Shawn Holmes he doesn't have many views because people love darkness rather than light. narrowed is the road and few find it but broad is the way to destruction and many are on it. this is why a secular artist can get millions of views

I had the opportunity to hear him speak at a local church in a city where I used to live. There wasn't an empty seat to be found! They were seating people in the stairways in the room. This is where I watched Dr. Martin's presentation. It was truly informative, entertaining as well as inspiring! I miss him dearly.

Erred on Baptism - Jesus COMMANDED it. Mat. 28:18-20, Mark 16:15-16. Peter COMMANDED it! Acts 2:38. That should settle it. How can anyone miss it?

The answer is found in Dispensationalism as described by the Apostle Paul. Water baptism was commanded prior to the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. It was for the Jews. Afterwards the only requirement was belief! Read every passage about the Gospel and every passage of someone coming to faith in Christ. Notice the difference between how God dealt with the nation Israel and then later the Church, the Body of Christ.

Shelly, it wasn't Jesus. You misunderstood what Jesus was saying. He was saying "I and the Father are one" therefore, in the Father, who is God, Jesus existed as the I AM. As the son of God, Jesus was and is God. After his resurrection, Jesus was the glorified manifestation of God in the form of the Son; equal with his Father, the Creator. You have to read Scripture in it's context.

The Old Testament is full of "types and shadows" of Jesus. That King of Salem is one of them. he wasn't actually Jesus, the King was a "type" of Jesus. Just as Jonah being 3 days in the belly of the great fish was a "type and shadow" of Jesus being 3 days in the grave. There is a book about all this, and shows ALL the "types and shadows" of Jesus throughout the Old Testament. It's by Todd Friel and it's called Jesus Unmasked.

It is commanded, but he wasn't denying baptism he was stating that, for some denominations, baptism becomes the sole focus, as if it were the whole rather than a part or an expression of one's faith in Christ.
