Perfect timing for your video! While I am an experienced cross-stitcher, I just received my first Joy Sunday stamped cross-stitch from Ali-Express. This video was so helpful to me because you explain so well all of the symbols on the printed canvas, and what to watch out for, so I won't be as likely to make a mistake reading the printed symbols. So thank you for making a "beginner" video that helped this experienced Stitcher with my first Joy Sunday kit you inspired me to buy.
Finally…..after searching and watching several tutorials I have found you my dear….and now I can proceed with the lovely cross stitch I ordered from Amazon by Captain Crafts. NEVER have done cross stitch…lots of embroidery, quilting, garment making, painting, knitting, latch hooking, even recently diamond painting. Have always wanted to try cross stitch but it seemed too complicated and fussy. My kit arrived and I opened it only to find it was like learning Greek! Thus my search of a few days for instructions I could understand led me to you …..thank goodness 💕
Thank you so much for your informative video. I have completed lots of cross-stitched pieces before but this is my first experience of a printed aida fabric. You certainly have taken most of the mystery away from this new skill. Please keep on with your great advice - much appreciated!!

Thank you so much your video is awesome. I haven’t done embroidery since I was a kid and I needed a refresher course desperately because it’s been too many years and I am so grateful your video is so detailed you did a wonderful job. Thank you very much I appreciate your video. I’m going to make a Christmas present and now I have the confidence to make sure it will be beautiful. God bless you merry Christmas.
Beginner, haven't even started a project but viewing videos to get comfortable to attempt 1st piece, excited. Thank you you make it easy to see & understand. :)
I crewel embroider and have always wanted to do a stamped cross stitch pattern. You really covered everything such as always go in the same direction. I am a little confused in that I see all these white squares and I thought one had to fill in that little white square one at a time but when I watched, it looked like you were putting the needle into a square already colored and left the white square alone and just colored the same spot again. I will have to watch again. I wished I had watched this video before I bought my printed cross stitch and bought the brand that you like. Oh well....next time. I use to paint in oils for 14 years of landscapes. Then I went to decorative painting with acrylics. Then got into watercolor which I am enjoying but one just cannot sit anywhere and paint such as in the living room or even in bed. You have given me hope that when I cannot watercolor, I can do printed cross stitch in the room where my husband is so he does not get upset that I am in another room watercoloring. I just cannot keep still. I need to be doing something all the time. Anyway thank you so much for this video. You did a fantastic job!

I have a confession to make :( I had to give up on the winter canvas that you also were doing and done with now. The 3 strands were not working for me. I had to spend so much time fixing it that I was not enjoying it. 11 count is not for me. I have started another 11 count I have but only using 2 strands. Its so much better for me to learn on. My stitches are more even and the back looks good as well. I won't know how bad its going to look until I wash it. Not worried about it as this is just for practice. It's also a Joy Sunday the Flower Cabin. It has lots of back stitching and even a french knot to learn on. So much fun when I don't want to think just stitch. I can't just sit and do nothing even when I watch TV. If it turns out ok I can always frog the christmas one and do it in 2 strands instead of 3. I have been looking around for a 14 count now to do when I finish learning from my Flower Cabin one. Thanks for sharing your valuable knowledge with us.
This is an amazing tutorial! I have done counted cross stitch for years, and just purchased my first printed kit. I am really looking forward to trying this out. I am also looking forward to no counting, and I imagine this will be quicker and easier to complete. Thank you! :)

Nice and clear video. What I do is roll up the canvas with the back facing me. I hold the roll in my hand so I don't touch the stitches. I do a complete colom and when done I roll that the same way so my stitches are protected
This video is so helpful! Thank you! I’m not a beginner but I’m not advanced either. I’ve never washed a canvas before. Have you ever had the dyes on the threads bleed? I love the idea of using this type of canvas but I am really worried I’ll get one where the dyes just bleed all over the finished cross stitch.

Hi Natalya, wish you had done this before I started my first Joy Sunday, I know the DMC/Symbols from DP, but I had the threads with numbers on one side and on the other side the numbers are different and the DMC under number, lucky I ran out of a colour and figured out what happened 9 wasn't 9 it was 7 on the other side, the picture colour for the edge wasn't the same colour, so check the DMC on the colour code under the floss
