- Víkingur Ólafsson is an up-and-coming visionary pianist not only of technical sublimity but also of remarkable entrepreneurial abilities. Ólafsson has commissioned and premiered, to date, five new piano concertos from different young composers, and has collaborated on diverse musical projects with a broad range of artists and musicians. These include conductors Vladimir Ashkenazy and Rafael Payare, as well as his compatriot Björk and composers Mark Simpson and Philip Glass.

Whichever one that I'm listening to
20, is like the strangest thing ever
It's so cool to see the book resting on the steel harp, inside. It's like Glass himself is listening intently to this performance, and as though Olafsson is playing for his approval.
Beautifully done , great hands quiet and strong. Technical mastery beautiful to watch .
This is a beautiful piece of music. I just heard it on the classical station and was totally shocked it was Philip Glass.
I'm enjoying your rendition of these Etude very much. The location, camera work, the light and color also add to the general effect nicely.
