This had me feeling nostalgic. I had forgotten how big a part of my life SNL was when I was a teenager. Tina Fey had already left the show in 2006, and her coming back for so many guest appearances in 2008 felt like a righteous return. She was always the smartest, funniest part of the show. Nowadays, I still enjoy SNL, but I do get the feeling that the target audience is a little younger and a little more Brooklyn-y than me.
The fact that the words "Sarah Palin" immediately conjure up an image of Tina Fey says enough about her legacy. What a legend. Much love Tina, thanks for all the laughs
The Reagan joke was not brilliant and more of an outlook about how lefty SNL can be, and also disrespecting one of the greatest presidents of all time.
Yeah, thats the thing about comedians that come from improv, they're so much better when they have a hand to hold because thats what improv is all about and jokes come up easier when you have someone else's creativity and ideas to be inspired by too :)
