- What if Goku obtained Ultra Instinct against Goku Black and Zamasu in the Goku Black Arc?

Ultra Instinct, Migatte No Gokui, the Secret Technique of Self Movement. This is the technique that Whis has been trying to teach Goku and Vegeta ever since he started training them in Resurrection F and is of course finally seen when Goku is put up against the strongest man in the multiverse - Jiren. However, that doesn’t have to be the moment Goku unlocks the technique, while I’m partial to the idea that Ultra Instinct could only be unlocked by Goku after his training with Whis had begun, that doesn’t make the Tournament of Power the only time this power could awaken. So let’s travel back one arc. The time when Goku and Vegeta were battling not for the sake of their own timeline, but the future timeline. Today I ask, What If Goku unlocked Ultra Instinct in the Goku Black Arc?

You actually voicing them makes it more immersive. I actually looked back and wondered how Zamasu wasn't the perfect villain to unleash Ultra Instinct on. A corrupt god vs a mortal with a technique that not even the gods have mastered. Seems it would tick Zamasu off lol.

@James Purgason He'd be livid for sure. He hated SSJB and fusion because it was the level of the Gods. UI Goku and UE Vegeta would make him self destruct from sheer rage lol. Would have been cool to see Zamasu get maimed by MUI Goku though 🤣

the reasoning for ui not being revealed in that arc is because the arc was obviously not about goku.
Genuinly looking forward to this, I've mainly been a fan of the idea of them teasing UI Omen in this arc so we could have something to look forward to in the ToP. Imagine if for a brief moment through some miracle we got UI Omen, dodging all of Zamasu/Black's attacks, making him pissed that it seems he might be reaching a level not even the GoD perfected yet, allowing Goku to buy some time for whatever secret plan/attack would seal the victory

Even though ultra instinct sign isnt exactly powerful, it should still be able to do enough to damage black quite severely tbh
It’s still much stronger than Kaioken X20 Blue and quickly evolves to keep up with Jiren.

The whole deal of ui sign in the anime was that he couldn’t rly attack wich means he would have to transform into ssj blue to attack

should this continue it'd be really interesting to see vegeta unlock ultra instinct sign in the moro arc, it would make sense given the time he has had to train with MUI goku, he would likely grasp a brief understanding of it, especially so after learning to train his spirit maybe?
The scaling in this is off though in order for this what if to be in any way logical this would mean that broly is already drastically stronger than the current mui goku since you know he never said broly himself was stronger. Otherwise it makes zero sense to even need above blue

@Mar in the granolah arc sure he went the path of the destroyer but this is when they both were still training under whis, and I think we all know how vegeta is, if kakarot can do it then so can I. We saw this in the tournament of power think of it like super saiyan, nobody did it in the last thousand years, then after goku did it all the saiyans could do it. Likely this is due to the difference of learning something completely from scratch and learning from an example.

Fun fact it actually took 3 hours for them to master fusion if you watch gotenks vs super buu he says "if you dont come back it will be another 1 hour before I can fuse again" so it would of taken them 3 hours not 1

Not to say it wouldn't be accurate, but I hope this isn't another Goku-dies-when-he-goes-UI-because-his-body-can't-handle-it what-if.
@The original LCCS Yeah, he might lose a large # of subscriptions for that; but, considering the toll MUI placed on Goku in canon, causing him to fall out of it in paralyzing pain just before he eliminated Jiren from the ToP, it makes sense he would die as a baby or toddler if he went into it. I would like to have a story, though, rather than just Goku dying, eventually leading to Zeno erasing 8 universes.

@@STheSonicFan Yeah, but there's a reason why he might die: I think it was Carthu himself who made the case for UI not only being a technique, but also a form, at least for those who aren't angels. If Goku went into UI too early, he might die from his body not being ready for the form.

Great video, though I think a part 2 when the super anime does reach the Moro arc would be pretty short due to how much more powerful ultra instinct Goku is to a newly released Moro. And with frieza gone there wouldn't be a granolah arc.

What if Goku and Gohan went to the Room of Spirit and Time again before the Cell games?
They would get a very little power boost unless they try another routine In the chamber as vegeta and trunks reentered and managed almost nothing gohan might manage to unlock ssj2 and in a lot of dificulty goku would manage it as well ( probably not) but with the sheer power boost it would be enough for if double team him kill cell even without ssj2

Unless they brought Senzu Beans and/or Dende with them than they’d likely get a minuscule boost, at least compared to their initial boost from their first year in the Time Chamber, it MIGHT be enough that Gohan wouldn’t need SSJ2 to be stronger than Cell but he’d likely still need it against Super Perfect Cell however since Gohan became arrogant and bloodthirsty when initially fighting in the form than it’s possible that Cell would get ANOTHER Zenkai thereby possibly putting him above SSJ2 Gohan

The vast majority of the fighters were jobbers that was nothing the non human fighters couldn't handle. Which is kind of disappointing in retrospect.
It is somewhat of a joke untill jiren. Only reason goku struggled is because he was out of stamina.

I don’t see Black gaining the upper hand once Omen is unlocked. The power gap is far too great for him not to be doing damage just because he was still thinking. It made sense when he fought Jiren and Kefla because they were so intensely strong and that Goku was doing Zero damage against Jiren already. But Black who was barely stronger than him would just get dominated.

Nice one-shot what if, and yeah Goku having access to UI earlier just makes things much easier. It will be interesting when you get to the Granola Arc in 2 years or so. The what if I'm hoping comes back is: What if Gohan caught the Potara?

But the granolah arc won't happen, the only reason why granolah became strong was because of frieza and with frieza dead he has no motive for fighting Goku and vegeta.

I would say that a large part of your audience are in fact manga readers, and an even larger part at least know somewhat about the Moro arc anyway either through spoilers or otherwise. Therefore, I think extending your videos to that with a spoiler warning wouldn’t be such a bad idea.

No He couldn't, he had not even heard of Whis or his ability back then and during the fight with Hit he not only wasn't pushed hard enough but he was far too weak to even hold it for an instant without exploding, he didn't have enough training at all.
@@CerealExperimentsMizuki ultra instinct won't make goku explode if he can't handle it, even roshi was able to use it during the T.O.P in the manga. at most he'll be fatigued or will drop out of the form after only a few seconds
@@idiot4177 Roshi never used Ultra Instinct he just used his old turtle hermit training to dodge an attack, if he had gone Ultra Instinct then he would've had the aurs and it would've stated it. The whole point of that scene was to demonstrate the level of skill Roshi had to where he could do something with Jiren even through his power was nothing compared to his. Goku almost exploded from using Ultra Instinct becusse it'd a Godly ability thet uses an incredible amount of heat and energy and when not mastered, it puts a massive strain on the body as stated by Whis and Berrus and shown Twice. Goku also didn't master Ultra Instinct in thr T.O.P. he just achieved the true form of it, he later mastered it in the Granolah Saga with True Ultra Instinct.

I think Goku should of unlocked sign in the Goku black arc. This would let him train it enough like he does before he fought gas. This would let him master UI more sensibly.

Love the concept but wouldnt this contradict Ultra Instinct, cause after finding out about his family he'd be pissed, emotion and rage is opposite of Ultra Instinct via Omen or Mastered.
No. He unlocks it after Goku Black impaled him to near death. His rage and grief only gave him a massive power boost to his limit breaking form after being wounded until his form gives out.
