    Is an information systems degree more useful than a healthcare informatics degree then if you don’t like medical jargon and dealing with doctors?

    • @waqqashanafi

    Thanks. But I want to know how a medical student can enter or take this specialist? Thanks

      @DigitalHealthInformatics  3 года назад

      Hi Ammar, you might be able to do an elective module on informatics during your degree or intercalate with an informatics course. There are also post-graduate degrees and in some countries their are specialist societies and colleges such as facultyofclinicalinformatics.org.uk in the UK or AMIA in the US: www.amia.org.

      @@DigitalHealthInformatics I am so sorry for the delayed reply. Thank you so much!
      The area I wish to work in is as a Health Informatics Consultant.

      @@Kj-oy5og I guess the next step would be to see you can apply for entry-level positions with relevant organisations or companies? Perhaps you could talk with local hospitals or perhaps healthcare IT companies such as Cerner or Epic? It might be worth joining a professional organisations such as HIMSS and attending their conference to network and talk with potential employers: www.himss.org/

      @@DigitalHealthInformatics Thank you for providing me with this information. I will do some research on the two recommended Healthcare IT companies.
      While in school, we were required to join HIMMS. A lot of the conferences I haven’t been able to attend with my son. But I will look into them as well. Thank you again for your help 🙂
