Why do I keep seeing this statement? Was Daisley responsible for a lot of the "musical" element of Ozzy's early career? People are really pissed, stating that Bob never got any, or enough, credit for the material. Appreciate some knowledge on this- thanks!
@@treff9226i believe he and randy wrote all or most of the blizzard of ozz and some or most of the second album but never gets hardly and credit for it

Very enjoyable and entertaining video! I am in agreement with the first two albums being Ozzy’s best work. I am however surprised that the hidden track “Hero” on No Rest For The Wicked was not mentioned. Or it if was, I didn’t catch it. That song was definitely strong enough to be a regular album track, and in my opinion the best song on that album! And one of his all-time best! 🥳

Next Q & A- Do you have any opinion or reviews of the current Rock/Metal groups that have recorded new material in the 2010’s? Some on my playlist Dream Child, Revolution Saints, Dead Daisies, Ghost, and Rival Sons. Keep up the great videos!
Would've liked to see a deeper dive into the later Ozzy material, at least as honorable mentions (as it's very tough to top the first 5 albums, if not just the top 2 lol). I wasn't big into Bark At The Moon as a whole, but just about any song from the first two, Sin, or Wicked is great stuff. I have a soft spot for the "hidden" track on Wicked, Hero. Tears as an album was a little light, but always liked the single No More Tears, along with the Tinkertrain riff and some others. It gets to be slim pickings for the balance of the Ozzy albums for me too, although I did like some of Black Rain and a few from Scream (I felt Gus G brought back a bit of Randy's style into some of the parts).
1) Diary Of A Madman 2) Mr. Crowley 3) Over The Mountain 4) Road To Nowhere 5) Miracle Man 6) Rock N Roll Rebel 8) I Don't Know 9) You Can't Kill Rock And Roll 10) Shot In The Dark
American special effects artist Greg Cannom, did the werewolf make-up for the Bark at the Moon video and album cover. Speaking of videos, maybe a Top 10 of rock videos that actually are great. :-)
Diary of a Madman is both my favorite Ozzy album and song! Number 2 favorite is probably Desire from No More Tears (my second favorite Ozzy album) Surprised you didn't care much for No More Tears, besides the first two tracks, I love that whole album. Don't care for Mr. Tinkertrain and I prefer the live version of I Don't Wanna Change the World. The rest of that album I love.
Almost anything from The Ultimate Sin or No Rest For The Wicked. All respect to Randy Rhoads artistry....I just think Jake & Zak just pushed Ozzy in new directions. For Ex. Miracle Man,Crazy Babies,Killer of Giants,Secret Loser - heavy metal beyond the dark imagery & classical formula.

most people don't know but Ozzy put 666 on the Diary of a Madman cover. Its on the white poster in the background and it is written in the three Greek letters in the original language

Pete "I've never heard a title track that I didn't love" Pardo LOL! Don't change brother! You remind me of my best friend from high school (god rest his soul). I miss that guy so much. He was killed in a head-on collision with an eighteen wheeler on his way back from Hammerjacks in '89.
Sorry for your loss.
Mine would be 1. Diary Of A Madman 2. Suicide Solution 3. You Cant Kill Rock & Roll 4. SATO 5. Believer 6. Bark At The Moon 7. I Don't Know 8. Steal Away The Night 9. Over The Mountain 10. Mr. Crowley
Please rank Ozzy albums. Thank you.
Flying high again is my fav ozzy song - the gr8 addicts relapse lament lol - he tried his best and failed - no use saying sorry its something i enjoy - flying high again!!! - gr8 performance by the band - randys playing is gr8 as always - the lyrics are full of regret - but acceptance of his situation - oh well what can i do / wry humour about relapsing - weve all been there ha ha
What about Perry mason. Great song.

7. Back on Earth
6. Slow Down
5. Shot in the Dark
4. Bark at the Moon
3. No More Tears

Tough decisions, but I'd have to include Waiting For Darkness, Centre of Eternity, Desire, Zombie Stomp, Perry Mason, Revelation in there somewhere.
I don't think there really is a terrible song off his first three albums. All solid.
In no particular order:
1) Tonight
2) Zombie Stomp
3) No More Tears
4) Suicide Solution (Live) (Tribute)
5) Miracle Man
6) Revelation (Live) (Tribute)
7) The Ultimate Sin
8) Diary Of A Madman
9) I Don't Know
10) Mr Crowley (Live) (Tribute)
I just realized that I only have one Jake song which is crazy because he was my favorite Ozzy guitarist. How could that be?
1. Diary of a Madman
2. Mr. Crowley
3. Flying High Again
4. Bark at the Moon
5. Fire in the Sky
6. You Can't Kill Rock & Roll
7. Tonight
8. Mama, I'm Coming Home
9. Over the Mountain
10. Killer of Giants
Randy Rhoads Tribute album to me is by far the best album.
It was the first Ozzy record I got and there are multiple songs where I still like the live version over the studio version - I Don't Know and Flying High Again particularly.
@@neugey I prefer all versions over the studio versions because Ozzy sings really good and especially because Randy's live sound is a thousand times better.
The versions from the Tribute album are better. They have more of that raw energy
Gotta stop and watch your video before my honorable mention list gets any longer!
10 - Crazy Train
9 - Mama I’m Coming Home
8 - Killer of Giants
7 - Revelation (Mother Earth)
6 - Bark at the Moon

Next Q & A- Do you have any opinion or reviews of the current Rock/Metal groups that have recorded new material in the 2010’s? Some on my playlist Dream Child, Revolution Saints, Dead Daisies, Ghost, and Rival Sons. Keep up the great videos!
Please post this on the Q&A video comment section
You should do a top 10 RJD video, including work with Rainbow, Sabbath and Dio!
First two albums
1) Diary Of A Madman
2) Mr. Crowley
3) Over The Mountain
4) Road To Nowhere
5) Miracle Man
6) Rock N Roll Rebel
8) I Don't Know
9) You Can't Kill Rock And Roll
10) Shot In The Dark
Zombie Stomp would be in my top ten.
I always wondered what S.A.T.O. stands for. My guess is Sail Away To Oz.
Sailing Across The Ocean
It’s Sharon Arden Thelma Osbourne (Ozzy‘s 1st wife was called Thelma)
Kurt kinda looks like John Prine. :) Both good lists, guys. I've always been partial to the Jake E. Lee albums.
Can you rank Ozzy's solo albums?
Yeah, Pete please do that and then Black Label Society. I'm so curious
