- All the training for the 2019 Tour de France has been done. All the preparation is complete. On July 1, Tejay van Garderen and Mike Woods of EF Education First did one last big ride to test their condition.
With their teammate Taylor Phinney pacing them on an e-bike, Woods and van Garderen did a six-hour day with three big climbs, finishing on top of the Rocacorba, a 14km, 2,591ft/790m stinger.
Allen Lim, PhD, is there coaching and supporting from the car. Come along for the ride.

I think EF is slowly becoming my favourite team in the peloton
I loved all of this. Very impressed with all aspects of it.
This is great, I love Taylor on the e-bike! Can't wait to watch the boys race again soon. Also, best kits in the peloton.
Love the tee 👌🏻
Well, that didn’t work. Hey TJ, come in man!
Umm “Taylor Phinney on e-bike“
Tank on the tank....
How can the e bike sustain the motor for so long? Do they change batteries every 30 minutes ?
I think the top level ones can sustain 250 watts for over an hour, obv having a pro rider on it helps.
I like rice too (heart emoji)
Judging by their Tour performance so far, they need to find some other marginal gain.
You wont lose weight eating those Damn frozen burritos. I know.
I want his rice cooker shirt
and his rice hat
and those sunglasses
Great Video, Rim Brakes! No Discs, for climbing 600 gram weight penalty! Rim is better than Disc, less maintenance and physical exertion!
6.8kg penalty. Any modern bike can reach that disc or no disc. As for riders, believe me they don't give a fuck. Only poser amateurs like us sit here on youtube argue about disc vs rim.
Ive only got rim brakes on carbon tubs. The heat on descending softens the glue and the tub can slip round and tear at the valve. Gives me something extra to think about at the etape.
Is that an EU legal ebike?
E-bike... the only way Taylor do a good training
My wife also said, " if I ever see you wearing a pink jersey and helmut, you'll never hear the the end of it " 'nough said.
