Hi Simon. Yep that's right. Ours was tax exempt as it was an ambulance on the V5 so we had to fill in a form to register as plg. It was also class 7 for MOT but once registered as a motor caravan dropped down to a class 4

Don't worry. Are you going to start converting it right away? If so then you can find campervan insurers who will give you time to convert it from a van to a camper. I would insure it as a panel van as minibus insurance is very expensive. Especially as DVLA has it listed as a panel van.

To be honest he didn't say so I'm not sure. It was good though and felt nice too. Its Raptor paint and from a quick search it seems like it is rolled on.
It is a lovely colour and blends in very well when he parks up on a stealth camp. Not only is the colour nice but the paint is very tactile. Thanks for watching.

Same van as mine, could you send me a link to where you got the double seat swivel from. Know there are a few on Ebay but not sure of the fit, so a recommendation would be invaluable.
Hiya Jeff. It's not our van sorry. It is just one that we looked around. To be honest we were considering using Raptor on ours but when we did research on it we heard so many horror stories that we gave up on the idea. Sorry we cant be of more help.
@@Jeffbeasly11 quite a few people we spoke to said that within a few months the paint had begun to peel away, especially in hot weather. As soon as one bit started to peel rain would get in to where it peeled and get under the raptor and pull more away. We heard the same thing from 5 different people. I know the same had started to happen on the van in this video too. It is a shame as we do like the finish
Hello, I just found this, so have made a YT FILE , couple of questions low as though,,you did the conversion, wha about insulation, and your water tanks love the colour, sort of looks like UKMILITAY, seeing the ‘snorkel ‘means it’s diesel,,engine size,,manual ? I found the reason the drivers seat does NOT SWIVEL, is because where the park brake is, tell me are the FORD THAMES TRANSIT , still being made ?I know them, only because I came from an ex colony, Good luck, and CHEERS from NJ, USA
Hi I haven't done any files on building my camper sorry. It's full kingspan insulation and recycled plastic wool insulated . This is a 2006 mk6 transit they dont make any more now on mk8 transits in UK. Swivel seats work on this van I have a double seat swivel base. I didn't need drivers seat to swivel due to lay out.

They ve sent men to the moon so anything else is quite simple. Yes, 6speed is possible, but you have to use the shifting gate of your serial 5speed gear box. Next: the 6speed has no speed indicator, all driven by can bus since 2006. I took out the original detector ring and mounted it outside on the right hand drive shaft - including sensor. Works since 2 yrs

It's more against scratching it's a tough paint used on 4x4 trucks originally designed for truck beds to stop scratching when putting stuff in the pack of pickups

It was sprayed on you buy the spcial air gun with paint of Ebay. So simply to paint

Transit vans are great,but over here in NewZealand,down under,they all rust out badly espeicaly round the pillars and windscreens.
