Ditto! I am not a father, but I was in tears of joy for this girl, and can imagine how awesome proud that dad must be of his daughter!
Me too. I LOVE the word stumbling! They just can't seem to express themselves. The word most overused; "what," and rightfully so. This reaction is one of my favorites.

Yes!! Me too. This was one of those rare moments when we witnessed something spectacular. My immediate reaction was that Janis Joplin had come back to life. This month, Courtney's invited to be part of "Woodstock 50." She will be on the same stage as a few of the original Woodstock performers who appeared in August 1969, thirty-five years before Courtney was born! Janis was there, too, and in her honor I REALLY hope Courtney sings "Piece of My Heart."
Unfortunately Woodstock 50 was cancelled two weeks ago by Michael Lang. He released Courtney too late for her to schedule anywhere else. She had a 45 minute set scheduled for Aug 17. I hope she can get in at Bethel Woods yet this year.
@@dabouras That's terrible. I heard off-again-on-again reports months ago but thought the event would actually happen. What a shame. Bethel Woods has a few original Woodstockers on the schedule this year. Wouldn't it be great if one of them invited her for a surprise guest performance! Pat Benetar's there on 8/25, and (although she missed the original event by a few years) is one of the founding mothers of female rockers. As a VERY young female performer, Courtney could use a mentor like Pat or Stevie Nicks.
She didn't win AGT but many people including myself believe she should have won. I have yet to see a video of her covers that I didn't love, frankly most are better than the originals. Its like she was born to sing. Some of the in studio and live performance vids on line begin when she was 9 or 10 years old and are truly amazing, right up through her even more impressive cover releases of a few days ago at age 15. She is recording an album at present that I can't wait for and I'm hoping there is a concert tour near me to go along with it. Have fun checking out some of her other performances I think you'll enjoy them.

Courtney doesn't just sing the song, she performs it, she is the reincarnation of the era I grew up in. She is a great artist vocal and movements as well.
I love watching Courtney's AGT debut - so great to see her rocking out and finding her audience, both on AGT and on RUclips. Great watch !!

I agree with you in that her facial expressions and dance moves reminded me of Mick Jagger. She also very soulful and I can’t believe she didn’t win that season. She’s definitely a one of a kind talent.
She is 15 now and signed to Syco/Arista record labels. Simon is the one that signed her. She had been scheduled to appear on the second day of Woodstock 50 before it was cancelled. She has been recording an album for the past several months. In the meantime she has put out a couple of covers on Vevo. She is improving.

Besides all of the superlatives one can use about Courtney's performance in this audition, what always blows me away to think about it...the whole song is only 90 seconds! Talk about pressure and she nailed it

Her nerves were real. Courtney's performance was postponed twice due to stomach butterflies. She feared red buzzers because of her unconventional style.

Well it went on for hours, then days ... it's been about a week now & I am convinced it will nevet stop making me smile, laugh, dance in my seat, beam with pride, cry with joy, cry with happiness and hope - how wonderful life is now she is in the world 👌

I didn't sleep at all 😮😪🤪❤👍😄👌 after randomly surfing the tube! I haven't felt this way since early Beatles, Led Zepplin, Deep Purple, Janis Joplin of course, Beach Boys - if it was a record I'd have worn it out before dawn. I didn't think I could EVER feel this again 🤗🥰🙏

I'm 64 going on 15 lol. Wow! Now I DO want to live to 100, to see you rock Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, actually just about anyone and everyone whatever era! She is like a whole new instrument. It's always neat to see a first time reaction to Courtney from over a year ago. Some of the comments I see are from folks new to me (but also some long time Courtney fans) since they apparently have been following you before, and I haven't (will watch for you now, though, especially when you react to Courtney). Your reaction was great and like millions of others. Courtney had over 200 million views--more than any other AGT act--before even her 2nd performance on AGT (of Papa's Got a Brand New Bag). There are a lot of good young singers but none is as special as Courtney who is about to hit the big time with a new album. You can find videos of her from age 10 to having just turned 15 and watch her progression. She has a unique style and an "It" factor that is hard to define. The 1st recent cover on her VEVO channel of a more contemporary song got over a million views in about 3 weeks, and her 2nd one is approaching a million after only a week. Rarely will you see a contestant on one of the talent shows go on to international stardom like Courtney will. You cannot go wrong reacting to Courtney!

Angelina Jordan won a golden buzzer in 202O AGT and her performance one of the best in the history of AGT, the best singer in the world.
She was good she is a rock star

Probably hinting that someone better hit it... note that two judges have been replaced. Personally I think Heidi was replaced because she refused to golden buzzer Courtney in Champions.

Courtney wasn't a complete beginner here. She had been on The Voice Kids UK about 8 or 10 months earlier and made it to the finals. Her audition there went a bit strange because since the judges couldn't see her perform and just heard her vocals, she was at a bit of a disadvantage and only one judge turned his chair around. Once she redid her performance so they could watch, the other judges admitted they regretted not turning their chairs around. Courtney has said she didn't feel like the British people didn't get what she was doing and she thought America would understand better, so that is why she and her Dad came to America's Got Talent. As for her dance moves, she's a big fan of 1960s artists like Tina Turner and James Brown. She's worked at learning James Brown's dance moves and it inspires her on stage.

The reason the judges didn't turn on vioce kids was when she started singing they thought they were at a concert only Danny managed to break the spell and turn his chair pixie lot was totally lost in the performances

I'm shocked I missed this reaction of yours. I thought I caught them all and I was going to tell you that you missed one of the best ones. But I missed your best one. There are so many more earlier videos of Courtz. You caught one or 2 of them, but too many to list that are still yet to be seen by you. And well worth it, they are. Even 2 or 3 more on AGT. Her last 4 covers are great and can be thought to be her best so far., but to see her roots really help understand how she has gotten to this point. The girl is going to be a mega star one day. She's just getting started now. Her big changes are coming in the next few years. It's hard to believe she can only get better. But most young artists find another level within themselves where she's at right now. We are lucky to be a witness to the next big talent in the entertainment field. Some people think fans like me are just over reacting. But I don't. She's just got it. She has all the right professional people backing her up. It going to be huge when it happens. Maybe as soon as the next few months.

You mentioned the look on her face. I saw that too a while back and paused any video she did randomly just to see if she ever just looks straight faced like most singers do. But I couldn't find one still shot of her without any of the passion. She always has some feeling showing in her facial expressions when she's on stage. Just amazing.
I love watching reactors predict what they're going to see before they see it since they're usually wrong. Will and you know how we gave her the golden buzzer but she is now working with Simon on an album. She learned her dance moves off of RUclips watching James Brown and some other performers that I can't remember
She practiced turning herself into Janis Joplin the Janus is the only other person that ever could sing that way

@Humbled Mumbles I have to compliment you on something here. I understand you have to pause the video to avoid copyright strikes. When other RUclipsrs do this , they will just start the video back right where they paused and it disrupts the flow of the video. This may seem minor to some people but it's really a pet peeve of mine to see this happen.
You don't do that. You recognize the flow would get disrupted. So every time you pause, you bring the video back a little before restarting, to allow that flow and feel to be maintained. Thank you. Liked and subscribed.

Howie Mandel later declared in a private radio talk ( ruclips.net/video/i3WRa4mvyKw/видео.html from minute 1.47) that the girl was so tense behind the stage that they had to postpone her performance by passing two other competitors before her. At the end of video Simon emphasizes two attitudes before and during her performance and this has a new meaning in light of what Howie later revealed. Nice reaction, welcome on Courtney world.
