You run out of words to express the sheer genius of these masters of comedy.I could watch all their shorts every day till I die and still be in awe of them
This sketch is genius! From the Oli's howls of pain to the ball face smack to the mis-direction punch to the Dad's upward looking K.O. stand to Stan's push-over to Stan's non punch hand pain to Oli's and the kids double takes. GENIUS 😂😂😂
Harpo Marx tried to do the punch with the unexpected fist in"The Big Store"..but..Stan did it much more convincingly and with genuine comedy than Mr.Marx..in "Blockheads".
Many of these gaga as depicted in this scene and so many others were from the genius comedic mind of Stan Laurel. There will never be another paring of two talents such as Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy.
Wonderful, just wonderful, brilliant comedy . The best ever . “ is there going to be a fight? “ 😂 😂 😂. Gets me into tears of laughter. Everything is in these few minutes of pure genius. Compare this to awful comedy filth of today .
Laurel and Hardy in the 40’s was never more than 10 minutes partly because of programming. There’s hardware and software. The 50’s TVs were mostly hardware and too small so they couldn’t hold longer shows inside them. Nowadays the software programming and larger memory with teamwork reaching out to you allows you to watch all sizes due to the chips and LEDs and Motorola involvement. They had to rely on Central Vacuum Theory or other theories like that. The Central Vacuum Theory and 100% basis of operation was a Catholic Ray Tube or CRT. It took up the whole set leaving almost no room for shows longer than 10 minutes or anything else and was very heavy. The circuitry and transistors with programming makes the difference to make an overall racism free product. The primary transistor is the BJT and FET is the modern version of transistor. The types of BJT are NPN and PNP transistors. Dynamism vs placidity. The FET is a unipolar device, which means that it is made using either p-type or n-type material as main substrate. It’s a racist free product. The jury convicted Chowvin on all 4 counts of racism. That should tell you something. 1619 BLM The proof is in the pudding.
Ciao fenomenali Stanlio e Ollio voi con i vostri divertentissimi filmati avete fatto ridere proprio il mondo intero compreso me naturalmente R.I.P troppo aimpatico quel bimbo che ho visto 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏 👍🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍
I dont know what say about laurel ad Hardy but these two were the best comedian actors and we will never ever get them but only old clips but then they were the only so sweet men ever seen upto now or nor any one can be like them.
I suppose this scene would not be shown on TV today because of the humiliating kicks-up-the-backside. But that is a legacy of the clowns: and still today at the circus, clowns may enact that sort of scene as shown in this clip. Laurel and Hardy were clowns. Their comedy derives from clowns. Most folk would sense that, but today’s culture executives have not a notion, nor do they retain, if ever they had, a sense of entertaining and being entertained.
Apparently the original ending to this was that Laurel and Hardy were killed and their heads on a mantle with Ollie turning to Stan and saying "Well, here's ANOTHER nice mess ya got me into!" with Stan just whimpering "I didn't mean it!" but the director didn't like that specific ending.
The ending with L&H's heads mounted over Billy Gilbert's fireplace mantel..That gag was used in "The Three Stooges"parody of Hitler"I'll Never Heil Again".
That's why I said the council will be called put people homeless cos they will struggle to find somewhere to put them why don't they ask council tenants that have got the room pay them it I'll be cheaper
Why do you think travel lodge didn't want to do homeless anymore pulled the plug they were sick of council they spent most of there time doing council job travel lodges they had other guest the council should have done travel lodges job
I told Michael palvoric how good salvation army staff are at Lawrence Street hub and told Michael palvoric how rubbish council are and my doctors and the hospital
Another great clip from these timeless masters of comedy. Thank you again Stan and Ollie for all the laughs.

Loved it at the end where Hardy KICKED the kid's ball down the stairs again.
This sketch is genius!

That"s the best part (s)!
The greatest punch in movie history. Stan's the man 💪👊
And I thought Bruce Lee mastered the one inch punch, but obviously it was Stan Laurel.
And maybe Bruce saw this movie.
Well this did come out a year before Lee was born, so...
Harpo Marx tried to do the punch with the unexpected fist in"The Big Store"..but..Stan did it much more convincingly and with genuine comedy than Mr.Marx..in "Blockheads".
"is there gonna be a fight?" cracks me up every time.
Tommy Bond (Butch from Our Gang) as the kid and veteran western heavy Harry Woods as the dad.
This has to be one of the funniest clips ever put on film!

Anche se non sono doppiati ..sono fantastici ed è bello sentire le loro voci...!!!❤❤
Это великолепные комедийные актёры! Неужели это 1938 год! Вот как надо было играть, не то, что сейчас все примитивно и плоско!
The kid is Tommy 'Butch ' Bonds from The Little Rascals. I met him when I worked at QVC in 1994. A splendid man.
The genius of Stan Laurel !
Genius never to be matched.
Poetic justice because ... well you know why?
Its just so good. Stood the test of time. They still make me laugh hard!
Priceless. Thanks for the video.
