It's good that they let Thomas out of his DP cage for these sorts of things every so often. He clearly needs the vitamin D and social interaction.
This video feels more like a commercial for DJI mic than an impartial review.

it's like film riot initial days videos; a lot of humor and diy projects
I've had mine for 4 or 5 months now. It works well but you can get interference with some external mics and sometimes with the internal mics but there's an easy fix for the latter. I love the recorder function and overall I think they're great.
Possibly my favorite DJI mic review yet🤣
Own them and love them. Come in handy all the time. Particularly the internal recording ability. I can just clip them to an event speaker, click the built in record button and walk away without worry of radio interference. The audio can definitely pass as professional with a little bit of EQ applied.
yea im having issues with syncing up the internal recording to my video. The audio that records directly to camera is perfect, but it won't sync to the internal recording. Anyone having this issue?
Do you get interference if you turn on the transmitter when clipping to a speaker?
@@AOJOPhotography I haven’t had interference but it’s because I have only used the transmitters as little field recorders and then sync later. Also not having any issues syncing in post. Are you getting audio drift?
I’ve been reading of syncing issues and noise, I was ready to buy until then. I don’t need any problems, once it’s fixed I’ll take another look

I love my picomic- the clip on mics are much smaller than the rode, and dji counterparts. However the built in recording is a pretty dope feature.
I like how the video just ends when Thomas is about to say something. Classic.
As a freelance photographer over 20 years that’s been shooting video for the last 7 years(yeah, I’m one of those), I’m kicking myself because I just got a used MKH 416 on eBay for $600. I’ve been using sub $200 rode and the difference in sound really upsets me. I wish I could go back 7 years and purchase this mic. When it comes to sound, go big or go mediocre.
GREAT video... infomrative and really entertaining... It also makes me WANT that system. It seems perfect for people like me who are one man bands and do a lot of run n gun... I'm sure it will sound great with a little processing too
How does this compare to the Saramonic BLINK 500 B2? Also comes with a case that charges both transmitters and I believe when I bought was less than 300

It’s definitely a great mic. But I prefer the Tentacle Sync since you can get 32bit Float. Alas, needs the sync. But great quality audio.
As a Sound Engineer my self, most mics can sound good if you can control them while recording and process it well. The DJI mic has a muddy sound but I believe with processing you can easily make it sound great

@@Trillavision I don’t have one. Processing will change with every recording. Learn EQ and Compression that’s all you need.

Very handy and love the versatility but you get RF interference when you're recording with a Zoom H4N. Hope DJI can fix it.

nothing wrong with the lower budget sound but side by side id describe it as more dull and the higher budget as more crisp
I always feel the same awkwardsness behind my computer as the people there when filming these videos, nonetheless good video.

What about the connection issues though? Without perfect line of sight I'm getting really bad connection with rumble noises as a result. I can't even put the transmitter in my back pocket when using a lav. Listen to this quick example of the issues: ruclips.net/video/ZAFr2ZS7VOo/видео.html
Also did a professional shoot in a studio with lavs, lots of connection issues. Yeah you can use the backup audio but that wasn't the point of this wireless set.

I personaly think the profesional one sounds more proffessional and the not so proffesional one sounds not so professional so my conclusion is if you want to use a proffesional one because it sounds more professoinal then you should do that because of the professionalism associated with the proffesional one . which basically means that if you want your audio to sound more profesional then use the profesional one. trust me Im a profesional

**SAID WITH LOVE. Man the setup with the Cos-11 sounds amazing but, KEEPING IT 100%, the DJI sounds like absolute garbage. That said, with the external Lav and DJI transmitter it’s darn good. Thx for the honest comparison.

Sorry Thomas I think you are full of it. The DJI built-in mic sounds muffed, and the Sanken sounds so much better! Looking at your attempt to be a shameless plug for DJI, I am unsubscribing from your channel and signing up to Dave Maze's channel as you suggested.
