In the Future Trunks Arc, the Kaioshin apprentice - Zamas - had made a wish to switch bodies with Son Goku - the mortal who was the catalyst for what would become the Zero Mortals Plan. This body swap led to the creation of Goku Black who would go on to use a time ring to find his alternate self and make that version of himself immortal as well. This raises a question though - why didn’t Goku Black become immortal as well or instead of Zamasu? In episode 59 of Dragon Ball Super, Goku Black explains to Zamasu that his desire is a power with unlimited heights rather than an immortal body. This does leave us with a different question though - What If Goku Black had wished for Immortality?

The TOP would be different cause Toppo wouldn’t be allowed to be In it and Jiren would recognise Goku as goku black and finish him quickly
The timeline was restored to the way it was before Goku Black. In theory, Belmod is God of Destruction again. As for Jiren, yeah he might or he might take him out slowly to prove his own strength like he did in the real ToP. Notably, that doesn’t matter too much since without 2 Zenos universal erasure shouldn’t be a loser’s consequence.

Honestly I'm one of the biggest Jiren fans, but if Jiren's method of sealing criminals failed (like in this What If) Jiren would eventually be defeated by Goku Black if he didn't have any other way of sealing him...

That's of course if Black wasn't sealed by the Z Sword (my favorite part) but Marcarita could just let Toppo die (I wasn't hoping that 😬) like Whis did to Merus 😄

My new favorite what-if, I like how it is like an alternate scenario that has little to no future impact but tells one hell of a story. I really loved the role Jiren, Toppo, and Marcarita played. Really smart story with how they were utilized 👌

Dude I am not sure who you're talking about when you say "he" but if it's Zamasu then no. He wasn't already immortal Supreme Kai can live for a very long time but they aren't immortal and can be killed evidence by Future Supreme Kai dying in the future version of the Buu Saga. Beerus can't kill immortals even with the Hakai technique
And Zamasu does wish for immortality and in Dragon Ball immortality just means super automatic regeneration evidence by Goku blowing Zamasu's head off but regenerating in purple smoke

I really liked that shadowy description of Ultra Instinct getting closer, closer, and closer!.... all the while, we saw Toppo's Angel arrive, we saw him stand, we saw him approach in the background, and suddenly, even as Goku Black was getting more powerful, there was hope in the air. That was a very, very cool scene.
There could of *course* be a dark end to this what-if, wherein Goku Black was seconds faster and a flicker of Omen allowed his body to autonomously dodge the sealing blade as a threat, even if his mind hadn't registered it. But I personally love it when the heroes win, go figure, so I enjoyed seeing Toppo bring justice upon the fallen god.
Something I always wondered: if Goku brought the seal, would it have been enough to hold a being with universal shattering power? Like, not to snuff roshi, but would there be a limitation to how much those mafuba seals can contain? Or would Goku’s black overwhelming power be enough to undo the seal from the inside?
My guess is it’s based off the users power somewhat

vegeta got sealed so the only limit I could think of would be immortality but I think it still works because they don’t die when they go in the mafuba seal they’re just stuck in it
The Mafuba's sealing power seems to be absolute, so long as the Sealing Tag is in place.
The effort comes from actually using the technique to seal the target, which scales in danger the greater the power gap. Roshi and Mutaito died from using it on King Piccolo due to King Piccolo's vastly greater power than them, while Goku could keep yeeting Turtle with it because Goku was leagues stronger than the turtle.
Goku Black and Goku are roughly the same in overall power, but an immortal Goku Black could win via attrition, so the Mafuba is the equalizer.

I really liked the fact that toppo and marcarita were moving around in the background while jiren was fighting goku black, very nice touch
What Zamazu failed to understand is that Super Shenron’s wish power is Omnipotent. No restrictions or limitations at all. So if he looked a bigger picture and be more creative and ambitious, then he would’ve wished to steal all of Zeno’s powers for himself. Becoming the Supreme Being of all Existence then wiping the multiverse clean and remake it in his own image.
Also, you should make another What If based on Jiren and Goku Black "What If Zamasu took Jiren's Body?"

Just subed to you, It's interesting on why Goku black didn't wish for that, It would of made goku black the absolute strongest (besides fusion in that universe)getting power up after power up after power up. Merged Zamasu should of been fully immortal from to the start, it makes no sense why he was half immortal, it's an entirely new being mixing up everything becoming one. That same episode Vegito blue uses the final kamehameha. Great vid!

how big your zenkai is depends on the severity of your injury, so yes black would get a bunch of small zenkais
The biggest issue is him never learning UI, Black has never trained in his life, he wouldn’t be able to learn the technique because he doesn’t know how to. It’s just not something you get from getting stronger.

I think we need to remember the main theme of dragon ball and its powers powerscaling. Anything "absolute" can be overpowered with a big enough power gap. The whole point of Jirens character was that he was so overpowered that anything thrown at him was just a matter of "just hold back a little less". He even muscled through all of hit's hacks with relative ease, and even matched mui goku for a while. I'd say a god of destruction would likely Hakai any immortal, and Jiren being a league above a God of destruction would be able to handle the immortality as well.

The reason why they aren't both immortal is so the heroes could still win
ssj god is base with god ki, similarly to ssj g4 ssj god's strain on the body is non existent so if the user train's in base with a partner he/she gonna have slower gains than ssj god because the user can use it as an base form. And unlike an saiyan, god ki doesn't fiscally transform a human because saiyan biologically is more aimed towards transformation's than any species.
Where did you get that idea? In the t.o.p goku could barely go ssjg and whis said it was draining his stamina. If ssj has no drain (mastered ssj) and ssj god doesn't. Ssjb wouldn't have any drain, yet its said multiple times it does

By extending one of his hands, with his four main fingers straight up and his thumb crossing his palm horizontally, Beerus can cause his target to disintegrate into nothing regardless of who or what it is, without any effort or waste of energy. In the film Battle of Gods, Beerus hints Destruction by turning an egg into dust with a simple touch. straight from they guides. also your argument needs no counter my hole argument was stated above and you argument ignores the choose of words used when beerus only ever used the word Kill 1 time vs him always using Destroy when referring to ending somethings life

What if Trunks and Krillin never find present cell
It wouldn't have an effect on the main timeline's story due to how long it took him to become imperfect cell in Future Trunk's timeline. Also, once he comes out, unless he ends up getting the slip on 17 and 18, he'd be no match for any of the Z Fighters. Even if he does end up becoming Perfect Cell, Goku would easily be able to kill cell, then they can wish back whoever was killed by Cell, which includes the androids.

1:26 weird how here they say that Beerus can’t kill immortals (i gotta imagine that means the hakai can’t do it) but SSB Goku earlier IN THE MANGA could have destroyed Zamasu with a weaker version of it? Wonder why Goku black did not wish for hyper adapting, being like doomsday. He did not want immortality, but having him adapt to anything for insurance, would have been wise.
Maybe zamasu could use the earrings on buu, Buuhan, or kid buu, making zamasu look normal, but he have all of buu powers and abilities, with both healing factors fused as well.
