I took a course in " Apologetics " in Bible College and we used his textbook Kingdom of the Cults ... Walter was a great Bible Scholar with a great sense of humor... I could not stop laughing at some of his comments. I disagreed on some minor points of doctrine, but he was spot on doctrinally and a great man of God. We all miss him and look forward to seeing him in Glory. It is not going to be that long for most of us...I am age 72....I still wonder why God took Walter at such an early age ?..I guess He [the Lord] wanted Walter home as much as much as we wanted him here, and... His will be done...db
Same here I got saved 1982 and moved to USA 1983 from Sweden and started listening to Walter martin every day in Tucson AZ, and I started doing personal evangelism, and prayed many hundreds to salvation.

Swedish is a second language in our area.I have an 1848 swedish Bible brought over here by swedish pioneers in the early 1850.s..What a treasure it is and if it could only tell us it;s many stories. You can always tell a tree by its fruit. Dr. Walter Martin speaks the truth here and what he says is easily confirmed by the Bible. Those who object to this message mean for you to take off your armor and die. But to continue in the battle is to conquer your enemies through spreading the word of God and leading others to salvation via Jesus Christ. Believing Christians are guaranteed to win in life and in death, but we are also encouraged to fight in the spirit with Spiritual weapons, e.g. prayer, fasting, sharing the Word! When I look at comments such as the one posted by Jenn Cahill, it is easy to discern which camp she belongs to, but I pray that her light may be switched on that she may see where she is going.

He was lying from the early 1960s. What church did attend? What church was he the pastor of? None. Christians must face the reality that the critics of Walter Martin who claimed Walter Martin was lying about other sects and religions were telling the truth. Even Moody Press a famous Christian printing house found out that Martin was lying...At the end Martin was hiding from everyone. Running from his lies.
I too was a casualty for a long time in my Christian life until the Lord shook me up and taught me to put on the armour of God. Life in Christ truly is different now. I started listening to Dr Martin in 1980. He was among the first great bible teachers that impacted my early walk with the Lord. I miss him.
