me i have only one word to discribe REN ... Genius and by the way, your reaction are always incredible. thanks and he just post a video of almost 60min of the making of this video a must watch
Technically, one take. both parts were done in one take... just not one shot. And as others have said... they had limited time at the Secret Garden Party, and the water would have taken too long to dry out.
@reactivereplays5666 100% For those that say this is 2 parts, 3 parts, 4 parts, come on. 34 seconds in starts a new part of the video. They are masterful at creating a video song...End of story. It's almost like a psychologist was directing the video because people can't seem to find all the DIFFERENT stop-and-go's in this video. There is quite a few. Do you think his tie and suit just magically got all messed up after the phone call about his dad dying? But the understanding of the importance of the one one take video undermines the meaning of the song. The song is massive and beautiful and in the end that's what matter's most.
@@johnhealy4311 go back and watch it again. The suit and tie get messed up when you're watching the spinning globe. He picks up the phone, and then when the camera shifts, you can see Ren pulling his tie, etc. It truly was done with 1 cut.
@@TehZombishyes it was all a one take with (what I saw) 2 hidden cuts, one when he pulls off the bag off of his head and then round the back of the wheelchair
@@Stylz. Nope. The bag is not a cut. It looks like one, but if you watch the BTS, you see how the bag just happens to hit the camera, causing it to fill the frame.
Lovely reaction as always guys! There is one cut in this video, just behind the wheelchair near the end. But it was only bc of the water part. It made it difficult to re film after he got wet (he only had one suit). You definitely need to check out MG1 and 2. Just make sure you choose the LYRIC VIDEO for MG2 because the live version is not complete.
Just for extra clarification, at that point they removed the lapel mic from his suit (because he takes his jacket off) and fitted inside his tie, and water proofed it ready for the rain.
I'm confused by your comment. You're saying that Ren and Sam have said there is only one edit or cut in the video, but that someone else looked at the video and said there are no stops or edits. And you believe the person who said that there are no edits over Ren and Sam saying there is one edit? I'm just trying to make sure I'm understanding you correctly, because I'm confused. I don't see any breaks or edits, but I would believe what Ren and Sam say over anyone else.
Hello from UK. As albamartinez says def 1 cut. It's when wheelchair turns so hardly noticeable the videographer Samuel FP says this in an interview because as albamartinez says Ren only had 1 suit jacket for when water came down. Great reaction thank you. I just love Ren. I don’t know about how you feel, but it seems like we are headed in the wrong direction. I think the divide between the well to do and those who are suffering is growing and yes people who are poor live a little better today than in the past. The poor people of today are just a different type of poor but still suffering none the less. I believe this is happening because of the greed of people in power and the greedy corporations that fund them.
I live in Brighton,England.ren used to busk on the streets with Sam Tompkins.they are both amazing artists and all of their tunes have been amazing.I could give you a whole list but Sam and ren angry car park attendant is 1 of my favourites.
Sam in the "Ren and Samuel Video" is Samuel Perry-Falvey, Rens Friend and Cinematographer who works with Ren and has filmed most of his recent work, the other Film maker he works with is Luke Flegg. This Video has one cut when they go behind him in the wheelchair to reveal the String Quartet
His music is awesome on its own but I am always amazed when you add his video it takes the sound, emotion everything to another level. There aren’t many artist that can do what he does.
You guys actually nailed a lot of what Ren talks about in interviews. He isn't anti-capitalist at all, and says competition can lead to innovation. Like you mentioned, there needs to be some morality though as the system certainly gets taken to extremes and abused.
firstly, great reaction as always guys, thanks so much for sharing. just wanted to make a point. this is purely my own opinion, not stating it as fact because i couldn't possibly know, but when Ren talks about creating utopia, i don't believe he means it in the literal sense of the word. he has repeatedly shown that he is historically literate so i'm pretty sure he understands the dangers of trying to impose a literal "utopia" on people. he also seems to value free will a great deal. i think when he talks about utopia he just means a better way o f getting sh1t done than we have now. again, that's just my opinion for what it's worth! anyhoo, thanks for sharing, much love to you and yours.
I agree David. He is so intelligent and wise for his age as well as worldly. So he knows not all humans would be able to do that scenario and be productive. But instead of thousands of divided tribes all over hating each other, we could have more common goals making more cohesive larger groups. Then take all the negative that would try to stop us and as one turn against them (the slimy elites) that would honestly rather see us dead and/ or under their control. Kind of like it is right now.
Ren gets an A+ for his artistry and abilities but he's not nearly as knowledgeable as you guys seem to think when it comes to economics or money. All three of his Money Games are hard for me to watch because his ideas are so misguided. Part 3 is the worst in this respect due to his preachy monologue that has little if any validity.
you are fine reacting to part 3 first, its basically a standalone song (there are a couple of references back to 1 and 2 but it doesnt change anything really or add much more perspective - you should watch 1 and 2 though, 1 is another one take live, and for part 2 the LYRIC video is the full version - the live version was a teaser type thing). a GREAT reaction as always, and you noted the skill in this being (almost) a one take. sam perry-falvey did the videography with his team, and obviously ren had major input into that as well as the coordination between all the elements and extras, they did a superb job putting this together i think!
This video won several awards at the London Music Awards, including best video and best director (Sam and Ren shared credit, i think). I hope i got that right. And ohhhhh my God! Stark! Yessssss.
I love that you guys did this! Hope you go back and watch the other 2. And if you have time watch one of the great interviews he’s done recently. You guys hit right on the point he makes, money and ethics. That’s what all of this about. REN is extremely intelligent. He has a lot of faith in humanity. Ok so I use headsets all the time but the fact these guys have centered sound so like left is left right is right blows my mind love it absolutely love it you guys literally one ear each or maybe I'm high but I love it
My understanding of him using "utopia" is purely for telling the story in as few words as possible but some definitions say "place of ideal perfection" not just perfect. Excellent reaction guys.
One of the amazing parts of this track is the onomatopoeic rhyme scheme on letters F and S, when Jimmy is 40, to illustrate the sound of the rain... Just amazing!
You won't have got the genius of that last section, having not seen the first 2 parts. Definitely come back to this, after you've watched the first 2. Pay close attention to the chorus in the first 2. Then, when you get to the last part of part 3, you'll realise that the last words here, lead into the chorus in parts 1 and 2. Then you realise that he's recreated that chorus here, without having to sing it! Then you realise that, as the end is a summation of Jimmy's life, that Jimmy's entire life IS the chorus, from parts 1 and 2 but expanded, illustrated! Round and round it goes. Genius! "...with his finger on the trigger of a money game... Oh rain rain rain rain, a storm it comes our way...". Remarkable writing. Remarkable performing, remarkable playing, remarkable direscting. Remarkable Ren! :)
13:20 Solution : To, in our lives, pull the trigger on the Money Game Itself... cause if it goes unto its natural end then it is like the story of Jimmy. Awesome reaction commentary guys, thank you.
a fun fact of this is when ren sits back in the chair after loading the gun. he waves the pistol. he's setting the orchestra behind him to tempo. 1,2,3. genius
This video and Ren's performance are truly next-level. Really enjoyed your reaction. Definitely check out Money Game 1 and 2 (for part 2 make sure to do the lyric video rather than the live as it is the full version of the song, although the live is also worth checking out). ❤️
Thanks for reacting to these kinds of songs. Another one that might pull on your heart strings is called Skin by Sixx AM. Anyone struggling with addiction will understand.
Not as difficult if you were to watch Violets Tale before Jenny and Screech. Money Game 1,2&3 are a lot easier to follow. A few new reactors jumped into MG3 first. Whatever, no doubt they're going to enjoy what they see and hear. It would be interesting I'm sure.
You can't pigeonhole Ren. Love your reaction. Will like and subscribe. ✌️From the UK Oh Sam is the videogroropher,. (ignore predictive) although Ren always has a part, a huge part. 💜
Money Game 2 is my favorite lyrically but 3 is akin to his "Tales" trilogy and it's on par, performance wise, with "Hi Ren". Ren wrote ALL of the music for 3, including the orchestral parts. He said he practiced quite a bit to get the piano intro right. He also said that this isn't precisely a one take, it has a single cut in it, but it had to due to some logistics and time constraints. He explained it all in his Twitch live stream after the video dropped. He's really proud of this one, and should be. It's another great example of Ren's pure musical ARTISTRY. The greatest sculptures in history were created slowly, persistently, over a long period of time, one small chip at a time. Chip, chip, chipping away. Ren's illness is the marble, his musical artistry is the chisel...and look at the masterpieces he's now created. A modern day musical Michaelangelo forged through fire....and the world is better for it
You'd trust these two to give an in-depth reaction to the video above, do a how to on building cabinetry or tell you bad news that then wouldn't seem as bad. great stuff.
Great reaction. One quick point. Brian, you said “it’s always easier to see the bad than the progress.” In my humble opinion, in ANY system that you want to work as intended, you fix the flaws. If it’s not broken, don’t fix it! REN is pointing out the flaws. We should listen. There’s work to do. We’ve done a lot as a species, but only because we strive for perfection. If we rest on the laurels of what we’ve gotten right…well…REN said it best, “then there’s no future I see where the humans survive.” Please don’t take this as a negative comment. I still subscribed because I loved your reaction and thoughts. So no disrespect intended at all. Keep killing it!
In some ways, his father was the programmer; until near the very end of his life, Jimmy merely followed the code. He had free will all along but he didn't look for alternatives to the program/story he'd been handed.
I read there was one cut behind the wheelchair, to set up the water scene, Ren said we could create utopia IF people were taught to use their brains.? Great thoughts , and conversation.
Love how you instantly understood morality as an imperative within capitalism! And also the focus that corporations are an entity. Thus the impetus is on us, the consumers, to insist on only supporting those who maintain some semblance of social responsibility.
Corporations are actually not part of free market capitalism. They exist to give great advantages to some at the expense of others. Free market capitalism requires a level playing field in order to function properly. A strong rule of law applied equally to all should be the goal but corporations make that impossible. Central banking also makes that impossible yet the US and most of the West has had a central bank for over 100 years. Central banking comes straight out of Marx's manifesto which obviously makes it an enemy of free markets and all other freedom.
Ren is the guy, a story to tell ..a story of man, a living helll.. A survivor, a demice to say.. ...it is the way, when people demise, the pain in the brain.. What can I say, we are going insane.. when the darkness sorround you, who can we baime? The ones by our side..that is a shame An enemy, a friend it all comes to an end.. The people who cry when I die.. Give me a hug, not a rose by my grave There was a man in pain You didnt see it, so who am I to blaime Being at peace It aint no shame Walk in my shoes then you choose A boom in my room it is what it is Hug me when I was alive DONT bring flowers to my grave This is all I want to say " Mental health, call your local number, talk to someone, before its to late "
The timing for each action has to be perfect, now try doing that for a nine minute one shot , these two are freaking amazing. Rabid renegade since Hi Ren .
There are aspects of the original videos in the 3rd that are important. Example the bags over the heads of everyone except Jimmy (Ren). Another example, the melody in various parts of the video relate to the first two videos. My suggestion is to watch Ren in order. Regardless, I wanted to see your reaction for quite some time too. Thanks, gentlemen, always a pleasure to watch.
Great reaction to #REN. I would to see you react to Ren playing in the streets with his band The Big Push. Either “I shot the sheriff, Road to Zion and the Hip Hop” or the Black Sabbath “War Pigs 🐷 “ mashups
I have to disagree with your disagreement about “utopia”, since you missed the plural “utopias”. It’s impossible for there to be a global utopia without some sort of suppressive totalitarian regime. No, he said “utopias”. Multiple communities, individually congruent within themselves, allowing for differences between each community to thrive. His idea of a hive mind, each utopia working with each other between each other despite the differences could become possible, if we teach our children to think critically and independently. Of course, we’d have to make that type of teaching globally viral and accepted for it to “mostly” work.
It’s been said on several occasions; but is always worth repeating when people acknowledge Ren is a modern day bard!!

13:20 Solution : To, in our lives, pull the trigger on the Money Game Itself... cause if it goes unto its natural end then it is like the story of Jimmy. Awesome reaction commentary guys, thank you.
Definitely check out Pt 1
Samuel Perry-Falvey is usually the cinematographer that works with Ren. Hence the "Samuel and Ren" titles....
a fun fact of this is when ren sits back in the chair after loading the gun. he waves the pistol. he's setting the orchestra behind him to tempo. 1,2,3. genius
Wow!
Super vid chaps. Some of us are celebrating the bard, over here in the UK. His first works centuries ago. Still relevant.
This video and Ren's performance are truly next-level. Really enjoyed your reaction. Definitely check out Money Game 1 and 2 (for part 2 make sure to do the lyric video rather than the live as it is the full version of the song, although the live is also worth checking out). ❤️
Thank you for your reaction. 🙂
Thanks for reacting to these kinds of songs. Another one that might pull on your heart strings is called Skin by Sixx AM. Anyone struggling with addiction will understand.
Samuel is the director .
Love it so much
They don't need to be in order, but they are too good to pass. Especially Money Game 2 , very informative
Sorry, but they really do, because this refers back to both.
Not as difficult if you were to watch Violets Tale before Jenny and Screech. Money Game 1,2&3 are a lot easier to follow. A few new reactors jumped into MG3 first. Whatever, no doubt they're going to enjoy what they see and hear. It would be interesting I'm sure.
sub from Poland, wish You best
You guys really need to watched money game 1 &2!!!!
You can't pigeonhole Ren.
Love your reaction. Will like and subscribe. ✌️From the UK
Oh Sam is the videogroropher,. (ignore predictive) although Ren always has a part, a huge part. 💜
LOLO, the camera stare at 9:32. Love the reactions guys.
This is a masterpiece. There are a few discreet cuts but that's beside the point. The video/song is genius.
He came back from Canada to film this in-between treatments just before the drop of Sick Boi.....!!!
A modern day musical Michaelangelo forged through fire....and the world is better for it
❤
“Friendship” 😂👍
Takes on a whole different meaning than “partnership“, doesn’t it? 🤔😂. Thank you for watching our channel, and make it a great day. - C -
You'd trust these two to give an in-depth reaction to the video above, do a how to on building cabinetry or tell you bad news that then wouldn't seem as bad. great stuff.
Great reaction. PLEASE please watch the first 2 Money Games. 😊
Love from the UK 💕
Great reaction the best thing about Ren's videos is they start conversations 😊
What's up, men! It's been a while since i caught yall! Cheers from Tennessee 🎉
Wow!
Thanks for watching and commenting! - B -
with a different father Jimmy may have become a philanthropist but it didnt work out like that .
In some ways, his father was the programmer; until near the very end of his life, Jimmy merely followed the code. He had free will all along but he didn't look for alternatives to the program/story he'd been handed.
Sick boi the album..
I would definitely recommend for Joe where you can see him playing the piano and you will definitely need your sunglasses
❤ u guys.. keep up the amazing work
Ren is the guy, a story to tell
..a story of man, a living helll..
A survivor, a demice to say..
...it is the way,
when people demise,
the pain in the brain..
What can I say, we are going insane..
when the darkness sorround you,
who can we baime?
The ones by our side..that is a shame
An enemy, a friend
it all comes to an end..
The people who cry
when I die..
Give me a hug,
not a rose by my grave
There was a man in pain
You didnt see it, so who am I to blaime
Being at peace
It aint no shame
Walk in my shoes
then you choose
A boom in my room
it is what it is
Hug me when I was alive
DONT bring flowers to my grave
This is all
I want to say
" Mental health, call your local number, talk to someone, before its to late "
Nice one, this is just epic.
Thank you my friend. We appreciate you taking the time to watch our channel. - C -
The timing for each action has to be perfect, now try doing that for a nine minute one shot , these two are freaking amazing. Rabid renegade since Hi Ren .
Pure artistry from a one off Renicorn, fantastic reaction, would love you to see parts one and two, amazing, thank you 🙏🦉❤️🐊👍
You guys NEED Money game part 2, also love music part 4
You reallllly need to do money game part 2
Loved the reaction guys
Shakespearean levels !!!
Truth teller.
One thing about Ren: chairs mean business.
I can relate.just trying to make your dad proud.im 40 and am still trying to make me dad proud
Nice reaction subbing!!
🤣 Cedric, thank you for clarifying it's a friendship, but Brian had to keep it going and say you're his partner...🤔😂
"Which one's Ren and which one's Samuel"...
Samuel is behind the camera.
The other person that took over for Ren is a professional pianist.
Correction: he's a story teller who has incredible skills of rapping, singing, and instrumental performance. ;-)
