I make my own oil cleanser by mixing almond and jojoba oils together, I have never had an issue washing off the make up and sunscreen - and it's so much less expensive!

I bring all my serums and night creams to my eye area and don't always use a dedicated eye cream. However, there are a couple that I love...one is Keihls Creamy Avocado Eye Treatment and the other is Clarins Total Eye Lift Concentrate. A more affordable one I am interested in trying is by Sukoyaka Suhada. Hope this helps!

I've been using Tatcha Cleansing Oil for years - but I'd like to switch things up...before finding the Tatcha, I had tried several cleansing oils that had too much detergent in them and left my skin feeling stripped. Do you find the Hada Labo oil stripping at all? Would love to give it a try for slip for my morning facial massage since oils are really hard to take off lol!

I explained it there...but in a nut shell, I sold my house to downsize a few years ago, and my Aunt's little rental cottage happened to be available. So I move in thinking it would be for a few months until I found a town house or condo...and I felt so happy here I never left. It's been almost 4 years and I am still loving it. After years of home ownership, I am enjoying the freedom of renting. Yes, it is tiny...but it is filled with sunshine, I can see the sunrise over the lake every morning, and I am surrounded by birds and beautiful gardens. So I tried a bottle of the urea toner and maybe I got a bad batch from Amazon but honestly did feel it did much. I just switched to the Paula's Choice Enriched Calming Toner oh my goodness. So much better. Maybe you should give it a try this winter. And maybe I will try the urea toner again.

Yes I think the lips get forgotten about, I use a lip balm before bed and leaves them feeling pretty soft. Thank you! Retinol and RetinA are both vitamin A derivatives snd can help build collagen. RetinA is stronger but can be irritating. It just depends on what your skin will tolerate.
Good questin! And while I do have a couple brands I lean into such as DRMLGY and Curology/Agency...I enjoy exploring too much to commit LOL. Although I do have one friend who likes to keep it simple. She uses ALL the Agency products including their new SPF. And that's all she uses!

Thank you Elaine! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I always double cleanse, even on no makeup days. I use mineral sunscreen every single day and it can be surprisingly hard to remove...it really does require a thorough double cleanse. And my serums are pretty consistent as well. Having said that, I do observe and "listen" to my skin. If for any reason my skin is feeling irritated, I may skip my RetinA a night or two, but generally my routine is pretty consistent. ❤️

Regarding the Revitalash…don’t place it on your lids, instead place at the base of your lashes (on the lashes). I can see this is causing darkness on your lids. Im not sure if that can be reversed. Much love💕

Goku Jyun HadaLabo moisturizing “lotion” (very liquidy) at the beginning of my skin care, Q10 (I use it in the morning), prescription RetinA, Acure night cream (in winter I use it as a serum so I add another cream or an oil) and the City Beauty (when not on sale, I use Laneige)
No, it should not burn or sting at all. Either you are sensitive to something in the product or your moisture barrier is impaired. Wind burn, sun burn, extreme temperatures, over exfoliating, too many actives can all impair the skins moisture barrier. One of the first symptoms of an impaired moisture barrier is even gentle “non irritating” products an sting your skin. Def stop using anything that stings your skin and observe your skin closely for any ongoing signs of irritation. If your moisture barrier is impaired you will need to super simplify your skin care until it heals itself.

You may like The Ordinary Amino Acids with B5 if you ever need to replace the Urea Lotion with an easier to find product. I have used both and the Ordinary Amino Acid B5 is also liquidy and amazing for hydration.
I have recently started using Curology (weak to start). I noticed you are using other products on top. Have you had a reaction from doing this? Are there "good" or "bad" products /serums to use with Curology?
How exciting to be starting Curology! Especially when you are starting out, keep your skin care super simple and avoid products with irritation potential such as acids...even L'ascorbic acid can be irritating. The CoenzymeQ10 I used is super soothing and gentle and hydrating. Stick with gentle hydrating products and you should be fine. Curology subscription includes access to ask your dermatology professional questions so when in doubt shoot her (or hime) and email...I have found them to be super helpful.
Hi Mary Jean! No issues...I do the LED before the RetinA. Cleanse, Maysama, LED, retinA, CoQ10 and night cream. A couple times a week I do an e go listing AHA mask and on those nights I skip RetinA for sure.

Great video Tamara. After cleansing I absolutely cannot be without Secret Key galactomyces. Gives the skin a polished look and everything else I apply after sinks in so much easier. After that at night I use vitamin c then tretinoin. Few nights a week I start my routine with green tea toner (maysama out of stock at mo) and then use my aduro. Then secret key etc. One night a week I use the ordinary aha\bha peel and follow with a long list of hydrating toners etc. I'm loving The Inkey List's Vit b, c and e moisturiser right now and if I get peeling from tret I use purito's controls recovery cream - little miracle in a tube. V hydrating and helps cuts heal faster. We have a new kitten who loves playing but sharp claws so I can absolutely vouch for the speedy healing. Thanks for sharing. Big hugs from Ireland

I am so interested in the curology. After the trial month how much is it a month? I just want to make sure it’s affordable. It replaces so many things I am hoping I can afford it.
First month free includes the treatment cream, cleanser and moisturizer. There are a couple of levels of subscription. For 29.99 a month you they will supply treatment cream, cleanser and moisturizer. Even though I like the cleanser and moisturizer, I have my own which I like better so I opt to only receive the treatment cream which brings the cost down do 19.99ish a month. It has definitely helped me simplify...I was able to eliminate my separate Tranexamic acid serum altogether which is a huge saving. The other things I love is they can adjust the formula easily which is really helpful when just starting with Tret. And the Dermatology provider is always available for questions. One of my girlfriends loves the full program so she does the $29 a month one. Hope this helps!
Thank you! I would think the peptide Night Cream would work for combo skin. Of course, I can’t speak from personal experience, but Abbey Yun is a younger gal who has a channel here, she has combo skin and she loves it. I think all skin types benefit from extra hydration at night and the peptides are great for all skin types. You might also like the Acura Radically Rejuvenating whipped night cream which is a little less rich but also loaded with peptides.

Great video, I’ve been using the sukoyaka urea for a couple years and also love it but was so frustrated not being able to find it anymore so I tried a couple other hydrating toners but they didn’t measure up and came across one from Laneige called cream skin toner and the reviews were great so I tried and immediately went to Sephora and bought it, it’s more hydrating than the Sukoyaka and my dry skin loves it!
I can use strongest retin. A all over face and neck. I'm glad for that. Love you review. I do similar steps for my face. I'm way older, but love skin care. Thanks for your great videos.

So I tried a bottle of the urea toner and maybe I got a bad batch from Amazon but honestly did feel it did much. I just switched to the Paula's Choice Enriched Calming Toner oh my goodness. So much better. Maybe you should give it a try this winter. And maybe I will try the urea toner again.

Enjoyed watching your routine Tamara. I have to use a few more products up and then I want to try the Mad Hippie items, I know you love them! Yes I think the lips get forgotten about, I use a lip balm before bed and leaves them feeling pretty soft. I've been doing the same thing with my lash serum and placing it at the tip of my eyebrows, not sure if it's doing anything but I can hope, lol. Your skin is amazing! 🤗

Hi, Tamara ! I love your videos and they help a lot for my skin. I started using retinol 1% last year and now I'm on my tretinoin 0.05% . For anti-aging, which one is better retinol or tretinoin ? I heard tretinoin could make my skin tone be red .My skin type is sensitive-dry skin . Thanks
Thank you! Retinol and RetinA are both vitamin A derivatives snd can help build collagen. RetinA is stronger but can be irritating. It just depends on what your skin will tolerate.

Thank you Elaine! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I always double cleanse, even on no makeup days. I use mineral sunscreen every single day and it can be surprisingly hard to remove...it really does require a thorough double cleanse. And my serums are pretty consistent as well. Having said that, I do observe and "listen" to my skin. If for any reason my skin is feeling irritated, I may skip my RetinA a night or two, but generally my routine is pretty consistent. ❤️

You’re so beautiful! I love your lips you’ve got happy lips like you’re always smiling. If I was you I would dye my hair cause I think it would make you look much much younger. Look at Angie from hot and flashy she is 58 I think and she does her hair and makes her look like she is in her early 50s ( obviously not just her hair also skin treatments and Botox lol)
Regarding the Revitalash…don’t place it on your lids, instead place at the base of your lashes (on the lashes). I can see this is causing darkness on your lids. Im not sure if that can be reversed. Much love💕

So good! I use almost same products... Goku Jyun HadaLabo moisturizing “lotion” (very liquidy) at the beginning of my skin care, Q10 (I use it in the morning), prescription RetinA, Acure night cream (in winter I use it as a serum so I add another cream or an oil) and the City Beauty (when not on sale, I use Laneige)

Is the Mad Hippie supposed to feel kind of burny and make your skin red?
No, it should not burn or sting at all. Either you are sensitive to something in the product or your moisture barrier is impaired. Wind burn, sun burn, extreme temperatures, over exfoliating, too many actives can all impair the skins moisture barrier. One of the first symptoms of an impaired moisture barrier is even gentle “non irritating” products an sting your skin. Def stop using anything that stings your skin and observe your skin closely for any ongoing signs of irritation. If your moisture barrier is impaired you will need to super simplify your skin care until it heals itself.

Great question! And yes, the Triole C Night Cream is very compatable with RetinA because it does not contain L’Ascorbic Acid. The Vitamin C DERIVATIVES are no problem with Tret…in fact they are nice partners. Hope this helps!

You may like The Ordinary Amino Acids with B5 if you ever need to replace the Urea Lotion with an easier to find product. I have used both and the Ordinary Amino Acid B5 is also liquidy and amazing for hydration.

I have recently started using Curology (weak to start). I noticed you are using other products on top. Have you had a reaction from doing this? Are there "good" or "bad" products /serums to use with Curology?
How exciting to be starting Curology! Especially when you are starting out, keep your skin care super simple and avoid products with irritation potential such as acids...even L'ascorbic acid can be irritating. The CoenzymeQ10 I used is super soothing and gentle and hydrating. Stick with gentle hydrating products and you should be fine. Curology subscription includes access to ask your dermatology professional questions so when in doubt shoot her (or hime) and email...I have found them to be super helpful.

Hi Mary Jean! No issues...I do the LED before the RetinA. Cleanse, Maysama, LED, retinA, CoQ10 and night cream. A couple times a week I do an e go listing AHA mask and on those nights I skip RetinA for sure.

Thank you Kim! Yes, I have been using prescription RetinA most nights for close to 20years. For about the last 9 months I have obtained my prescription RetinA in my Customized Curology treatment cream. I use it 5 or 6 nights a week. Hope this answers your question! Thanks! 🥰

Great video Tamara. After cleansing I absolutely cannot be without Secret Key galactomyces. Gives the skin a polished look and everything else I apply after sinks in so much easier. After that at night I use vitamin c then tretinoin. Few nights a week I start my routine with green tea toner (maysama out of stock at mo) and then use my aduro. Then secret key etc. One night a week I use the ordinary aha\bha peel and follow with a long list of hydrating toners etc. I'm loving The Inkey List's Vit b, c and e moisturiser right now and if I get peeling from tret I use purito's controls recovery cream - little miracle in a tube. V hydrating and helps cuts heal faster. We have a new kitten who loves playing but sharp claws so I can absolutely vouch for the speedy healing. Thanks for sharing. Big hugs from Ireland

I am so interested in the curology. After the trial month how much is it a month? I just want to make sure it’s affordable. It replaces so many things I am hoping I can afford it.
First month free includes the treatment cream, cleanser and moisturizer. There are a couple of levels of subscription. For 29.99 a month you they will supply treatment cream, cleanser and moisturizer. Even though I like the cleanser and moisturizer, I have my own which I like better so I opt to only receive the treatment cream which brings the cost down do 19.99ish a month. It has definitely helped me simplify...I was able to eliminate my separate Tranexamic acid serum altogether which is a huge saving. The other things I love is they can adjust the formula easily which is really helpful when just starting with Tret. And the Dermatology provider is always available for questions. One of my girlfriends loves the full program so she does the $29 a month one. Hope this helps!

Thank you! I would think the peptide Night Cream would work for combo skin. Of course, I can’t speak from personal experience, but Abbey Yun is a younger gal who has a channel here, she has combo skin and she loves it. I think all skin types benefit from extra hydration at night and the peptides are great for all skin types. You might also like the Acura Radically Rejuvenating whipped night cream which is a little less rich but also loaded with peptides.

Great video, I’ve been using the sukoyaka urea for a couple years and also love it but was so frustrated not being able to find it anymore so I tried a couple other hydrating toners but they didn’t measure up and came across one from Laneige called cream skin toner and the reviews were great so I tried and immediately went to Sephora and bought it, it’s more hydrating than the Sukoyaka and my dry skin loves it!

I also started curology. I have used Trentinoin for a long time but never got past the dryness, super flakey and almost painful skin phase. I'm hoping the different emollient base as well as the other 2 ingredients will help. My "cocktail" is the same as yours. Cheers 🥂 😚

Over time it fell out of my regimen but recently discovered an affordable dupe-Isntree TW-Real BIFIDA Korean Face Collagen Ampoule on Amazon. Check out it’s ingredients! Wowza!
