I’ve gotten back into cross stitch about 3 years ago now, and I find it so relaxing. I use a hoop to keep the fabric tight because it just works better for me and I have a neck light because these old eyes need lots of light. Really love being able to sit in my recliner to craft. Thanks for showing this Grace! 😘
Hi Deborah!!! I used to always use a hoop, and might use one again, as I too like my material taut. This is so much fun to work on!! No counting, and I can relax!! Take care!! 🥰😘
I just finished 2nd piece and there are white showing throughout also I have a hard time with stitches very messy. I am looking for help!!!! Thank you.🤗
Hello my friend, I have not tried cross stitch without using a hoop. I will definately have to try your way. It looks easier and you don't stretch the canvas. Thank you for the video. I cross stitch the same way. In the same direction. I think I might have to try and get back into cross stitching again. it is relaxing. Hope all is well with you and Jerry and the 4 legged kids. I will chat with you soon.
Hi there Karen!! Doing this stamped cross stitch is so much fun!! No counting makes it fantastic. I used to always use a hoop, but decided to give stitching in hand a go. I might use a hoop sometimes, but I'm enjoying doing it this way for now. We are all doing great, and we have SO MANY Purple Martins right now. They are building nests now and laying eggs! Talk soon!!
Very cool. I have a library of counted cross stitch books and a banker box full of various count aida cloth and even weave linen for doing HAED patterns. I even have a frame. I have 4 boxes of floss even and multiples of all the DMC colors and specialty threads used in some HAED patterns. Its been a few years since I've done Counted X-stitch. This looks so much easier than the tedious counting 😛😁
I remember collecting all of the threads and patterns well over 30 years ago. I have no idea what I did with all of it. Let me tell you, these stamped cross stitch kits are a joy to work on!!! They are inexpensive and NO COUNTING, which really makes it relaxing. I have put this kit in a hoop now, as I like working on a taut piece of cloth better. I'm going to try the Q snaps and see how those work too.I can sit on my couch and relax while I stitch!!
This may be a dumb question but I am very new to cross stitch! What happens with the grid around the rest of the canvas? Does it stay or would you choose a color and do a solid background?
Questions are never stupid, so please always feel free to ask! These marks will dissolve in water, so when you are finished stitching, you soak the whole piece in warm water until the ink is all gone. It might take 2 or more times to get it all off.

En algún momento se hacen puntadas diferentes?
No. Cross Stitch is always the same stitch
