If you look in Ren’s videos sorted by date, he shared a video the day before he released Hi Ren (Dec 15, 2022). The video recording of his younger self sets the scene for this internal battle and the wisdom that you picked up on. That earlier video was from when they weren’t able to diagnose or treat him. He didn’t think he would live to see 30 years old. And even after two stem cell treatments, he still struggles with his health and autoimmune issues. When Hi Ren was released, he went to Canada for what has been a full year of treatment to reverse the damage from the Lyme Disease. So this song and message is so powerful because it’s coming from a Phoenix coming out of the ashes. But what amazes me is his message of hope and the positivity that he shares through his music and the community that he has built. The RENeffect is real and the ripple effect has been incredible ❤️

Ren is amazing and I dint think you will ever get to the end of hus catalog. He has a catalog starting from when he was 12 up to now he is 33. He is a musical genius, is a self taught multi instrumentalist, self taught vocals, he writes all his own stuff, makrs all his own beats, produces his own videos. His camera man SaM is his friend from school. Ren is not just an Rtist more than that he is an absolute amazing human. Humble giving, greatful. He gives all his fans so much time and love on his live streams and social media, he loves helping other people lift up. He has become close with quite a few reactors on youtube and they support eachother him along with the reactors supporting eachother. Ren goes by the saying "rising tides lift all ships". And thats what he wants his followers to do. Just to point out, all Songs and Vids you see from Ren, were all recorded before he wrote and released. Hi Ren. Some 1yr before, other far longer. Everything was planned. Ren knew his was going to take time out and spend most of 2023 in Canada getting treatment for his illnesses. He didn't know how the treatment would go, or how bad the side effects would be. I put Ren in the same category as the Beastie Boys, he's doing shit nobody has ever seen before, to his credit, I do think his music is more widely accepted than what the Beasties were doing in the 80s and 90, younger people are learning to appreciate how much the Beasties were changing music back in the day and that's a beautiful thing! Yeah man, Ren is incredible. I saw this video like 9-10 months back, and I’ve been stuck ever since. His discography is amazing. Like everyone suggested, The Tales of Jenny and Screech (Full). Then I’d suggest seeing a couple of The Big Push videos. Ren absolutely shreds on guitar, and all his band mates are super talented as well. Romain Axisa and Gorran Kendall from The Big Push have their own channels as well with their own music. They are so so good as a band. I hope one day they get back together. Cheers!

This, like. Money game 3 and most of his videos, were done in one take. He collaborates with his videographer, Sam, on each video, mapping out each movement, gesture, shifts in lighting. Its all choreographed to go from start to finish, without edits. That said, some of his best videos are of him playing on the streets. Ren is amazing and I dint think you will ever get to the end of hus catalog. He has a catalog starting from when he was 12 up to now he is 33. He is a musical genius, is a self taught multi instrumentalist, self taught vocals, he writes all his own stuff, makrs all his own beats, produces his own videos. His camera man SaM is his friend from school. Ren is not just an Rtist more than that he is an absolute amazing human. Humble giving, greatful. He gives all his fans so much time and love on his live streams and social media, he loves helping other people lift up. He has become close with quite a few reactors on youtube and they support eachother him along with the reactors supporting eachother. Ren goes by the saying "rising tides lift all ships". And thats what he wants his followers to do. He has created this growing community on encouraging eachother people we dont even know, being good to eachother, helping just being human like we are made to be. I heard you say Regge. Check out Rens busking band "The Big Push" and do the i shot the sherriff/road to zion/hiphop song its all 3 in one song. Dont just do the ishot sherriff make sure its all 3 in 1. Just to point out, all Songs and Vids you see from Ren, were all recorded before he wrote and released. Hi Ren. Some 1yr before, other far longer. Everything was planned. Ren knew his was going to take time out and spend most of 2023 in Canada getting treatment for his illnesses. He didn't know how the treatment would go, or how bad the side effects would be. The only tracks/vids Ren has written since Hi Ren, The dedication to his friend Joe, at the end of "Suicide" "For Joe" Murderer acoustic version, King Dotta Diss track, and of course "Money Game Part 3"

I put Ren in the same category as the Beastie Boys, he's doing shit nobody has ever seen before, to his credit, I do think his music is more widely accepted than what the Beasties were doing in the 80s and 90, younger people are learning to appreciate how much the Beasties were changing music back in the day and that's a beautiful thing!

He did this in one take with 4 cameras but theres a version on his channel thats infront of a live audience. He also done a song called genesis which is unbelievable which he also does an acoustic version of that which is unbelievable.

Yeah man, Ren is incredible. I saw this video like 9-10 months back, and I’ve been stuck ever since. His discography is amazing. Like everyone suggested, The Tales of Jenny and Screech (Full). Then I’d suggest seeing a couple of The Big Push videos. Ren absolutely shreds on guitar, and all his band mates are super talented as well. Romain Axisa and Gorran Kendall from The Big Push have their own channels as well with their own music. They are so so good as a band. I hope one day they get back together. Cheers!

I was a kid in the '60's and '70's and remember the effect that Dylan had on so many artists, including the Beatles and the Byrds. Now I'm seeing Ren having the same kind of effect on people (including me as a visual artist), and it's exciting to see! When you mentioned the Stones' Sympathy for the Devil, I laughed, because he does a cover of that song with his excellent busking band, The Big Push. Before his album Sick Boi was released, his pre-order sales on iTunes passed the Rolling Stones new album for the #1 spot, and Ren said that it was so surreal, because he had always been a Stones fan. Subbed!

Great job dude. Now up to 1.13m (about double what it was when Hi Ren was posted). The Ren rabbit hole is very deep and diverse. As you go down it, not only will Ren will continue to amaze and captivate you, but you will be introduced to several other artists (and Ren’s old band) that will leave you scratching your head thinking, “Where the hell have I been? This, like. Money game 3 and most of his videos, were done in one take. He collaborates with his videographer, Sam, on each video, mapping out each movement, gesture, shifts in lighting. Its all choreographed to go from start to finish, without edits. That said, some of his best videos are of him playing on the streets. Check him out, performing with sam tompkins or his band, the big push.

I didn’t hear you mention this and I didn’t see any other comments, but this was all done live and in one shot. I think they did a few takes for this one. But a lot of his videos are done that way.

Great reaction! I felt exactly the same, the internal dialogue is a universal experience that everyone seems to relate to. Like you said, this is more than just music or a music video, it is it's own artform unconstrained by the industry rules. I'm sure there will be copycats, but like Ren, all artists take inspiration from others and hopefully there will be more people feeling empowered to choose their own path and create more inspiring works.
