  • Etiowo "T" Usoro wanted to make an impact on the world. When he learned about Health Informatics, T saw it as an opportunity to radically change the future of the healthcare industry.
"There's just so many opportunities in the healthcare field to be able to fill in the gaps of what's missing," he said. "I'm hoping to push our way to that Utopian end-goal of (preventative care)."
As a student in the Master's of Health Informatics program at the University of Michigan School of Information, T is able to learn in the classroom, and get real world experience at Michigan Medicine, where he works as a Healthcare Informatics Data Analyst.
Watch to learn more about what Health Informatics is, and why T thought this program was right for him.

I want to major in Health Information systems or management. However, the school doesn't offer HIM an undergraduate bachelor's degree. What other undergraduate major would be good to choose in order to work as HIM? Also any advice?
    Thank you!

I have no background or knowledge in computer science or data analytic field. Will the master degree of health informatics be too tough to me? Do I need to self study python, MySQL or something like that for years before I can step into the health informatics? Thank you for your advice. 🙏
