In reference to the clown ballerina :
In 1988 a sculptor chose to make it (before cvs was there) to show the ‘juxtaposition’ in the Venice beach area. So he put a clown head and a ballerina body, showing two sides of performance. As well as a male face and female body.
    I got you.

I'm only about 2/3rds of the way through this video, but this is such a memory trigger that I had to pause, and post this comment. I want to thank you for not only sharing this video, but also for capturing the footage in this video. My more hardcore years of skating were in the Midwest back in the '80s. Good skate spots were few and far between. Before any of my friends and I had cars, we would skate all over the place; from one city to the downtown area, over to an adjacent city's downtown, then over the river to another state, and another downtown area, to an industrial area, to yet another downtown area, back over the river, and then typically back to my place to clean up, fuel up, rest up, and decide what we would fill our night with . . . often, more skating! Skating a distance of 20 to 30 miles, round trip, plus all of the skating we did along the way, having a session at some of the better spots, was fairly typical for us back then. However, with skating through the streets that kind of distance it was still rare for us to come across a feature that was significantly halfway decent. Sure, we knew that one road over another provided less pebbles, and potholes, or that taking an alley to the right offered more features than staying on the residential street. Although we knew what route to take to maximize our skating experience, there wasn't many obstacles, or features, for us to incorporate into our skating. Nevertheless, no matter how insignificant a bank, or more often just a slant, may be, we still hit it . . . every little non-horizontal surface, every bump we could launch off of, every curb we could slappie grind, or simple trick off of, every little set of steps we could ollie down or acid drop, anything, driveway to driveway ollies thinking we were bombing some San Francisco downhill. We had to be creative when we skated if we actually wanted to feel as though we were skating and not just riding some 2 x 4 down the road with roller-skate wheels nailed on. We did not have much street terrain to skate, and in skating from one place to another, we had even less. When you have a cool feature to skate, or several decent features relatively close to each other, it typically would not require much thought, much creativity, to know what to do with them. Likely, you would have at least four different tricks you would want to try on the feature, or some variation of a trick that seemed perfect for that spot, or maybe a line to connect one feature, to another, to yet a third. Skating was nice when such a situation was available to us, which was rarely, and so when it was, it almost seemed as if we were being pampered. Usually, we had to stretch our brains somewhat in order to skate like we wanted. Of course, we could have been busting freestyle tricks the whole time while rolling down the street, but it wasn't doing tricks on top of the street that we sought to do, we wanted to skate the streets, to skate the terrain of the streets, and with our imaginative creativity we somewhat allowed the streets to dictate to us what feature to skate . . . because most of the time, we never had to decide between two different features, although the features we miniscule, we skated them as if they served no other purpose!
I thought I was going to say the following only about the opening scene of this video, but as I continued to watch, the essence of what was being shown on the screen remained the same, and two-thirds of the way through this video, I am still being triggered with memory recall of skating with my friends through the streets, with inspiration from recently watching The Bones Brigade Video Show, we skated the best we could, with what we had available to us. We didn't have much, yet we were still able to derive a tremendous amount of enjoyment from skating, and I don't know if those moments of my youth could have been spent in any other better way as far as great memories go! This video brought some of that nostalgia back for me, so thank you for that! For today, I doubt many skaters at all, even in our home town area, skate in a manner quite like we did.
