In great sadness, great music provides such incredible emotional support, as grief gives way to release and forward momentum. The Crommelyncks and Schubert left us legacies beyond their shortened lives. God gives music for many purposes, but in grief, it speaks when no voice can reach. Thank you for this posting!!

Another great choice! What wonderful playing, thank you for sharing.
I had never heard of these performers before, so I looked at their biography on wikipedia. How sad to realise that their lives ended so tragically, just a few months after recording their third Schubert CD. We are fortunate that they left us some great recordings like this, but it's a shame they went so soon.

Actually, I would like to thank first to the authors of the comments posted.
Just by means of them I got to know the Crommelyncks.
And, I searched them on Google. If anyone thinks of the same, after reading these lines, I do recommend them to be ready for a crushing shock as to what happened to them.
Thank you for posting these heritage recordings.

It’s so true what you’ve written about reviving a long since neglected art form. At a young age, I was very fortunate to hear the Paratore brothers (Anthony and Joseph) perform. It was my first experience of how a duo can produce a beauty that exceeds the sum of its parts!
This recording is the epitome of that.

The Dutch Brothers, Lucas and Arthur Jussen, are two of the best young duettists I have ever heard, If you've not listened to them, they play a number of these Schubert works. There's a delightful duet with a very young Lucas playing Marche Militaire with Lang Lang if you hunt. The pair is improving and maturing steadily and deserve their fame.

O google translate me ajudará.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Another marvel of our 'garimpeira' Classic Music. He had not heard such a beautiful interpretation for a long time. Thanks.
Garimpeiro "is the name given here in Brazil to men and women who boldly venture in search of gems or gold.
And there is the perplexity of how this divine musical couple wasted of life in such a tragic end. There is no condemnation, just pain.
There is a basilian writer, from my land, Minas Gerais, who would say:
"Life is ungrateful in the soft of itself; but the hope of even the middle of the gall of despair. To what, this world is very mixed "...
Very difficult to translate to another language (although it has been translated many other languages), as there is a strong Brazilian cultural language.
