In europe we have civic shuttle rt, wich is a 1.6 with 4wd. the whole thing fits(gearbox, suspension cardanaxle). the only downside is that you can only use a D series engine since the original is a D16A6 or D16z6
@DCN0B dont forget that this crx would probably smoke whatever you have if you even own a car regardless of the taillights. it could be painted hot pink and its still fast as fuck
@thepenny1986 My guess is the used a civic rt 4wd wagon as a base and used a crx body with whatever engine transmission they wanted. The vehicles use the same chassis.
@jacksean Very true. Haha i sadly dont own a car yet (Just turned 16), I just felt like pointing out the chrome lights. I respect the power of the car, but to me the chrome lights are just annoying.
@johnt20 wouldnt count on it, but anyway, what i was saying, is that would be a good alternative that would be cheaper and easier with as good or better results
i'd say stick to the D16, unless you really want to swap it and if so, put a H22A insteed of a B16A... else if you can afford 5-6K for an engine go far a K20/K24 otherwise a D16 cost much less then all others so you can work the engine then eventualy put a turbo kit and enjoy the hard work ;)
@KarlosCZ27 is that 521hp at the fly wheel? a gt30 on a 1600 must be pretty laggy as the boost threshold must be high? does it suffer compressor surge? have you got any power graphs? would be interesting to see, what was the 1/4 mile time? nice car btw
@onericePls Who cares about 0 mph? The important thing is e.g. 100-250 kph (for passing and actual racing, not just a stupid drag) and that's where a 521 hp AWD weighing just about a ton TOTALLY shines. On a real road, this thing (even with road legal tires) can easily obliterate the VAST majority of stock Ferraris, Porsches, Lamborghinis etc. NOT BAD FROM A TINY 4-CYL. 1.6, I'D SAY!
thats a 1.6L AWD setup from a early 80's AWD Civic wagon. Pulled the complete drivetrain out of the wagon and put it in a crx. Nice conversion there.

that thing has a decent launch for street tires....not bad. THis isn't the first AWD turbo honda I've seen.
please take care of that crx!, AMAZING CAR!
ok we need to see some build vids of this thing.
that's a very smart move..
that crx must be a killer, low weight-awd-turbo..
@hondacrx520 its the transfer case and rear end out of a honda crv i think was looking at doing it but its a lot of fab work

@KarlosCZ27 Dont forget the chrome tail lights add another 100 HP.

wow, imagine if someone lost control at that strip, people would either be killer or seriously hurt....
thats right HONDA IS WHAT IT IS
Japonský ferarri :D :D Nádherná :))
@johnt20 wouldnt count on it, but anyway, what i was saying, is that would be a good alternative that would be cheaper and easier with as good or better results
@alexhc09 It makes it look like a toy with shiny parts... Tail lights need to be red, not silver/chrome.
sounds beautifully
@dustinwinget. Thanks damm I thought it was some thing more easy but I guess it will only be a dream
I'll assume you mean from midtrack where it starts to pick up. Because off the line that thing isn't too peppy.
@DCN0B add a no fear sticker and your good for 1500hp at the wheels lol

track safety standards: who needs em?
cool race,,, but what would happen to the crowd if a car spins out controle..
@gottagetasupra ohh yea !! supra ! thats a real car

Verry verry nice! But what was the 1/4mile time?
i thought same here, wouldnt a CRV drivetrain swap do better, at least with the axle, dont know the torque split on the AWD system of the CRV though
Use the running gear of the civic wagovan awd 88-91 it was awd d series I seen it used in the 91 hb so I assume it's the same for crx
@jerryatrix9 lol ya it kinda seams like hes got some problems of some sort.
@thepenny1986 used the drivetrain from a awd civic wagon =P they come awd.
so take the body off the chassi then put another ef body like ef hatch or in this case crx right? plz get into details m me if u can :)
HONDA RULES!!!
holly fuckin vtec ahah thats sweet
@gu81singh i mean the sound lol

im sure he doesnt know the difference between 4x4 and AWD. that CRX is AWD
@InitialDirt mt guess is crv drivetrain, or just a load of bullshit
hey does any one know how i can make my 90 crx 4x4 plz hit me up

The taillights are hideous.....
it doesnt fit the b series
