With this particular build I agree. Only time I would do this is if I was running a massive radiator like a mo-ra or something like dual 480mm that wouldn’t fit inside
coolermaster np200p max is awesome, it comes with aio cpu watercooler and powersupply for 300$. one of my friends had it. i just went bulky and versitile with a NZXT H9.
I think Optimum Tech mentioned that the terra won't support for self contained waterloop. But you should check his channel as he made a full waterloop in a similar sized case which is just an ITX masterpiece
'defeats the purpose' yeah its not meant to support custom watercooling. If that rocks your boat GGF did an amazing system here which fits within the confines of the super small mini itx case ruclips.net/video/Ukh4M9Wkn78/видео.html. it is highly, no extremely compromised. This build in the terrai is all about 'eat your cake and have it too.' extremely high end hardware, performing at spec, quietly. If you don't want to see the rad box, extend the tubing put it under the desk. Sacrifices portability and practicality BUT its a hardline watercooled system so yeah... that was already out the window. its a work of flipping art. very much a panicle of why not? It doesn't need to make sense
@@shiddygaymer it's made for air cooled ITX, not water cooled. And with it being aircooled, it's actually very decent and highly recommended by a lot of reviewers

The "cheat" was definitely worth it and can be given a pass. This build is magnificent. The pastel teal with wooden accent, the silver fittings and tubes, exceptional.
It's really nice work, but IMHO defeats all the purpose of small sff build with Terra. Maybe some adaptation making the Terra taller with 240mm radiators on bottom and top would work well with some distro plate for the sides, but I guess that there is better SFF cases for this :).
I always watch your videos on full screen to take it all in. The editing was on point along with the build. Down the the music and screws being removed together.. details are always carefully planned .. awesome.
I was wondering how are you going to solve watercooling in this case but the last thing I expected was to build another case for it... Hard to call it SSFPC at this point, although kudos for good execution.
Having the radiators cooled in a separate external case defeats the purpose of having a sff case like this fractal. Might as well go with a case with higher volume and can fit everything into it
Kind of I think the better idea is to run the lines across the room or to a different room in the house so you just have the Terra on your desk and the radiator somewhere else. I personally would just go for a MORA or similar to get max cooling.
If the "cheat" was just tubes going into the nether and we never see the rads then it wouldn't be a great build. But the external cooling is executed so incredibly well that I'm actually considering copying you. This is absolutely gorgeous. Well done!
I realize your options were super limited, but having that giant exterior radiator tower defeats the whole design philosophy of the terra. Thing looks like its on dialysis
In his case, it is like a dialysis machine that pumps blood, but doesn't clean blood at all: he messed up fans; the fans push air from both sides of the radiator.🤦♀ The fans effectively cancel out each other. The fans will scream, but the CPU will be throttled anyway.
I see the beauty and need for this design. Personally, I'd keep the pc next to me for the admiration of it, but with longer hoses, I'd put the radiators on the other side of a wall so can't see or hear a thing.
I can't take away the awesomeness of your builds including this one but this exposes the weakness of the Terra. The limited room within that chasis for Fans/Radiator etc is why this case, too me, is only really built for air cooling. Everyone seems to be going crazy over this case when the FormD T1 has been out for a couple of years now including the latest version which provides many more options in configurations etc. If ya ask me, only the wood look is what's nice about this case, outside of that, there are much better options. Outside of my opionion here on the case itself, the build is amazing!
you are a genius! the external rad enclosure fitting with the case is true art! I just finished a Sff build with an rtx 4090 and my slim 30x240 rad is clearly not enough… how do you make your plastic pieces for passtrough fittings? 3d print?
wondering when can we see the mods in depth video? especially keen to see how you put the cover in front of the fans as I m looking to buy one for my build, I have a compressor to cool my sytsem now but bit too noisy. cheers
Yes!! This was why I wanting to know about mixing fluids, trying to match or get close to the wood tone. I’ve seen bourbon theme PCs with clear brown fluid that doesn’t look awful. I like the quick connect tube connector and sleeving. I was wanting to have that look but instead of stainless steel in all black or black stainless steel. This is truly awesome though, love the green and wood and you staining the accent, you’re definitely giving me some ideas! The reservoir is going to be the biggest pain in the north though, I like the water box with this though
amazing, this is the style of builds im in for sure. one Q, why the WC pipe conection its vertical in one case and horizontal in the otrher case? sry my OCD
I’d love to see a video going into more detail about the builds modifications. I love the case, but the heat generated is too much over longer sessions. Doing an external solution seems cool.
The build, the modifications, the planning, the skill, the editing, the music.... By God Almighty, you are amazing - thank you for sharing! Hope all is well with you and your family, God Bless!
This represents the pinnacle of art for me, and you are the Michelangelo of this craft. I dream that one day you will construct a machine just for me. Thank you for this extraordinary content.
This is a really awesome build and it spurred me to purchasing the external radiator because i’m planning on making a build like this but with a meshroom s instead, but my one question was how did you get power to the pump and the fans, i know it says xlr and usb c but im wondering it there is a small psu in the external radiator box?
I've seen just about every single one of your build videos and this is my favorite out of them all. True masterclass at display. The ability to innovate and create in small cases is the future of PC's. One thing I would've done different for sake of stability would be to add some AF-10's(40x10 fans) so that passively cooled components that would typically have airflow from a cpu air cooler or case fans would be cooled. Other than that, it's perfection. Ik this was sponsored by bitspower but some EK lignum fittings would've been sick too 😂
LMFAOx1Mil, man talk about burying the lead in that thumbnail, i literally jumped around trying to see how they managed to fit RADIATORS & FANS inside such a tiny case 🤣 then I saw it, great job 👌👏👏🏻👏🏼👏🏿
That's actually pretty cool. Would have been neeeear impossible, but I would have liked to have seen a rad in the main case even a 120. Just enough to run it.. maybe slow and loud, maybe to take it to a LAN. Then when at home, hook it back up to the external rads for that maximum cooling/quiet/overclock.
Awesome sauce here. I saw your water temp. We live pretty close to each other. I’m in Temecula and that’s what my water temp is at idle right now. This summer is hot!
