May said people had the right to expect the prime minister to have understood the rules, and to follow them. Johnson said May would have to wait for the conclusion of the Met inquiry.

You know you are a horrible Prime Minister when the *former Prime Minister turns against you.*
the former prime minister from your _own_ party
She was never with him. She has spoken out about him a lot in the past. I think she called him morally unfit to lead when they were in a leadership contest once. She wasn't wrong
Boris Johnson did want she couldn't...she was rubbish lol
What planet are you on? May was never with Boris. May let's not forget created a shambles of a mess. May and Boris have not got on since Mays brilliant Brexit negotiations. Boris broke the log jam in parliament - lest we forget - when all those MPs that who cry now about 'integrity' tried to defy the democratic process and the will of the people and parliament was a mess.
@@warrenbutler7747 Boris has brought England, and England alone, to the circus and everyone is laughing.
To be fair, as much as I’ve had so much disdain for the Conservative party, I agree absolutely with Theresa May.
1 Why would you have distain for Conservative party?
2 Why would you agree with that?
@@annychest718 they don’t know 😂
@@annychest718it's a shame people on the RUclips comments section get to vote. This is like a window into the mind of RUclips voters. They shouldn't vote. They got no sense.
Utter rubbish!
Obviously it was option C: he didn't feel the rules applied to him. That's been a central story of his whole life.
its the core of his narcissistic personality disorder
Thatscwhst I'm thinking and everyone I know
"I am the exception to any rule"
Stick it on that c**ts gravestone
Clearly, thus the accurate observation behind the rhetorical device.
Trump is the same....
Say what you will about the Tories, Ms May is speaking facts
Except there is no such thing as rights.
there are not much rights compared to the US in UK anyway
Well they may be ‘facts’. But until the report is released who knows? How do you know for example?
Never thought I would be on the same side as Theresa May, but here I am.
Dont fall for this lol. She knew about the party all along but stayed silent. Now that it's the day of reckoning, shes pointing fingers.
@@harrisr1018 how would she know. Lol she wouldn't be invited
She's been waiting for this ever since he removed her as PM
It must be quite satisfying being able to do that. I would enjoy it in her stead.
Fair play to her aswell
She didn’t have to wait very long.
THAT 'OLE DISH IS DEFFINATELY SERVED COLD FROM THOSE HANDS
She is gonna get absolutely mashed tonight.
Comes to something when Theresa may looks competent and honest compared to the prime minister
Always was
She was a viscous Home Secretary, and a deadly Prime minister, shame she wasn't brought to account.
@@factstrumpprejudice6740 Better than the baboon we have now. Which reaffirms Neil Gs point.
I thought the same. She is a better politician on the back bench than she ever was as PM. If she was like this as PM then I might have liked her lol
@@aljack1979 I think she became the PM at the wrong time. The country was on the process of exiting from EU but she was a Remainer.
Bring her back. She wasn't faultless but she treated it like a job, not a jolly.
Just cause you stop being the bad guy for a second it doesn't make you a hero.
You must be jocking
@@clivestraw1913 jocking 🤣
This, some form of respect for the public
When anybody watches Theresa resignation speech they can see she was an honorable PM , now she seems to be one of the few who are holding BJ accountable. Speaks volumes.
Yes I honestly never really thought that the height of British politics for the 2000s would be the fairly polite, policy based back and forths of Corbyn and May but here we are in the world of wallpaper scandals whilst the country rapidly approaches the cliff edge
Hats off, Saying Facts 👍🏼
Ll
Never thought I would be agreeing with Theresa May!
you're not alone in that ;-)
Indeed. I almost respect her these days.
@@23merlino She is still a complete waste of space.
I can't believe your saying that....very short memories lol.
Have to say I loved the "daggers" look exchanged between May and Johnson when Johnson rose.
Say whatever else you want about her, but her leaving in 2019 was tragic in the sense that she likely would've handled Covid immeasurably better than Johnson
hopefully by not locking down
Agreed
@@stirlingmoss4621 Yeah nah, no sensible administration would've looked at the threat covid posed and gone, nah let's leave the shops and bars open because Stirling wouldn't be able to handle staying at home.
@@kirbles perhaps you have heard of Sweden and their response to the virus. Thanks for the informed and informative response; clearly you are an expert in epidemiology and weighed all the facts against annual death and long term effects from seasonal viral infections across the world as a fellow medical microbiologist.
@@stirlingmoss4621 they're not doing much better. Deaths per capita are less than UK by about a third but they are currently having their worst rate of infection. No one has got it spot on right.
I can’t believe I feel like this, but I unironically miss Theresa May
I think she would have been superb with leading the UK during COVID.
She didn't bring shame to the office of PM like Boris did that's for sure
@@castlelord8995 She at least knew when it was the right time to step down. It took Boris like 2 years to realise he was a failure-
Well said Mrs May
Well, she stated the obvious, but I liked her directness and her not trying to cover the prime minister. Like someone else said, as prime minister she has never been so assertive. Fun fact: I don't live in England and never have been to England and I am commenting from italy. This story is so typically italian and reminds of an italian say we have, which has first been spoken by a former italian prime minister, Giovanni Giolitti: "Law is to be interpreted for friends(in this case, we would say for "politicians in positions of power"), for enemies(in this case, the citizens) it must be strictly applied instead". I really think this phrase really explains why corona regulations have been broken.
@vincenzo anzoletti
Silence is golden. Boris's front bench colleagues struck dumb as the flak came in. Which one of these
toads is going to break rank and challenge? Might have to wait for the stalking horse first.
Non sei l'unico a quanto pare😂
She’s on fire today
The look she gives when she says "which was it?" Ouuccchhh
Calm capable and very dignified .Well done Mrs May .
She asked him a plain question, couldn’t be clearer, yet he says “No, that’s not what it said” ??? His answer isn’t an answer at all, more a complete non-sequitur, in the hope nobody will notice! He’s getting desperate!
That's his standard response for everything when he's challenged.
His answer was basically gaslighting.
Insane. His own predessor is on opposite terms - that alone ought to make him resign.
How do we expect Boris to run the country, when he doesn't even know what happening (allegedly) in his own house?
he knew and that is worse
I'm not sure I'm rebellious enough to go running in a hay field but getting me to agree with former PM May is possibly the most dangerous thing either of us has now done.
That *literally* made me lol. I was not expecting that in this comment section...
Oh, go on. Feel the wind in your hair as you leg it through the rye field in your transkini.
I laughed aloud at this irl
I never thought I would say this, but well said, Theresa!
How bad do you have to have messed up in life that even Theresa May can dunk on you?
Phi Slamma Jamma... BOOM!
he can't. stop. lying.
The chairman of the 1922 committee must have 54 letters by now! If not why not?
My MP is a member (of the 1922 committee) and as far as I know, he still supports the PM 🙈
“Revenge” is always a dish best served cold.
If after that, there aren't 54 Conservatives coming up to ask for Johnson's resignation, then I'm puzzled.
Let's be honest, Boris has been brought up and educated to believe that the rules NEVER applied to him and his classmates.
It's a Bullingd(t)on expectation.
He needs to go
Not true. Thousands of old etonians are decent people. Boris is an exceptionally evil man ... i would look to his family and father more. Zero morality.
@@beniteztheconman The ethos of the Etonian education is that they are there to make rules, to challenge the natural order and to lead not to follow. I mentioned his upbringing but his education has shaped him into the narcissist we see now.
@@alimos76harrington62 i agree 💯
He stabbed her in the back. He deserves everything he gets.
Great question, pity Boris won't answer.
Never does!
Confused American here, how is he not resigning ??? Him wanting the police distracted with this investigation is also confusing, don’t the police have better things to do? How is he not resigning ??
He's not obligated to resign. Neither does the PM have a manager that can sack him. But he can be ousted by his own backbench MPs. There is a formal procedure to remove a PM.
But I think what you're alluding to is why doesn't Boris do the right thing and resign. Because he's like trump and doesn't want to acknowledge any wrongdoings. Both are in denial due to their big egos like the Emperor with no clothes on. Looks like he's not going to resign and will have to be ousted sooner or later. He's a fool along with his army of cabinet ministers. The British public want him out but we can only remove him at an general election.
Um, consider Don the con- haven't you witnessed this behavior before?
This is the guy who used to set fire to £50 notes in front of homeless people, don't forget.
And he still does.... he pretended to support bwwexxitt just to become pm...knowing that it would destroy all the poor people of the uk.
When one failed prime minister makes the other failed prime minister embarrassed beyond belief..
Tell me you've failed without a failure before asking you🤣🤣🤣
bojo doesn't think the law applies to him
It is time that the press and other observers recognise Johnson's pathology as it appropriately did when observing Trump's catastrophic behaviours
Nothing wrong with Trump but there is plenty wrong with Biden who seems to be permanently bewildered.
@@dragonfly6908 ’nothing wrong with Trump’. Absolutely nothing. He’s the perfect human being, a man without sin.
I can just imagine Theresa May telling Boris , " go to your room ! "
I wish it was funny but Boris is a shameless , spoilt little boy . We deserve better .
What brilliant way to phrase the question, she should be PM…oh wait.
I disagree with May on everything, but she is a stand up person for calling him out.
Everything? Such as?
@@beniteztheconman Economics, Social Welfare, Social Issues.
Suddenly her speechs and questions became more impactful than when she was PM. It seems that the PM is being such a mess people even miss her...
I love the way she said WHICH WAS IT
Theresa May is an angel 😇 in comparison to BOJO
Teresa May is awfull.... But at least she has some form of understanding of decency!
Also, at least Theresa May knows how to resign
This
Theresa may should have been the prime minister during these last 2 years. Dont think she or her party would've done this...shame she let us and herself down with the brexit negotiations.
Well, just imagine if Boris became the PM first before May. Boris as PM after succeeding Cameron will deliver the Brexit earlier and then Theresa May becoming PM in early 2020, things would have been different there by now.
Truss making May look competent and trustworthy means something is wrong with this country.
Utter embarrassed 😳
No he is not this completely normal to people like this. They apologize and mummy and daddy fix everything and then life goes on.
Has there even been any other PM in modern times who has been this bad ..he's way surpassed Thatcher !
Well put Theresa May. I wonder if Boris can understand what you clearly explained. He was cluelss about the Covid restrictions, which he introduced.
He understands lol
Too right girl...
Do the former prime ministers not retire after their terms in office like the usa?
No, they return to being an member of parliament and representing their constituency unless they retire from politics altogether which would mean a by election for their seat would have to be called
No she simply resigned from being Prime Minster and remained being an MP for Maidenhead.
No. In the UK the PM still holds their seat in their respective constituency as far as im aware, so if the PM resigns as PM they still are an MP (member of parliament) . For the US the closes equivalent to the PM would be the President who (once sworn in) loses his or her seat in the Congress. Congressional Seats are separated from the Presidency, so you can’t be president and represent a constituency at the same time.
@@verityculpin982 The money id pay to see obama trump bush and biden in the same congress yelling at each other😂 British politics are entertaining
Never thought I'd say it, bring back Teresa, all is forgiven!
Shes so brave 😄
Omg will they stop referring to him as honorable he's a complete joke besides looking like a scruff!!!
There's a saying that we should each get our own houses in order before we try to change the world. Johnson pulled the UNO card on this one.
Served up colder than if Don Corleone himself had been waiting on BoJo's table.....Theresa has a long memory and the whole of that front bench looked mightily uncomfortable.
Where was this straight talking Theresa May when she was pm 🤷🏻♂️
She's only effective when she's on the opposing side.
When do the British people understand, for whom they voted?
You too Brutus.
0:58 from this point onwards, nothing but lies. He can't be called a liar in the House, but Boris is most certainly a liar, and a habitual, well practiced one at that.
EDIT: Time quoted.
I remember my senior six and before this noise 🤣
Ouch - Go May!
Sir Douglas what a geezer just sitting and watching Johnson crumble
Attacked by your own party in parliament! Well done, Boris.
This is amazing theatre…
Political talk show
I wish I could use ‘let’s await the conclusion of the inquiry’ for all of my past transgressions
She got her revenge, congrats May!
She was better than him tbh
Can't she just be re-allected
Well done Theresa
Spot on
The tail appears to be wagging the dog now, but how long will it take before the dog bites the hand that feeds it?
Look at his cabinet members siding with him on the front bench. All concentrating, in silence, on when the traps open and they can make a dash for the new leadership.
Old saying, but worth it.
If you want to test the character ofba person give him power
Get him out fs
Brilliant Video
This is the difference between the West and East, the East would do the right thing to save face/dignity and resign
because
Get Borexit Done!
I really like her, and I’m a lefty.
This lives rent free in my head
At the end of the day, in a reality where his hands are completely clean and he's been completely honest, we are at a juncture where the public and Parliament have no faith in his leadership, no trust in him and his accomplices, and we cannot move forward with him at the helm. If he has any desire for this country to be well led he must resign
All three, Tess, You know it was all three. Mainly the third but, that just helped out with the first two.
WhiiCh WwaS iT !!??
Amazing moment, well done.
Theresa May might challenge for the leadership...
If she were as skilled at governing as she was at asking this question, she'd still be Prime Minister.
Which was it ??????hahahahaha
Did they do to many restrictions? Shame it wasn't a red report
Free Julian Assange.
Is this common in the UK for people on the same side to ask challenging questions? In Australia people on the same side ask easy questions

Would she of been so bothered about the civil service making merry at every opportunity if it was a different prime minister? Especially a remain prime minister.
She was right and didn't get any answer..
Why this ridiculous Speaker keeps saying he wants to hear Johnson's answer is sadly laughable.
He never Answers much really and the Speaker does NOTHING to him about that.
