Great song? Cmon? It's embarrassing at best. All the rolling around on the floor? Looked like 10 year olds infront of a mirror in their bedroom pretending to play.
Funny to think about how Axl wasn’t Famous yet in this Video....there are so many Bands who never make it. But Two of the People in this Video Became Crazy Famous a few Years Later......Imagine being there back then! Like that Girl on the Floor next to the Door.
At this point in his life, I wonder whether Axl had any incline that Appetite For Destruction would soon be on the horizon? It's great to experience the road traveled of such a formidable band. Gun's N' Roses fan until the day I die
Yes, it was, Axl here was just 20 years old here, just starting to experiment with his voice. Izzy once said that Axl started singing the way he sang in Guns N' Roses after forming the band, it was at one of the first GNR rehearsals that he changed his singing. So in Hollywood Rose sang differently from her days of fame.
This is not Hollywood Rose, this is just "Rose" (Axl, Izzy [lead & rhythm guitar], Chris Weber [lead & rhythm guitar], Johnny Kreiss [drums] & Rick Holland [bass].) Hollywood Rose came later, if you check Rose Flyers from some of their shows at the troubadour you'll se some pictures from this rehersal. Captured from that angle 2:57. This is from January 1984, beacuse their first flyer that used this picture was for a gig on 17th of January
Wow! I've listened to this a few times, loving it every time, but never thought of it that way. Now that I kind of isolate just the music in it, it REALLY DOES sound like that era of Priest!
First time I've ever heard this and it's AWESOME! Was thinking the same thing. Axl's voice almost sounds like King Diamond at times. This definitely could pass for what I call the "raw metal" sound of the early 80's! Cheers from Canada!
Wow! They move exactly like they do on the "Anything goes" video, so that one could think it's just a copy of that video, and on the "Anything Goes" video they sound exactly like the audio track of these "Anything goes Demo" clips, so that one could think it's just a copy of that audio track... how amazing is that!!!?? :)
This is really good quality of this video, but here they definitely do not play this song, but it's is great, anyway ... 'It's a video for 'Anything Goes'!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny shit, Axl wears the same jacket as at the 1988 concert Ritz on 'Nightrain'!!!!
Axl like not even trying to actually pretend to be singing in a mic. just headbanging. Of course this was before Richard Black of the Sharks (later known as Shark Island) taught him how to actually dance and move on stage properly.. :)
This is the longest cut of this video I have seen. Love watching them rock out. I can point out Axl. Is that Chris Weber? I'm pretty sure that is Chris Weber. Is that Johnny Kreis on drums? And is Izzy in there? I know at one point Izzy left the band and joined London. The band went through tons of lineup changes, so it is hard to tell with this video. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks for posting this.
