Even if you don't donate, it has his history of the medical issues that's worth reading. It's amazing he's alive after being misdiagnosed and tells what he continues to go through to get better.
The pain on his face when he says "we're a coin minted different sides" is so overlooked. Every reaction i see, that moment tears me up. I cant be the only one who saw it over 400 reactions
Ren has you covered as far as a performance is concerned. This was recorded live. He is wearing a collar mic and the guitar is plugged in. This was the 4th take at doing it in one. He is also a street performer/busker and it’s a natural thing you either can or can’t do. Talent oozes out of every pore.
That just makes this performance even more amazing, incredible!
Just because he's wearing a mic and the guitar has a lead to it does NOT mean it's live - they could just be props. How do you know it's the fourth 'take'? Where is your evidence?
@@therepublicofcynica Hello mr Sardonic Cynic. Ren recently released a new song called Sick Boi. During the RUclips premiere of that, he was in the comments. He was asked by someone about Hi Ren and he stated that ‘Hi Ren was a live recording and the one we see on the video was the 4th attempt’. Many of his music releases are one take deals. He prides himself on it. Look at his channel and see. Even a cynical sardonista can agree this song is special, whether they admit it or not.

I need to add that I never, at any point said the song wasn't special - indeed I think it's a rare piece of musical art and should be heard by as wide an audience as possible.

Ren is therapy for so many from one song he helps so many people open up in ways therapists struggle to do in person
He's easily the best artist of this year with this song. Currently he's in Canada undergoing treatment for his health issues, as per his Facebook. Not a usual listener of this type of music but this is phenomenal.
If I wasn't a reactor I would have delved into everything else he has out right now!

I didn't know at first but most of the vids he does are live..this one is. Yu can hear it in the accoustics and see his mic. So one guy,1 room,1 guitar delivers this..absolutely insane. Best talent I've probably ever seen in my 41 years. It's been a long while at least

Jenny and Screech is phenomenal and so is Sick Boi. In fact, they all are
Ren contracted Lyme diseases as a Teen. He went to the UK doctors complaining of severe pain in his entire body. They didn't catch the Lyme, and instead diagnosed him with Psychosis (they said it was all in his head). Instead of treating him for the Lyme, they gave him psycho-active/tropic drugs (which can come with horrible side-effects). He is now getting treatment for his Lyme and trying to repair his body (he actually did suffer "brain damage" from the Lyme). Ren has a GoFundMe account to help pay medical bills.....The pig is a butcher, Ren's take on many doctors......the discordant guitar and vocals represent his internal chaos, as do the blinking lights.......
The absolute beauty of this performance is that it is IMPOSSIBLE to know what to expect. It's a mind-boggling punch right in the heart 🤯 💔 ending with a powerful message of resounding hope ❤️🔥🙏❤️🩹

I've watched a LOT of reaction vids to his songs (that word doesn't do justice to what he does)and your reaction is universal.I too am a metalhead,never liked rap or the like but this and some of his other songs hit me hard.dive in to Ren's world but take a big breath because it's deep!

Ren has been trying hard to respond to everyone that has reacted to this (which is cool in itself), but it has been so viral that he has trouble keeping up. He is now undergoing treatment in Canada and will be there for a bit. He wants to be known for his music, not his past, but both are really the story in this song. He recently posted on his page the latest on his health explaining exactly where he is at and asked all who reacted and who are curios to be pointed back there in order to keep his incoming mail and messages and such down.

I saw Ren in pretty much every reactors comments when I saw this for the first time 5 days ago. I. Haven’t seen him for the last couple days and I’m so glad that it’s gotten so big that it’s probably near impossible for him to do 😊❤
Ren's an absolute beast on stage. He's originally coming from street performance, so playing to a crowd would come with the territory. He's also part of a pretty terrific band called The Big Push, You can find some of their live performances online and they are worth every minute of your time. This fella does not miss.

I have been captivated by this song over the past couple of weeks. It's not Metal as a style, but I think its metal (meaning hard core badass and dealing with difficult themes of internal pain and struggle).

Just be aware, Tauri. I’m also into symphonic metal with Nightwish as my absolute favorite. But the last weeks I have been stuck with Ren. I have watched all I’ve found on him and he is a really talanted singer, musician and rapper. But most of all a great performer and a brilliant poet. I really like him.
Oh trust me, if it weren't for my channel, I'd already be deep down that rabbit hole haha
Nightwish is passionate and intense. Ren is passionate and intense. No wonder we love these very different (from the music point of view) artists.

Welcome to Ren's Musical Theater. What is amazing too is he does a lot of videos as a 'one take'. This is one of them. From what I understand, this was the 4th take that day? Ren is amazing and I wish him well as he goes through his therapy and recovery in Canada.

At first I was curious about all the hype around him here on RUclips.
Then, I was mesmerized by the way he started playing the guitar with such intensity.
But once he actually started speaking it was just... Wow...
It left me speechless, from the beginning to the very end, and I'm still trying to process what I listened to.
As someone who deals with mental issues and has a sort of split personality syndrome, I think this is a HUGE message to those who may not understand us, who deal with our inner demons every day.
The way the two "Rens" went back and forth, is exactly how, sometimes, both of my personalities "go at each other" inside my head, this perfect chaos is just.. crazy amazing.
Rain watching this video for about maybe a few months I don’t know I don’t know it came up on my feet I think but it first came out months ago and I loved it and I shared it with everybody I knew and this is after weeks of watching reaction videos because it’s really interesting to see everybody’s different reactions, this is the best reaction so far not the other ones part of amusing or heartfelt

You got it right and I have watched probably over 100 reaction videos just because I enjoy this song but I couldn’t just keep listening to the song so I figured why not get some feedback from a vocalist from a videographer from a musician or from across the guitarist and etc. etc. you get my point so I was like you know I really like this song let me go and get some expertise so to speak And this lady just nailed it.

my connection to this song is only the similarity of struggle,,
i'm undiagnosed autistic and have struggled with being a bit weird my whole life i had to start my own business because i had problems holding a job with sleep disorders and high ethics.. but managed to stay in business the last 40 years without needing to advertise or even carry a card, i run a lawn and tree service and do all phases of construction and kind of an inventor on the side after six years of development i figured out a disaster response product that could help millions worldwide .. then my insurance agent forgot to post a payment back in 2020 and the state took everything i worked the last 40 years for away .. stuck at home like a prisoner i came online and saw people helping others so i started making videos explaining hat i was. trying to do to get help and found out if the platform your uploading to doesn't promote you your just talking to your phone, and then i see stuff like this and get jealous because i will never write a song that gets peoples attn like this. so my chances are fading. and it's scary as hell to think of all that could be, but it may all be lost because one person forgot to hit enter on there keyboard..

This is live. He took four takes and if you notice , he has a mic on his left shoulder. The camera works the lighting is all one take . This is not a music video which thenxhas been edited later to lipsync etc.

You have a lot of material to work with for your reaction channel, his newest songs like an original called “SickBoi” and his retake of The Verve’s ”Bittersweet Symphony” and you have got to react to “Chalk Outlines” with Chinchilla. This guy is a diamond in the rough, an extraordinarily talented dude.
should you choose to listen to his 'London trilogy' and I think you most certainly should, Jenny's Tale, Screech's Tale, and Violets Tale is the correct order. It simply brilliant.

Like you i'm a metalhead, but this piece of art was just out of this world.
I would argue that it doesn't really matter how this translate to stage because the implicit message it carries through this video is far superior and important than any live performance.
Some music and some art is just meant to be heard and experienced in solitude and this is one of those pieces in my opinion.
I think i can even go as far as to say that this is probably on par with Shakespeare but in modern form.
It is relatable to pretty much every single person in the world.
Regardless of the severity of our struggles we can all relate to the inner struggle he depicts.
Thank you for an honest reaction to Ren and for spreading his message.

You want to see him on stage, you just did. This live performance was amazing. Imagine how difficult to do this, then imagine doing it without retakes. Really enjoyed your reaction! I am a metal head too but this has been such an incredible rabbit hole. His live street shows are awesome. And one thing I have found is he is not just one genre. I think if you asked him what genre he played he would say “yes”

That Nina Simone Cover of ‘By the Water’ is mind blowingly good. Ren is a fabulous vocalist but what shows the quality of that band ( The Big Push), is that it’s not even certain he’s the best vocalist in the band.
