First off, I know uploads from me are a long time coming. Which I apologize for. Ash and I conceptualized the story of Goten Black back in January of 2021, and this is the culmination of a year of work. Hopefully, this new endeavor was worth the wait to those who actually watch this channel.

Honestly, Goten Black would have been so much better than Goku Black because of the friendship Goten and Trunks had. So much interpersonal drama, Trunks feeling betrayed by his former friend and later trying to find a way to save his former friend, ultimately being forced to kill him, because except for his body nothing is left of his former friend
Unfortunately is impossible, if Goten existed in future timeline, Androids and Cell incident would be very different, I doubt Gohan, Goten and Trunks would struggle too much
@@voidx6782 It is not impossible. The Zamasu and and Goku that was Goku black was from the future of the present timeline post Android Saga so if it was just slightly further in the future it COULD have been Future Goten.
@@weathermangohanssj4 That timeline is the normal timeline but the only difference is Goku dead and everything else is the same, Gohan and Vegeta are there, and most likely Goten and Trunks aren't going to fight.

I love the changes you did to the characters, like Trunks keeping the lavender and having an open jacket/better SSJ2 look and Gohan with his long childhood hair.
Vegeta using the HTC with Trunks, thank you. Why they didn't do this originally is beyond me, but I'm glad you guys did it. I'm hyped for God Trunks.

It's always great to see another dragon ball what ifer with talent! The way you've written Goten Black and how he knows next to nothing about the events of super is all very intriguing, makes me wonder what kind of timeline he comes from and what his issues with Future Trunks are, especially with how he prefers to focus on Trunks rather than Fight Goku. It's very interesting to see how you've turned this originally silly idea into a well thought out and serious story. I also like you've expanded this scenario from just Goku Black being Goten to a whole rewrite of the sags based around the concept! I like how Vegeta took Future Trunks into the time chamber, which is something they should of done in canon, and not only that Gohan's been training in this timeline but you've also brought him into the future, giving him time to shine while keeping out Goku and Vegeta, avoiding what MasakoX calls "The Goku and Vegeta Show"(Which I fully agree with him on, those two have gotten so much of the spotlight I'm surprised their not sunburnt). I'm excited to see more, but no rush or pressure of course!
I Also just finished your "Cassandra Cain in Dragon Ball" Series, I enjoyed it as well and I hope you plan on continuing that series, but I understand if that's a long while if you do, especially if you want to focus on this series first. Either way, I'll definitely comment more of my thoughts on that series later, just wanted to comment on this first.
I look forward to this guys growth, his skill is really good.

Back then when the Theory of Goten being Goku Black was a thing, *I used to believe* that Goten was indeed born in that timeline but it was hidden from all that Android mess because Chi-Chi didn´t want to lose another son the hands of evil robots. And since technically Future Gohan did die because of Trunks in Goten´s perspective, Goten would grow into a Saiyan blinded by rage and darkness wanting to destroy everything in his path.

This is amazing!!! I love the change you did to the story and characters, it gives Gohan some more build to his character. If you are making a part 2 I can't wait, keep up the good work. I also love that Gohan comes to the future instead of Goku and Vegeta
Gohan Looks Different Haircut Wise I Don't Think Present Gohan Would Even Consider Adopting That Hairstyle
One of the most well done “What If?”s I’ve seen, I loved this first part. I love the reconnection between Trunks and Gohan, and the reveal that Gohan came with Trunks back to the future was stellar. Vegeta and Trunks training together was also really well done. VAs and art were all stellar. (Goten Black’s voice was personally my favorite, but every VA did an incredible job.).
Overall, amazing job, I can’t wait to see where this story goes!! ❤️❤️

Edit: finished the video, the production quality was amazing, and the story has so many plot twists that made this 20x better to enjoy, I hope there’s a Part 2, and if there is I can’t wait for it!!

What life events would twist Goten. Even reckoning his birth and developing this orphan child.
There's not that many what if you tubers that have good narration aside from dragon ball content, you are one of those good narrators.

Goku Black was so inconsistent with his power, but Future Goten isn't quite on that Goku/ Vegeta tier, but that's not a problem because they have been written out of the fight. It leaves Gohan and Future Trunks some spotlight. 2 longterm fanfavorites, reunited.
I liked how Goku immediately called out Future Goten's accent, before the genocidal tendencies.
You nailed Kid Trunks and Goten. THANK YOU! You kept the Mario Kart reference from the Manga to! and kept the Pilaf gang's gags to a minimum.
Bulma's maternal instincts and sneakiness paid off. You kept the arc from feeling bloated with too many characters by having the Gods act how they should, like i totally can see Beerus dragging Goku to U10 because he doesn't trust him to stay put unsupervised.
Simply having Futre Trunks mentioning how Future Gohan would mention longing to be a scholar makes the transition feel so much better. Like now it makes me happy knowing Gohan is truly happy and this really is what he always wanted. It retroactively makes Future Gohan even more tragic though leading to a bittersweet, but overall wholesome moment. (also Gohan simply forgetting to cut his hair when he throws himself back into training along with the other stuff just feels right and not pandering.)
I loved how you kept 18's moment in. And had Vegeta and Future Trunks in the HTC. It's parallel to his last visit, but now Future Trunks can truly soak in the change in his Father.
I honestly hope you do something with explaining Super Mai within the context of the arc, at least her meeting Future Trunks.
It also might be cool if they unsealed Buu's cocoon and gained another ally. What if Future Yajirobe becomes Majin Buu's Bestie as a Hercule stand in. They share enough traits, heck Saiyan Saga Yajirobe felt like a proto Hercule. during the fillers where he was taking credit for Goku's accomplishments.
Gohan is in the Great Saiyaman suit, which means he is going full super hero. It's so appropriate! but for some reason, he is wearing his Saiyan Saga headband. Interesting call back.
Also Gotenks might foreshadow that Gohan and Trunks will fuse. If neither of them can transform into Super Saiyan God/SS Blue, perhaps their fusion would.

Very interresting ending. The battle of the Hybrid-Saiyans.
This was pretty good I like how you kept if interesting and fixed most people issues with characters (despite me not minding Trunks Blue hair, and Gohan keeping his hair short.) I also like how you took the Manga Gohan concept of him training with Piccolo after the black arc bur instead moved it to after resurrection F and instead of him copying hid father and never taking off the gi it's just him forgetting to cut his hair it makes it kinda funny.
Also I'm assuming that Trunks is gonna remember what Vegeta told him true power comes from when Mai and Gohan are like almost gonna get well ya know and is gonna finally turn SSG Trunks and then later on Goku and Vegeta will show up with Shin and Gowasu or with Beerus and Whis in order to take the time ring and potara away from Goten "Black"
Side note: in the intro when you kept putting the smiling Goten pic I was ☠ lol I can't wait for more if this what if.
That was amazing, sorry I couldn't catch the full premiere but this was so good and everyone involved did so good.
At first you had my interest but now, you have my attention, can't wait to see where you're going with this, especially with having gohan come to the future as well

I love this, this is so cool I had a huge smile on my face almost the whole time.
I hope that when all is said and done that the Time Patrol takes both Future Trunks AND Future Goten (maybe he has a redemption story arc or gets another chance) forcing them into a buddy cop adventure as there divine probation for messing with the timelines.
I love that Gohan is going into the Future with Trunks because of how poetic it is and how Gohan missed out on U6 so it's like he was saved for this. I can't wait to see how far Gohan's training has come and his interactions with Future Goten are going to be like.
It would be cool if you touched upon the Future Z-Warriors currently in Otherworld for backup because there are ways they could arrive and assist from Baba to Namekian Dragon Balls, etc. Besides, I bet they all have had a ton of adventures and gotten super strong. If you think about it, BoG Beerus' first stop was King Kai's planet so it's possible they already have met the GoD before the Supreme Kai died.
I wonder if Future Trunks learned Instant Transmission from Supreme Kai in this? Now that would come in handy for him because he would regain access to Namek, could recruit Future Dende, and get some Earth Dragon Balls to help restore the devastation. I could totally see Gohan suggest this to Trunks.

That's definitely an interesting thought on what happens with F. Trunks and F. Goten.
I'm glad Gohan's got a lot more love here, like having him logically train right after Frieza messed him up and being involved here (which fits poetically well).
Wouldn't it be the Kai Kai that Trunks could learn, instead of the Instant Transmission? Kai Kai is a better version of Instant Transmission, not requiring focus to lock on to someone.
I would like for Gohan to make those suggestions, because it would finally give back the Dragon Balls after so long. Plus, the ending in the original should definitely be overwritten with a much better one.
It's been a soft little rewrite of the arc, and I'm looking forward to what they do next.

Oh man, if F Trunks knew Kai Kai (Godly Transportation), he could go almost anywhere, even Otherworld like Kami and Baba have done. That would open so many doors, but that would be a rabbit hole.
If they get the Dragon Balls back on Earth, Future Trunks could wish his mom back to life. Future Bulma's ressurection would be the first wish in decades. That would make a better ending.

I've been thinkin' about what how things wouldve ended up if GOTEN was Goku Black instead for so long and thought of how much cooler and interesting it wouldve been, but could never quite think of anything different and unique happening if it happened, until you made this video! This is awesome. I also love the voice acting you all did and the script was well-made! GREAT job! As a matter of fact, i liked this so much, i actually even prefer it to the original way the arc was handled to be honest! I also LOVE the fact the you made Future Trunks' hair purple again!! Also also.... LOVE the fact that you made Gohan's hair long and cool-looking this time! It's a HUGE improvement!! And i really like how you fleshed out Adult Gohan's character where ended up balancing out training and work! PROPS. And then ontop of that, you had it so that Gohan went WITH Trunks to the future?? 👀

This is what it shouldve been. The emotional pull of Goku seeing Goten and Vegeta not pulling punches and putting Goku down for not fighting all out. Then unveiling the history of how Goten turned like that having his body stolen from Zamasu, then Vegeta wanting to be more separate from Goku showing more of their rivalry. Trunks losing and getting beat by an evil Goten would make Vegeta mad his son is weak and train like crazy. The emotional distress in Dbz is whats missing in super

so i had a much longer comment actually typed up, but my power went out mid-way through so uh...you get the short version.
For starters, I agree with the Raditz and Goku statement. While i enjoy what I find as "the classics" (MasakoX and TheRedHeadHenry), it's gotten to an annoying point of over-abundance and bad reasoning. Not that I think either of them switching natures is likely.
Second, I love the fight between Vegeta and Trunks. it makes more sense then Goku fighting Trunks. however im not a fan of the "god ki in base" thing. I personally that should just be Super Saiyan God, but since it's a minor thing I'll ignore it.
I love Goku calling out GotenBlack as well with his accent. It's also interesting how he notes "your not supposed to be this strong", hinting that Goten here really is from another timeline. It's confusing though since Goku would have had to been in the U6V7 for Zamasu to know...which lead's to more curiosity. All-in-all, a really nice line to add in.
The section with Gohan was quite enjoyable. While I do prefer Gohan's hair from the series, it's not a terrible pick. I do think Kid Trunks should have had a more shocking reaction as well, as he hadn't seen his adult version since he was a baby. But ignoring that, his reaction to Goten is quite great. the fact he say's "not yet" is understandable, kid or not he's been fighting this guy for years unlike 18 who he easily swept away, he was molly-whopped by Goten. Although I must say, I'd like to see Trunks reaction to SSJ3, or your guy's interpretation of it. And because it was only swift, I'll also mention here that I liked that cheeky transformation in the time chamber before the transition.
that finale was also pretty good. I'm not sure if you'll do a second part, but weather you do or not that's pretty good. while im not a fan of Great Saiyaman's cape, it definitely fit's Gohan's personality. Im curious if he still has his Ultimate Power or not. I am more of a fan of Super Saiyan, but I imagine that he would need it to compete with Goku Clone Black.
I always thought the story would be compelling if it was Future Gohan that was the villain instead for Super, had a lot of potential on that front
