now learning A1 German. Do you sell these lessions in written and adio books? I travel a lot . The writings/ pictures / and adio makes it easy and interesting for me to learn faster. I would buy all of your work at once.
Supervideo! Nur zwei Dinge für die Lernenden: 1. „Fräulein“ like „miss“ is obsolete; 2. You would never say „die Polizistin ist eine Frau“, because we have already a gender in the job title here: Polizist-IN. Das wäre „doppelt gemoppelt“ wie: „die Frau ist eine Frau“. Man kann auch nicht sagen, „der Polizist ist eine Frau“ das wäre , als würde man sagen: „der Mann ist eine Frau“.
Da ist was dran! Danke für den Kommentar! Ich wusste schon, dass das Wort ‚Fräulein‘ nicht mehr verwendet wird und, dass es etwas veraltet ist, aber es ist gut, das den Lernenden zu erklären (wie Sie geschrieben haben!)
Even after I've stopped Listening to Rammstein, This man Says Gegen, and my brain instantly goes Mann Gegen Mann (Man [In this case Literally] Against Man)
Also, this one broke me a little because of the related knowledge I had to gather about how the pronouns themselves work, why is it all Sie? why? who thought that was a great idea? and while we're at it, why is Ihr both Y'all and Y'alls? I can feel my brain rewiring itself by the moment and it kind of hurts.
this man is a treasure
😃 Danke
Ich lerne gerade B2 und wiederhole die gesamte Grammatik von A1. Ich finde Ihre Erklärung besser als andere Kanäle, danke!❤😊
Ich auch❤
These are invaluable, great study materials. As a German teacher, I appreciate your lessons immensely!
You will never believe what you mean to me even though we are nothing but strangers.
Please keep it going.
Viele Dank.
Thank you. That means so much!

Yep. The easiest way for a lot of learners is to think of ‘what is being ‘verbed’?‘

Thanks for the great feedback! I’m working towards having purchasable materials, so watch this space!!
Thank you !
At least You are Better than Them Dankeschön 🙏

Thanks for the video. Is heißen a nominative verb?
Yep!
‘Ich heiße Herr Ferguson’
(rather than ‘Herrn’ (as it would be in the accusative)
Fudgebow
Fur meinen hund
Um um die stadt
Durch durch den baum
Gegen gegen die wand
Entlang meine liebe entlang
Bis bis nachsten tag
Ohne ohne den man
Doesn't er become sein??
Nope - ‘sein’ is the possessive adjective, i.e. ‘his’, not ‘him’ (video on those here: ruclips.net/video/MLgrCuKSMPE/видео.htmlsi=wLM0PRhO7dTPxOeH)
@@HerrFerguson ok thx for answering, fantastic lessons!

😂 This is an excellent summary of the primary frustration people have with German, but I’m delighted your brain is rewiring!
Ohne dich kann ich nicht sein too :D
Do you have b1 grammatik notes or pdf sir??
Hi! I’m afraid I don’t have any as yet, but my CEFR-friendly playlists are coming soon, so hopefully B1 will be here in no time!
Je ne comprends pas l'anglais.
Désolé, mais mon français n'est pas assez bon pour enseigner l'allemand en français !
All this complicated grammar in german and words a mile long and yet sie has to do triple function!
Ha. So true!
