My trick for DP into Level 2 is to hold forward into quarter circle forward into half circle back and half circle forward. After trying Ramon Trials for a while, this is the easiest way I found.
the tk motion to prevent dp is super useful as well, with this trick you can run and fireball, and no worry about forward command normal into qcf becomes dp.
@@chrometomato do quarter circle forward then roll to up forward and press button immediately. It's even easier with hitbox just press up and button right hand at the same time.

Really nice input tips. Getting used to some new input motions hasn't been THAT bad but I'm finding a lot of the cancel windows to be really short. Like in GG and SFV you have for ever to cancel into other stuff but not here. The last tip helps a lot with this I think

I dont have troubles with motion inputs, but, surprisingly for myself, i cant consistently chain crouching light attacks into each other. For example, Vanessa's cr.B x4. I just cant get the timings or speed with which i need to press the button. Is there a trick to it or just practice?

For Heidern, you can charge straight down, or diagonal forward-down (just not diagonal back down), for about 3 seconds. Then, from your straight down or diagonal forward-down position, turn qcb + diagonal back-up (similar to a "reverse tiger knee") + punch, which sees Heidern executing Moon Slasher (that anti-air move). Then when Moon Slasher connects, immediately turn qcb + punch, and you will short-cut execute his projectile super (that circular blade that twirls in place). Hope this helps. Btw, it doesn't link into a combo on ground opponents... so if you happen to be using Heidern, I would suggest canceling from Stinger or normal projectile into super. (Depending on where you're at on the screen, both work well after opponent bounces back to you, from your EX stinger).

This game is pretty strict with the inputs even with shortcuts. Doing something like 236x2 + button is rough in this game compared to something like Guilty Gear: Strive.
For me, as old as I am, all these inputs are babycakes compared to the finger/wrist torture that was Fatal Fury 2/Special SDM moves back in the day on the Neo.

Orginally KOF was never an easy fighter to start from and even for older games there was no buffer systems. Try KOF 94 or 95 and ask the same.

Its just finding the tempo
The timing is very forgiving. I had the same problem. You have more time than you think. There's also the possibility that you're doing it too fast
Don't mash, follow a rhythm. It's easier than it sounds honestly.

I never played kof before, but I think other fight game don't have these input tricks, are these the game bugs or it's just ment to be🤔
There are cases where inputs have to be done a bit slowly.

hold button trick never works. try with Terry Power Charge ex and as soon as it hits, DP ex and hold : never works
