Sup! Very cool video. I was practising this and i was having trouble lining up the normal timing (sometimes i got caught by 2A mash, and when i fixed that i got caught by the throw) I found out that doing something like 5C + 4C/6C (or D) can catch mashing and still late-tech a throw, in case anyone else is struggling with the execution :)

I think it’s actually stronger in 98 because there is more blockstun off of j.CD in that game. I haven’t played 98 in years so I don’t remember, but safejumps are definitely possible. Depends on the move you are trying to safejump though, there isn’t one way that will beat every single character always.
Hi Chris, liked how to the point the vid is. If I can ask, when would you use jCD over another jump in, like kyo jdownC or jC (assuming the opponent stayed grounded) and how would the mind games change as a result?
If you’re coming from street fighter 5, Kofxv is different. There is no button priority in this game. You either frametrap your opponent with attacks or beat their normals with normals that have big hit boxes but small hurt boxes

f+C or b+C are both throw inputs, they are exactly the same so it doesn’t matter which one you do
