What a battle. Thanks for the inspiration Dan, always bringing out my best, or worst skating depending on how you see it 😂
Mostly the worst 💕
Considering your naturaly precise style, I think this is the hardest thing I've seen you attempt. Sliding a round edge on a round rail. Much respect.
I don’t see many bs 5-0 front shuv out on flat bars
How are you not pro yet? C'mon skate companies wake TF up!
This vaguely reminds me of one of my favorite tricks I hardly ever see. Popping the board vertical and balancing it on the popping foots toes/top-foot (balancing broomstick style?) Then go to the next trick?, tranfser?, combo? from that. Edited a video in of me trying it for context. ruclips.net/user/shortslYOW1303euk?feature=share
Zach is one of the most consistent active skaters today. Someone needs to make him pro ASAP
His style is ass cheeks. Like worse than nyjah
It will be the most hilariously tragic thing if Dan gets a board before Zach
I don't think it works this way nowadays.
Dont worry dans not gonna get a board
@@theowainwright7406 I don't think I'd back the argument that Dan will have a custom deck out before Zach but I don't know why someone would count him out all together. I get that skill plays a large part of why someone would have a custom deck put out but I'd argue that a skaters likeability might play as large a role in that final decision. Board companies want to put out products that will sell, like any other business the ultimate goal is to make money. Dan is very likeable, he's very much rooted within the skate community, he's a talented skater and his board would most likely sell well and the sales will only increase with the growth of his channel and popularity.
I feel like this is one of those tricks that skaters will think about like "That would be sick I'd love to see someone do that" and then realize it's so close to impossible that it's not really worth trying. Thank you for being the first to finally humour my curiosity! Took me like an hour to get one in True Skate lmao
A lot of the tricks today were "impossible and not worth trying" back in the 90s. There will come a time someone will casper down a handrail. You'll see lol
Favorite dudes to watch on RUclips. I love y'all whole crew. Keep up the excellent work.
I shall do my best
@@DanCorrigan OMG DAN CORRIGAN REPLIED TO MY COMMENT!! *SCREAMS LIKE A GIRL*
Zach is the prototype of the skater that i dream i could become, an absolute class act
You know Zach is super focused and eliminates unnecessary things out of his life. Like Steve Jobs, and Zuckerberg. Wear the same outfit everyday.. Either that, or he only has a P n P mechanic shirt. Lol
I’m not gonna lie. I saw the thumbnail and headline and literally said not possible and clicked on it! Wow though I’m wrong I’m wrong! Personal belief outweighs disbelief every time!
Zach's insane. I can't even imagine the level of precision needed to pull that off..
a dream trick that I hope to see someone do in my lifetime is a casper slide down a handrail on a stairset. Insane difficulty level, but with the insane progression we have seen I feel like someone could do it. An intense level of precision is required like nothing else I would say
Zach is so consistent with his bag of tricks. Its awesome seeing him learn this. Also awesome seeing you guys film together.
I love how he just casually does an NBD trick, lands it, and just keeps it moving. Lmao
Not making excuses out here but it's noticeable that his foot still hurts. Thanks for the content and positive vibes, you're both awesome.
Zach skates like a video game. Solid as f
This human is an insane human...
I don't think I can imagine another Grind that I feel more scared of, barring the Round Rail being down a flight of Stairs.
It would have to be a thick rail, but I've always wanted to see a primo slide on a rail.
yeah or a full slide on like a quarter pipe, not one of those stalls
watch 20mins 35 seconds to 20 mins 50 seconds if you dont have 20 mins to waste on watching practices. amazing stuff zach. that was awesome
Thank you for this lol I didnt know how to implement using a casper in Session and this shows me the way 😅 Im a new skater at 34/35, in partial thanks to Session, other skaters and videos like yours, Dan. Always had the lifelong ambition to wanna skate, due to my environment I thought it was "impossible". But thank you for showing wars in your videos. To see good skaters struggle to learn things has helped me realized that skating is all about progression and pushing yourself to the next level, always and that everyone "starts somewhere" and we all struggle to learn new shit. Thank you a million
Skated daily from 7-16, and off and on for like five years after that. Hadn’t skated for a couple years and started up a bit for a couple months last year. My ankles are just wasted now. Sprains fractures breaks both ankles several times over. So the older and longer I don’t skate the more my ankles just don’t bend and snap the way they should. The one trick that got away from me was a regular lazer, I guarantee I’ve tried it over ten thousand times and countless hours. I got fakie lasers a few times and for a bit I had fakie big heels decent. My advice to kids still young and up and coming, have confidence in everything you try. If you have the confidence you will land it. Just found your channel and I really wanna try and see how I’d do just going back into the park
Just when i thought i couldn't like Dan anymore, he mentions Arcade Fire, what a ledge!
So sick. Can’t wait to see the other attempts. I was almost thinking Zach could do the same thing but more back tail.
That's one of the wildest tricks I've ever seen! I also enjoyed the impromptu Casper Flip Footplant midway through the video
Same! And he kept landing the foot plant thing. Dudes too good
How does this comment not have likes a d comments galore?
Dan, just found your channel a few days ago. This video solidifies why I wanted to keep watching your channel. The way you think about the body weight and the physics behind every trick is the same way I look at skateboarding. I've been skating for 22 years and the biggest thing I've come to learn with all the slams is it's mainly all about how you position your body weight and carry it on top of this piece of wood with four wheels. Keep posting. This content is gold.
What Zach said at the end about bein angry tryin tech shit is so true. I was a very very angry boy. I think it is when it goes right a few times then 30 try later its all over the place and it makes you second guess things instead of just evaluating or chillin for a minute. The energy I've wasted on time and stress. I for me got way to worked up. Like if it didn't happen that day. Id be so miserable confused on why. Backlip opp 270s and regular front tail 270s. Never did 1. Used to drive me insane
So happy he landed it! Way to go Zach!!! BADASSERY good motivation Dan, way to keep him going. Shred4Life
So rad he did it in one session
Btw big congratz on 90K+ Dan!🥳 almost feel og being the first 15k😘 #danspeople
I've always wanted to see this except Imagined it looking more like a casper tail slide
It would have to be on a ledge, but...
my God, that would be a mind melter for sure if someone rolled away from that one. it's hard enough to slide casper going straight, let alone trying to balance that going sideways with no way to lock in on the ledge
@@peazeralus a casper blunt slide could work on a round rail. like if you went really fast slapping the tail on the bar, and using the front foot as more of a stabilizer than a counterweight. i feel like it could be easier, but at the same time it would have to be on a pretty low rail to get onto it. or maybe just take a really sharp angle
I think Chris is crazy enough to do it also. The shaped boards he uses would probably give him an edge, the flat tail or maybe varial kick and catch it with the nose since it has no upturn for his foot to slip out of. An old soggy board with a flat tail with worn out pop would probably be an ideal board for just this trick 😆
Noooooooooooooooooo wayyyyy that just happened just watched it all landed!!!! Wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dude congrats that was a battle props to you for that heading over to your channel man!
I think it's great that we live in a time where we can document everything and vlog about it, imagine being able to capture the creation of tricks 30-40 years ago.
I was watching 9club's video where Steve Caballero explain how he invented de Caballerial and that's great story, and we have a photo sequence of that but imagine a 20 minutes vlog about the whole process of making that tricks over a mounth.
Anyway, that was insane to watch !! Congrats!!
You are the most relatable sk8 tuber I love your commentary. Love your vids
Somethings changed dan, you’ve become quite likeable and im glad for you, you deserve to take better care of yourself too someone should tell you my bro 😎
So are we just not gonna talk about the groove he wore into the tail the actually created a lock in spot
Sshhh
once consistency kicks in he'll be in the tops. awesome skating
that first one that locked in shattered my grip on reality. it would be sick to try this with a groove in the back of the tail, I'm picturing like a v-shaped cut. perhaps you could slide it longer.
THANK YOU. YES. IVE BEEN SAYING THIS FOR YEARS. I EVEN MAILED BRAILLE A BOARD I CUT A V INTO AND THEY NEVER GOT BACK TO ME
Holy shit, what a battle. Watched every last second, this is the kinda thing that made me subscribe.
Damnn that was sick af. Good shit Zach! I remember seeing Chris Chann try this same trick at Westchester like 2 years ago
Oh man is it on one of his videos? I wanna see!
@@DanCorrigan Nahh I don’t think he landed it but he was sliding em. I just remember Holden was filming
That would be a good rail for it too dang.
That was crazy.. amazing.. I finally finished the video..
Seeing him get that close...he needs to keep trying. kinda like playing 14.1...got passed one goal, and damn close to the next goal. With enough persistence...I can see him landing this. You're right about the psychological part of it, after enough tries seems like it won't happen but enough reflection and constantly trying to figure out where one is going wrong.
Why would he keep trying when he landed it already at the end of the video
Trick analysis can go on for a while, when I was getting down the BS shove-it underflip, I was going through the same dilemma where i'd figure out ONE important step, but as I do THAT, i slowly lose grip on another important step lol. Slowly but surely, I tied it all together perfectly.
I’d say take an old deck with razor tail, smash the middle of the tail in on a rounded curb, then sand the notch out, and you have an end to end-round bar Casper slide board. 😅❤
Haha oh man that’s the move
Literally what they did here no??? Looks like that tail has been smashed in the middle for a notch of chance 😂
@@DanCorrigan like I said in my comments prior. I mailed braille a board YEARS ago. And prior to that I had been messaging pros on all manner of social media begging someone to try it and my messages never got read. The board I mailed braille I cut a V into the tail to create a groove for the rail to slide into. It would make this trick WAY easier. This is a trick I've dreamed of since I was 14 in 2005.
@@DanCorrigan watched this vid to the very end waiting for you mention thats what you did to make this trick possible and not a word. i can see it clear as day. then this comment pops up and you still dont admit it?? Still a great trick and some intense perseverance but the dishonesty ruined it for me.
Holy crap DAN THAT WAS WILD ILL SEE YOU guys at the garage
This is the trick I have been waiting for!!!
I want to see a 50-50 darkslide now
Congratulations on 90K subscribers
Thanks Ryan! Such a trip to me
@@DanCorrigan No Problem Bro!
Great album. old times.
I agree
Incredible Zack! Engineering (innovating) tricks like Rodney was talking about in his interviews.
That deserves a sub to Zachs channel. He's so casual about doing something super epic 😎
damn bro keep grinding out those grinds
Yes sir
Hell yeah dude I watch both you guys channels also NKA videos. Dam. Casper on a round bar still trying to wrap my mind around that lol
no clue what sport has alot of dedication Sept this... wait I kinda wouldn't know because all I really watch is skateboarding events and skaters online... I know more skaters and skate teams than football team player's 😂😂😂
Yaaaaaas 🎉
I joked about a primo grind on a rail a few years ago… maybe it is possible
I’ll get someone to try it at some point haha
i would never ask a friend to endanger their more capable ankles (than mine..or someone with a 'skate youtuber' presence) on a trick that would bring such little personal gratification OR for fast content. i'm glad he hung in there..but it's not even that incredible that it went down about 1.5hours of trying.
best in style i think zach
the last vid with june i said "if i dont see a casper slide i'll be disappointed" and u said "wait til monday's vid!"
i didnt expect it to not be from june or it to be on a rail, goddamn
I've been messaging pro skaters on social media sites for YEARS begging people to try this. I mailed braille a board I modified years ago with a one inch deep V cut into the tail hoping someone would try this with the idea that the round part of the tail will settle into the V like a groove. I never heard back from them... And I've emailed them repeatedly with no responses.
I feel like this trick would work better with a v cut into the tail. And it doesn't even have to be a 1 inch deep cut V. I'm sure it could be far more shallow. But it would help.
What a great concept. I wonder if it would be possible on something slick enough to do a casper slide backwards? with the contact point first. On a rail it might not dig in enough to catch
Zach is monster 😱 He has been for a hot minute but daaaaamn
I love how Dans mustache is always throwing up different gang signs
Haha i love how well both know andy 😁 makes for some fun convo-pieces
"This trick's classist" 😂😂😂😂
Did anyone notice that guy in the backround holding an infant around 15:35 looks like hes either waxing that downrail or seeing if his hoverboard would slide down it. either way hilarious with kid in hand
That truck backed up, and I thought there was someone screaming profanities at y’all, till the second beep got going 😅
Zach putting in work and sticking with it!
Sick vid as always! Much love guys.
I've been thinking about blunt like casper slides for years, but never considered actually trying it. This is as close to that as I've seen.
Damn dude good job thanks always the best stuff with Dan and friends
insane trick! Trick of the year for sure!
so cool, you gotz to wear a beanie.
😂 "can't wait for all of that work to go to nothing" RUTHLESS
I very much thought you were joking when you said casper the round rail in the last vid lol
Dan chit-chat? Nah, no way 😂
Zach you rock
dude funerals by arcade fire holy shit dan best album of the 2000
I thought this was clickbait until I watched it, still can't believe it.
LMAO that cop
Yo!!!! So hyped for you that was an amazing battle to watch
Kicklfip Truckstand Slide is the most regular technical trip on a rail
Kickflip Truckstand handstand slide would be the most technically possible trick
Duuuude guys you’re at my skatepark!!!!
What great insights at 14:00
Loving your videos, thank you!
Wowwww this was intense to watch 🤯👏🤙
Now let's see a primo grind on a round rail.
this is disgustingly insane lol
Amazing! 20:38
Nice
thanks for the 60fps, cause when I put at 0.25x speed it's smooth
No joke I broke my ribs on a rail doing a board slide literally the day this was filmed haha pulled it off the first time so went back cos it felt super gnarly then caught both my ankles on the rail and landed over it broke two ribs
Great trick though
No comply hospital 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Subscribed to Zach for sure. Glad I have a whole new channel to enjoi.
If you do it with soda shoes on you could grind a good distance
Dan... those eyes
this is wilddddd. deserves more views
So it’s like chubbs teaching happy to putt on the green you just gotta taaap it in, instead it’s you gotta fliiip it in, flip flip flipperoo
trick challenge - rocket bluntslide!
If this gets landed then skateboarding will once again out do itself and a whole bunch of Casper / dark grinds will get created. Who’s gonna do a front casper blunt 😂
this reminds me of my brief idea about doing a strawberry milkshake air in a bowl or on a quarter. in my mind its like a 6 foot vert ramp
If yon turn the Casper about 60 to 80 degrees and treat it like a back blunt I think it could be done well.. I mean I can’t but someone could..
Zach is FUCKIN STEEZY, gotta love this man🔥🔥🤣
For once the clickbait wasn’t actually clickbait 😂
Dan corrigan roasting my local POS without even knowing lol
Dumb precision!!! Good work.😄
